I miss boofin in the boys room 😩
I'm basically completely new to making music (been playing guitar for about 5 years) and I've recently tried to make stuff on FL, awesome advice!
Bro I need tabs for Billy Club For A Heart plssssss
Boofin bro where you at?
sick man thanks!
@@WforWrath for sure dude!
Cryptopsy's "None So Vile" has two great samples... the album starts with one (the beginning of Crown Of Horns) and ends with another (the ending of Orgiastic Disembowelment)
@@VenomousVillain36 I don’t think I’ve ever heard that second one but I’ll check it out for sure! Thanks dude!
the insanity of a thousand takes setting in, displayed by the no chick fil a sauce is too relatable
Ayyyy 666 subs congrats bro🙏
Hahah thank you so much bro !!
You know how to mix and master? What aspects of a song besides mixing and mastering(last things a song goes through before being released) tells u that the song is complete and finished?
If this makes sense lmfaooo
@@Grapejuice190 I think I know what you mean haha I’d say the cohesiveness of the song layout. Like making sure each riff flows well into the next without using cheap transitions like silence or drum fills. Also the timing and how “clean” parts are recorded. So like making sure you recorded good takes on guitar. A lot of stuff that I think is pretty intuitive it’s just tedious haha
dont know how i havent seen Faint by Linkin Park yet, thats one of the best and most iconic imo
Sample from 'Origin' is from Monty Python And The Holy Grail
Yo! Where do you take submissions? I have a band (Death Divide on Spotify) and a solo project (haven’t released anything yet), and want some feedback. Didn’t know you were doing this, sick man. Keep it up!
Also check out selfhatesociety by death divide, or axe to grind. Best songs off the EP. Kinda figured our shit out on the new album we’re putting together, so the vocals from our vocalist are way better and more controlled, and the production is better, but any tips you have are extremely useful!
For sure dude I’ll check them out! If you want to send it to the email in the bio that would work so I don’t forget! I know exactly what you mean dude, vocals are low key the hardest for me to fit in a mix haha Thank you man I really appreciate it!
I sent you the stuff, not sure if it went through or not.
"Orange tea" hahaha thank you so much bro, i cant wait to hear what you think
Both tracks were sick af dude! I corrected it later on in the video 😂
@@boofinintheboysroomthis was fr So Helpful
@@organtea4444dope dude! I’m stoked to hear it! Thanks again bro
It doesnt suck. Sounds sick. U too zoomed in the process as all writers and mixers are, but my fresh ears think this is heavy as balls and works great
Hahah that’s definitely a real thing. I appreciate the kind words bro!!
Would be so cool if u could do more vids like this, like writing a song in a vid. So good
Thank you bro! I’m going to try!
U suck at making music. Quit.
Ok ):
you gotta do hourglass byorphan
So sick dude! That was actually in the part 1 video!
@@boofinintheboysroom oh hell yeah!!!
On the same EP, PSYCHO-FRAME have an absolutely insane 911 call sample on Beaten Beyond Identification. Solid vid btw!
Daaammmmn dude that’s so heavy, I should have known when it said “featuring waking the cadaver” lol solid recommendation!! Definitely going in the part 3. Thank you so much bro!
Where are you from?)
Bay Area, California in the US
@@boofinintheboysroom damn man)
Subbed bro! Quality video. Thanks for sharing your approach and techniques 🤙
Thank you bro! I appreciate the kind words!
You could also put all the 345-groupings on the kick. Delete overlaps. Then you can super-impose all three groupings with other instruments and keep the same pattern going.. Just a thought.
Yeah that’s actually a sick idea dude! Everything here is like a jumping off point and there’s so many creative avenues to take like that. I might actually try that and see how it works!
Would you ever consider doing a viewer submitted mix/song critique? Because I Love making this music and no one can tell me if it’s good or not because it’s not their kind of music, if so that would be so sick, I’m sure Most of your followers make music and would want to know what you think about it
Dude YES I would love to do that! That would be awesome, I know exactly what you mean about nobody being able to tell you if it’s good because of the genre haha if you want to send me a track I’ll make a video with it for sure! You can send me a couple tracks over email if that works?
@@boofinintheboysroomYO LETS GOOOO
@@idrkginaf4204 stoked dude!
@@boofinintheboysroom Its all sent!
@@idrkginaf4204 sick! I’m gunna delete the comment with my email but I’ll try and get that recorded soon!
Really dig this, you should keep doing stuff like this even if it doesnt get views
For sure dude , thank you so much! I definitely will, it’s fun making these either way the views go haha
good luck with calculus man!
Thank you bro! I’m gunna need it 😂
Had me laughing throughout and when that shit dropped had me banging. Good shit man.
Thank you bro! I really appreciate it 🙏🏿
Dude, your an absolute life saver! Haven't been wanting to make any music recently cause I couldn't make anything that sounds good! This solved that!!! 😁👍
Dude I love to hear that, that’s so sick!! Thank you so much bro!
No, thank you!
Wrote our entire first EP in FL studio and since moved to cubase but after watching this, might have to jump back in! 👀
I’ve heard cubase is a super user friendly DAW! fr though fl studio holds a special place in my heart hahah
i'm a freak for fl studio it's tha goat for bedroom producing
Dude I think it’s goated for sure, the work flow is so nice and some of the stock synths are hella close to mix-ready
Dude I’ve been writing more and more lately- I relate to essentially everything that you said here so much. Great work 🤘🏻
Nice dude that’s sick! Thank you so much!
golden bro, keep up the work 🔥
Thank you bro ! 🙏🏿
Nice tips and you are totally right about the impostor syndrome. Thank you, this vid gave me a fresh perspective and I'll check the other one too :) And have fun with the college times, I like how you talk and present the points but more importantly how you put bits and pieces about who are you really. It's missing in people nowadays, they just focus on attention and retention rather than being who they are
Thank you so much for the kind words dude! Glad you were able to get something out of it! For sure I know what you mean, everyone’s like a character instead of a real person online
7:45 you are so right about imposter syndrome, BUT THAT RIFF IS SICK AS FUCK KEEP IT!!!!
It’s such a real thing haha thank you bro!! I’m so stoked about that riff, i cant wait to release it haha
"I'm still writing it, so I haven't had time to hate it yet..." Literally most riffs I write fit with this statement LMAO
Brooo …people who write know that’s so real 😂 by the time I’m done with a song I don’t even wanna release it because I’ve heard it way too much lol
Unga Bunga tone = big bend & really odd time groupings
Unga bunga tone is what I’m going to rename my preset 😂
@@boofinintheboysroom DAMN RIGHT YOU ARE
bro you are an absolute legend for making this vids
Thank you so much bro! I really appreciate it!
Boof scoot and boogie
New boof goofin
The fact you’re doing this in fl studio is fucking amazing
I’m too lazy to learn another software 😂 thank you dude!!
@@boofinintheboysroomHow I feel with studio one😂
There isn't that big of a diffrence between daws to matter right?
@@briondeman5095 people get pretty opinionated about the DAWs but I think at the end of the day, if you pick one and stick with it you’ll learn the tricks and workflow. It doesn’t really matter as long as it supports your VSTs and interface which all the major ones will
@@briondeman5095 Ableton is different because it has session view and you can sample yourself on the fly with perfect loops. I use both
I finally have a use for the pythagorean theorem.. nice
About the only time I’ve used it outside of school Hahahah thank you man!
Bars boys. Let's hear that thing you wrote.
Thank you bro! I’m stoked to put that track out. I appreciate it man!
Mirar just dropped their EP. You should do a reaction vid. It's one of those in my wildest imagination albums. Just insanely amazing.
@@analyticequals yooooo I gotta check it out thank you!! I’m so stoked to hear it
Nerdy fact, but the Weston Super Maim song samples the intro to Pig Destroyers album Prowler in the Yard (Jennifer). Sick video, dude!
I love finding stuff like that out dude that’s so sick! I’ll have to go listen to it. Thank you bro I really appreciate it!
boltcutter mentioned🔥🔥🔥they’re from the NW btw, also if u fw them check out big ass truck. more beatdown than slam but it’s hilarious and goes hard as fuck
For sure I’ll check them out!
Cryptopsy - Crown of Horns was one of the first samples I remember hearing.
Damn what a banger dude. I’ll put that in the next one for sure. I’ve been jamming their new album for the last couple months, it’s so good. Thanks dude!
I’m a member of the boof troop 🫡
😂😂 that killed me dude hahah thank you bro!
Does anyone know where the hourglass sample is from?
If you look it up there’s a Reddit link to another RUclips video that labels that 911 call as being from the “Longmont murder/suicide” . Apparently it’s pretty gruesome. I didn’t listen to it but it’s age restricted here on RUclips so I think it might be real
Ayy glad u liked psycho frame and amazing video, also props to whoever suggested MIRAR I've been loving them for a while and they rip.
Yeah for sure! Thank you so much dude! Yeah mirar is something special, I’m stoked someone shouted them out
Chased Through the Wood by Waking the Cadaver and The Optimis by Skinless have some of the hardest samples
I’m trying to save all the old MySpace era ones for their own video actually haha but those samples are sick af for sure. I’ve never heard the optimist, I’ll have to check it out! I have their “trample the weak” song for the MySpace era video I’m working on
Dude if you never heard of The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza you need to check them out! The song behind those eyes has a tuff sample at 1:53.
Bro I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about that shit slaps soooo hard. I can’t believe forgot about that one, thank you bro!! Definitely in the next one haha
@@boofinintheboysroom hell yeah bro Danza slaps and John Travis is a madman 😂
If you're looking for more Thall, check out Foreigns (Metropolitan EP and Concentric/Pneumatic). It's doomy and technical.
I’ll check it out for sure! I haven’t found any thall that really sticks with me but I always dig the riff writing for sure
great vid just sometimes need to see someone do what ur trying it helps. just found ur stuff ill keep up with ur stuff im in the same boat trying to start youtube and create good music to send out in the world. it takes time man i know how it is. ur doing great on the vids definately deserve more eyes and ears.
Thank you for the kind words dude! Nice man, it’s so much fun making music even if I’m the only one that hears it haha thanks again!

Haha thank you dude. Real ones know
