In a private gated township , People are willing to pay so much for basic things like uninterrupted power , water , road , parking , cleanliness & club …
municipality can provide all these things to every urban household if they are unelected (just like New Delhi municipal corporation) where govt has almost no role or minimal role in providing utilities
All utilities are shared at cost basis
If a 900 flat society of DLF / Shobha etc can run so efficiently on rs 2/ sq feet then municipalities can run even cheaper as volume will so high for shared services
But these politicians will never ever let go of cash 💰 milking cows of municipalities ( elected councillors ) , all in name of democracy
Just imagine how many jobs will be created for services without any govt investment for utilities maintenance & how much these top tier politicians will be free from day to day nuisance of bilzi- sadak - paani , so that they can concentrate on bigger things
But no they will not let go of municipalities
