“Their win is not my loss.” That line calls out the succinct problem with social media, it’s a breeding ground for co-comparisons. Those clashing chords matched the lyrics “happier, prettier” building to the naming of the growing & consuming emotion, jealousy.
The piano on the bridge part was so eerie and creepy to me because it fesls like the one playing was losing it, but it's definitely my favorite part
The off key piano took this song up so many levels, you can really feel the emotion of someone getting taken over by jealousy, it’s amazing!!!

@@amytucker1902 Yeah I heard someone talking abt how they think her next album is gonna be called "sweet" mainly because 1. Olivia posted a bunch of clips of like happy love songs that didn't show up on this album and 2. she partnered with sour patch kids and their whole thing is "sour then sweet"

I feel like the off key piano with 'mistakes' was intentional, to give the song an uneasy, almost creepy vibe underneath all the vibe.

Hey Jacob ! I have a technical question ! Two of my headphones' left side is not working...and one of them is not even that old..like it has been used for 4-5 months and sometimes for a min the audio is coming but then again its gone...why do you think this is happening ? And can it be repaired ?

This song, particularly the vocal delivery, reminds me a bit of Meg Myers and her song Jealous Sea. The songs are quite different in many ways, so its not a copy or anything. But the similarities are there. I don't know enough about music to pinpoint exactly what it is. Perhaps it's the delivery of the chorus - just replace the lyrics "My Jealousy, Jealousy started following me" in Olivia's song and "Jealousy, when it comes, it comes in waves and I can't breath" in Meg's. Also maybe if you replaced the opening bass line with a similar electric guitar line?
