@@briondeman5095 people get pretty opinionated about the DAWs but I think at the end of the day, if you pick one and stick with it you’ll learn the tricks and workflow. It doesn’t really matter as long as it supports your VSTs and interface which all the major ones will
You could also put all the 345-groupings on the kick. Delete overlaps. Then you can super-impose all three groupings with other instruments and keep the same pattern going.. Just a thought.
Yeah that’s actually a sick idea dude! Everything here is like a jumping off point and there’s so many creative avenues to take like that. I might actually try that and see how it works!
Dude, your an absolute life saver! Haven't been wanting to make any music recently cause I couldn't make anything that sounds good! This solved that!!! 😁👍
Nice tips and you are totally right about the impostor syndrome. Thank you, this vid gave me a fresh perspective and I'll check the other one too :) And have fun with the college times, I like how you talk and present the points but more importantly how you put bits and pieces about who are you really. It's missing in people nowadays, they just focus on attention and retention rather than being who they are
Thank you so much for the kind words dude! Glad you were able to get something out of it! For sure I know what you mean, everyone’s like a character instead of a real person online
You know how to mix and master? What aspects of a song besides mixing and mastering(last things a song goes through before being released) tells u that the song is complete and finished?
@@Grapejuice190 I think I know what you mean haha I’d say the cohesiveness of the song layout. Like making sure each riff flows well into the next without using cheap transitions like silence or drum fills. Also the timing and how “clean” parts are recorded. So like making sure you recorded good takes on guitar. A lot of stuff that I think is pretty intuitive it’s just tedious haha
Would you ever consider doing a viewer submitted mix/song critique? Because I Love making this music and no one can tell me if it’s good or not because it’s not their kind of music, if so that would be so sick, I’m sure Most of your followers make music and would want to know what you think about it
Dude YES I would love to do that! That would be awesome, I know exactly what you mean about nobody being able to tell you if it’s good because of the genre haha if you want to send me a track I’ll make a video with it for sure! You can send me a couple tracks over email if that works?
U suck at making music. Quit.
Ok ):
"I'm still writing it, so I haven't had time to hate it yet..." Literally most riffs I write fit with this statement LMAO
Brooo …people who write know that’s so real 😂 by the time I’m done with a song I don’t even wanna release it because I’ve heard it way too much lol
Dude I’ve been writing more and more lately- I relate to essentially everything that you said here so much. Great work 🤘🏻
Nice dude that’s sick! Thank you so much!
The fact you’re doing this in fl studio is fucking amazing
I’m too lazy to learn another software 😂 thank you dude!!
@@boofinintheboysroomHow I feel with studio one😂
There isn't that big of a diffrence between daws to matter right?

@@briondeman5095 Ableton is different because it has session view and you can sample yourself on the fly with perfect loops. I use both
