Messi has a better Assist per game ratio than Di Maria and Fabregas and basically the same as Özil and Müller. Its ok to leave him out though imo, to compare only the players who really specialised in assists.

I have to say thomas muller as he didn’t play just one position he has played multiple positions he has played cam,cm,rm,rw,cf,st,false 9 but he is known as the raumduiter(idk if I spelled it right) which translated to space invader. His overall career statistics are amazing and the guy forgot to mention that he technically tied james Rodriguez in 2014 for the golden ball but he was given the silver ball instead because james got 1 more assist I believe don’t quote me on this. But muller has been so consistent over his career
