Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Believe it or not, more than 85% of my channel viewers aren't subscribed. 🙁 If you like my videos, please do SUBSCRIBE! 🙏 It would really help out my channel! Thank you very much! ~ Marty 💙
You're still The BEST !! I truly appreciate your style of teaching us. Slow, steady & every single step shown is so clearly explained. Thank you for taking the time.
It's unfair! 425 likes!? ONLY!? This man deserves infinity likes for his genius! i am not being crazy I am being honest this man changed the way my point of view is with photoshop
I lost my job due to the pandemic. I had Photoshop knowledge but not much. Thanks to your training, I learned photoshop, more precisely, I understood the working logic. I'm making a lot of money right now. Your efforts are very valuable and I thank you very much.
I could have done with this last year...not long before 'lock down' a friend asked me to do a portrait of him looking ( somewhat ) like the 'Night rider'...I ended up using a bunch of 'flame' brushes...worked 'ok'...but this would have made it better ! Thanks marty !
Just wondering how you arrive at the color choices. It’s either years of experience or trial till you find the color that matches. I’m guessing both. But for you to say enter ‘this color code’ and not ‘try this code to start and tweak it to fit your composition’ is what makes me think there may be a little more to it than the hunt and peck trial technique. I would probably import a photo of fire like the one you provide, then knowing the basic colors the eye would pick up on I would choose a white, red and yellow/orange and try them on my content. From there I’d tweak as needed. If there is a ‘color choosing’ technique that would be something interesting to dig into for me anyway.
My color choices were trial and error. For me, they seemed to be the best colors for this effect. It's a given that it's your choice to choose different colors. In most of my tutorials, I do state that the viewer should "feel free" to play with setting amounts, colors, etc, but in this case, I though it's not necessary, since the colors of fire are set mostly by nature, herself.

Can I make this an animation file? So make it so the fire is animated
The short answer is "yes", but frankly, unless you spend many hours stringing together flame images, it won't look good.
