Man you know when you get to the most anticipated part of a movie and you get chills, i literally got that reading your comment and was so freakin happy he pulled through
Reminds me of my favorite SM story from Spider Man Adventures. The Sinister Six (minus one) attack Spidey, claiming he already captured Vulture, who in fact, is off sulking. Earlier he'd attempted to mug Aunt May, snatching her purse. She yells at him that he's the reason people have a bad impression of NYC, a city she's lived in her entire life, and should be ashamed. He's surprised to find himself deeply hurt by this, and doesn't link up with the Sinister Six after. Later, after Spider Man defeats them, he heads home. Peter Parker answers their door to find Vulture, frowning. He explains that he found their address in May's purse, apologizing. "Tell the old woman-tell her New York is the greatest city on Earth " and handing Peter the purse, flies away. With a smirk, he wonders if maybe someone like the Vulture, has some good in him still.
This comic just shows how spider man is the real actual hero of the people this is what separates him from other heroes he does everything he could to help because of uncle ben he continues to do good even though it effects his peter parker life with a lot of consequences thats why i love spidey since i was 3 years old🤟🏽
“Fun” fact: Disney wouldn’t let a family put either a picture of Spider-Man or his emblem on the Tombstone of a a child who I believe passed away from a terminal illness. Disney said they didn’t want the character to be associated with death or some bs and offered the family a portrait of they’re son and Spider-Man as a alternative *Sony owns the movie rights to Spider-Man but merchandising and everything else is still controlled/owned by Disney since they own the Marvel brand as a whole*
@@LivingLikeLarry12 exactly. its sad. i can only imagine the grief that family was going through, and then to be rejected something so simple like this, its horrible.
*nwh spoiler* i really hope peter still has some sort of connection with may's homeless shelter post nwh. either he keeps on being the mascot as spider-man or him continuing may's legacy as peter would be really sweet.
This one and the one about the lil kid who had Spider-Man as his imaginary friend are both super good. Spider-Man is a superhero not just for his heroic acts but his kindness as a person he’s a super good role model
And that’s why Tom Holland portrays Spider Man the best imo. He’s not someone born into the role like Thor. He’s just this shy, awkward dweeb who does the right thing.
Can't forget what they were fighting for. The Sinister Sixty had stolen something important to New York City and it turned out to be a Spider-Man action figure
This is such a sad yet heartwarming one. It really makes me happy to see heroes doing such sweet things, and to think about how there’s so many performers in real life who do the same
Spider-Man is 100% the most heroic and kind hero ever. He could easily kill his villains, yet doesn't and he's constantly going out of his way to help kids going through tough times. If only he was real.
Friendly Neighborhood was such a great run, and this comic is absolutely iconic! This truly shows the heart of Spider-Man that not many interpretations go over
After being asked all the time I could never give an answer as to who my favorite superhero is. Then I remember Spider-Man is down to his core your “Friendly neighborhood hero” and I realize it’s always been him lol.
Other than the swinging Tom Holland goes out of his way to children hospitals just to hangout with them. Its honestly heart warming to see a triple A actor go onto do good for those who need it
Damn. I thought this was going to mention that one comic where a homeless girl, a SpiderMan fan, was dreaming about being saved by Spidey, but unfortunately she was dying due to kidney & liver failure. Spidey did bring her to a hospital, but the doctor said nothing can be done. And that was a rough one. Spidey said he mustve swung past that alley hundreds of time, and if only he saved her sooner. Seriously, that is rough because even these heroes cant be everywhere & save everyone. This one definitely takes that comic's sad crown. But there's probably a Spider-Bite in the SpiderVerse somewhere.
for me the saddest one, was when the heroes (not all of them) for there own selfishness, jealousy... betrayed Peter after "The superior Spider-Man" event. Dude it was sad and frustrating how heroes betrayed hin while the so-called villains believed him. I have a habit of getting to much immersed in what i'm reading so maybe that why.
While it was sad yes, it was for me also the most heart warming, as in the panel where Spider-man hears the kid is afraid he won't wake up, you can see Spider-man just staring at the kid and thinking what else he can do to make this kids day ❤
Wow the tears just came rushing out after this one. Damn Spider-Man is just a great person damn beating a super hero he’s what we should all strive to be and that’s the most positive person we can be. Damn thank you for this post.
I've never heard of this story. It's one of my favorites now. On par with the Deadpool comic where he saves the girl from jumping off a building and getting her the help she needs
It’s sad in a “Make a Wish” sense. As in the kid is going to die. But if you really get sweet out of it (and I see your view), don’t let me dissuade you 🤗 Everyone should be allowed to enjoy things how they want.
I'd say it's more wholesome than sad...sure, children having cancer is the absolute most depressing thing you can put in a story but to me, what saddens me as a reader is not the bad things that happens to someone, instead, it's the way he's dealing with it or being treated...
There is one where he shows his face to a dying girl. Spiderman is definitely a true hero in how he is written, clever in how he deals with his enemies, merciful and kind, and he struggles with sacrificing for heroic duty versus personal wants. Spiderman truly is amazing.
Spiderman has always been my favourite super. He's one of the most relatable especially for teens. Peter Parker / Miles Morales is just as genuine as it gets. When I read this comic it seriously brought a tear to my eye because of how meta it was. Heroes don't always need to save lives to be considered heroes. Sometimes a kind gesture can make you a hero to someone without you even noticing. This is what Stan Lee always talked about. Simply having a care for others and doing the best you can to uplift yourself and those around you.
Nah, he'd be saying that its a publicity stunt and thay he really doent care and trying to trick the populace, much like how certain political entities work when one side genuinely helps something. Like those floods in texas
Spider-Man is my favorite superhero In all versions of him,no matter his personnal issues or problems,he doesn't just fight villains or look cool with gadgets and stuffs,he helps people
This reminds me of how so many times Batman has the whole Justice league fighting yet he stays behind and consoles the kids! He held and hugged a kid and gave them candy!
I want to see this in the beginning of a Spider-man movie.
It's kind of criminal that we haven't gotten a scene like this in a Spider-Man movie when we have enough material to pull from at this point

Wasn’t expecting that ending, had me in tears. In the early months of 2019 my son (three at the time) was diagnosed with leukemia, his favorite super hero is Spider-Man. He pulled through his tough journey and is growing taller and stronger each day! I thank God for him pulling through the years of treatments. #mightymattscancerjoutney
Fuck yeah! Congrats my man!
Man you know when you get to the most anticipated part of a movie and you get chills, i literally got that reading your comment and was so freakin happy he pulled through
Glad to hear he's ok!
Duck yeah your son deserves that hashtag
Congrats👏
Spider man has been through really rough times but even when that happens, he always takes care.
Aw. That is the cutest, most wholesome comic ever.
faith in humanity restored even if it is just a comic. somebody put their time and effort into making this and i appreciate that
Reminds me of my favorite SM story from Spider Man Adventures.
Adrien Toomes was a semi good man, but was corrupted by the lust of.power by working at Oscorp. Maybe he does have some good in him

They did the same thing before but Pete actually shows the kid his secret identity because he only has two weeks to like I think.
This comic just shows how spider man is the real actual hero of the people this is what separates him from other heroes he does everything he could to help because of uncle ben he continues to do good even though it effects his peter parker life with a lot of consequences thats why i love spidey since i was 3 years old🤟🏽
Best super hero 🤧
“Fun” fact: Disney wouldn’t let a family put either a picture of Spider-Man or his emblem on the Tombstone of a a child who I believe passed away from a terminal illness. Disney said they didn’t want the character to be associated with death or some bs and offered the family a portrait of they’re son and Spider-Man as a alternative
*Sony owns the movie rights to Spider-Man but merchandising and everything else is still controlled/owned by Disney since they own the Marvel brand as a whole*
Holy shit your right I forgot that happen
What a messed up world we live in. I hate that that happened.
@@BioTacticalHumanoid yeah shows how companies like Disney only care about money

This is a perfect example of why spidey is loved
A cool detail is that the buildings in the background during the imaginary fight actually look like they were crayoned in
Omg I didn't see that until you said that
I love how Spider-Man is actually like the Neighborhood Hero, going to Hospitals and being with kids doing the cool shit

@@Chrysaor117 i LOVED that one
Oh my god these make me cry honestly it’s not always about the action it can be about little things to and that makes me happy 😭
This should be adapted in the MCU. I definitely see Tom Holland's Spider-Man doing this.
There's an episode in 1990's Series where he befriends a little girl and shows her his secret identity
Cuz after Spiderman his acting career is gone lol
Agreed
Well, he may not do it in films but he does irl
There's another issue where peter reveals his identity to a terminally ill kid. Spiderman was always the best imo
It was hilarious because she said she’ll never tell anyone for the rest of her life. Wait I’m thinking about the tv series.

This truly shows the heart of Spider-Man that not many interpretations go over
I liked this so much. Spiderman is not just a hero that fights, he is our friendly neighborhood spidey
After being asked all the time I could never give an answer as to who my favorite superhero is. Then I remember Spider-Man is down to his core your “Friendly neighborhood hero” and I realize it’s always been him lol.
100%
Spider-Man for marvel and the Flash for DC.
This was one of the first comics i heard of getting really into Spider-Man
I cried ugly tears over this
Sad yet wholesome. I wish we could have seen more of Spider-Bite.
I love comics that show their characters doing time out of their lives to do amazing things like this
I love the fact that exists, it feels a lot like deadpools "don't jump" but with the tone of the respective characters :)
This is why we ALL LOVE SPIDERMAN‼️
Other than the swinging Tom Holland goes out of his way to children hospitals just to hangout with them. Its honestly heart warming to see a triple A actor go onto do good for those who need it
That's just more reason Tom is, imo, the best person to portray Spider-Man. He personifies him so well
Oh wow, do you know the issue number?
@@jemstar63 Its Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Annual #1.
@@Walt_Xander94 Thank you :)
I read this and was just as tragic as the story "little match girl" with a bittersweet ending
for me the saddest one, was when the heroes (not all of them) for there own selfishness, jealousy... betrayed Peter after "The superior Spider-Man" event.
Dude it was sad and frustrating how heroes betrayed hin while the so-called villains believed him.
I have a habit of getting to much immersed in what i'm reading so maybe that why.
It's my second time watching this and still I feel emotional.
This here, is why I love Spiderman. He is a truly kind-hearted person who only wants to represent the true meaning of a hero
Honestly, it's a conceptual retread of 'the kid who collects Spider-Man'.
But there are a lot of other terminally ill kids who would like to hang out with Spider-man, so it's still good to see Peter doing this kind of thing.
Props to you on namedropping that story, my friend. And yeah are right. It's still a damn great story just like the one you mentioned. Respect.
Is that the one with the little homeless girl?
While it was sad yes, it was for me also the most heart warming, as in the panel where Spider-man hears the kid is afraid he won't wake up, you can see Spider-man just staring at the kid and thinking what else he can do to make this kids day ❤

I would love if they did this as a special presentation like the GOTG Christmas Special
Yeah and maybe be animated in stop motion or cgi or 2d animation. And I would watch it.
Now that's what you called a perfect well written story, and yes Wade it's not the lazy writing one.
I've never heard of this story. It's one of my favorites now. On par with the Deadpool comic where he saves the girl from jumping off a building and getting her the help she needs
Superman also stopped a girl from jumping off a building, I love when writers do things like this. It’s beautiful.
All-Star Superman #10
That’s not sad, that’s sweet! I’m glad Spider-Man spent time with the kiddo
It’s sad in a “Make a Wish” sense. As in the kid is going to die.
But if you really get sweet out of it (and I see your view), don’t let me dissuade you 🤗 Everyone should be allowed to enjoy things how they want.
This is why Spider Man is the best superhero. All this power, but he's also just a regular guy with a good heart.
I loved this comic, it really hit me when I realized the truth.

this is exactly why spiderman is my favorite hero. I love him so much.
I wasn't expecting that at all. Got me all teary eyed over here. What an amazing comic.
This is what makes spiderman one of the most beloved superheroes.
I'd say it's more wholesome than sad...sure, children having cancer is the absolute most depressing thing you can put in a story but to me, what saddens me as a reader is not the bad things that happens to someone, instead, it's the way he's dealing with it or being treated...
This reminds me how Tom Holland likes to go to children’s hospitals dressed as Spider-Man to see the kids🥺💗
I will always have a smile on my face that spiderman visits children who want to meet him before their passing.
Spider man is a freaking legend
Man, you don't gotta make me cry this late in the day 😭
There is one where he shows his face to a dying girl.
Spiderman is definitely a true hero in how he is written, clever in how he deals with his enemies, merciful and kind, and he struggles with sacrificing for heroic duty versus personal wants.
Spiderman truly is amazing.
One of my favs, I love how the buildings start turning to kids drawings in the last fight
Name of the comic please?
