Building Collin Morikawa a New Hi-Toe 3 Wedge! | TaylorMade Golf

  • Two-time major champion Collin Morikawa is gearing up for a run at the FedEx Cup Playoffs-and @trottiegolf is on-site in Memphis to help build a brand new Hi-Toe 3 Wedge for him to test out.
Tricky shots around the green require deft touch, or a wedge artfully designed to navigate any situation. With full face scoring lines and Tour-proven raised micro-ribs, Hi-Toe 3 generates saucy spin around the greens when the face is rotated open.
Hi-Toe 3 has a higher center of gravity than a traditionally shaped wedge. It is designed to promote a lower launch and more spin for heightened control on full swings.

@@jadenngl 250,000 Wedges, 0.2h per assembly, 50 assemblers, = 1,000h each, if they run 2 shifts that’s 500 hours, or roughly a month. Then add in shipping times and you get to 3 months

Just had my custom taylormade irons and wedges. The only thing that was correct was the Taylormade logo. The length, loft, lie, swing weight were all wrong and the Grips had been stretched.
Have taken them to my club guy and he has sorted them now to be completely correct. They now play beautifully and are stunning clubs. Sadly my wallet doesn’t think that though.

Would a tour pro want his swing weight to be dead on from the hosel or added weight with lead tape from the back of the club. They are two different things when messing with the swing weight. I also guess spine alignment before epoxy does not matter to tour pros? I would personally want all my clubs to kick correctly. Crazy stuff

I bought a 3 wedge set of these and - unlike all my other Taylormade clubs, have had the hardest time getting used to them. They are so different from any other wedge ive played, its gonna take me months to build confidence with them. Good shots are REALLY good, but bad ones are CATASTROPHIC.
As a 7-9 handicap I'm just used to a little more forgiveness i suppose.

@@swordjo you can easily tape the grip to the shaft to get the swing weight in place. That’s how I’ve always seen these tour trucks do it.
