With Cheli's height and ability to move, I am hoping she can fill some of the void left by Aaliyah's departure and Caroline's shaky comeback status by moving bodies around in the paint and grabbing some much needed rebounds; Something we struggled with last year. Good episode fellas! Peace!
I beg to differ with transfers on UCONN for championships are very slim. Morgan will have early game jitters but once she reads defenses and UCONN run and learn the offensive sets Morgan will be just fine.
I think Cheli tends to move more like a forward. She's very different than K.K. I see her as being a lot like Nika. Ball handling, controlling tempo, running plays, and with her own individual drives or shots. I believe she might be able to play forward in a short-faster lineup. Her shooting is good, so she has a lot of flexibility. I don't know how well she would do in the lane against other taller players. Some players just keep their space and some aren't as naturally good at it. We'll see.
I think you guys are short-changing Cheli. Are you aware that she was one of four finalists for the Naismith National Player of the Year award??? Strong won it. Cheli would be called a "program changer" at most other schools. Think of her as a latter-day John Havlicek. (Look him up)
I like Cheli. I think she is long and athletic. She is versatile and can play multiple positions. She is a playmaker and not a scorer. I like that she seems like she is under Aubrey’s wing. Because she has some similarities with Aubrey. What will Geno think of Cheli? I worry that he might be worried that she is not a great offensive player. She is not really a shooter. And the team is full of shooters. So, that may work against her. Also, I have never seen her off ball. She was a point guard in high school. What is she capable of off ball? And the final issue is her health. She has had a hamstring issue for around 4 months. That’s gotta be 100% by now, right? I will be worried if Geno mentions she is still dealing with it. I like her. I am high on this player. She isn’t one I necessarily see cracking the rotation as a freshman though.

And Caitlin Chen ? You guys seem to think that she is no longer on the team, yet I’m sure she still is. And she was what, starting guard on the best team in the Ivy League? And wasn’t she captain of the team, too? I see CAitlin Chen and KK Arnold as starters, with the wonderful Ashlyn Shade coming in to spell either one of them. I see Morgan Chelli coming in to spell Caroline DuCharme.
I thought at first that she would be something like Nika (I guess Nika made an impression on us), but watching some more video, I don't see her as quite like any other guard we've had (since I've been watching them). She's sound, shoots well, handles the ball well, but is a good PG for controlling pace and running the team (a floor general). I need to see the team more now to really make better comments.
For me Chen is the second most dependable player on the team entering the season. She averaged 15.8 PPG last season and didn’t have the benefit of teams having to focus on defending Paige and Aaliyah.
Is cheli here to replace Aubrey in the future? I see that Aubrey has taken her under her wing and is showing her the ropes. I see her playing the same role Aubrey has, maybe even more. I even have her standing in for Aubrey if she doesn’t start immediately. I said her name a lot. Can you tell Aubrey is my fav huskie? Lol
She absolutely WILL be the darkhorse this season. She's versatile, 6'2", strong on defense, SMART and an effective scorer.
Agree 100%

Morgan's strong suit is her court vision and hustle. She will be fun to watch when she gets in the games.
If UCONN can avoid the injury bug, Geno's biggest challenge will be giving all of them sufficient playing time.

Very good. I have called her a bigger Nika when talking to people before. She looks a little like Nika.
it's either gonna be Shade & Arnold or Cheli & Ziebel, one pair will be odd man out on minutes.
I would predict that if any UConn player decides to go in Transfer Portal it would be Qadence Samuels.
Definitely true.

Good comparison to Aubrey. Now, how do we get Morgan to wear an afro? Hmmm.
She is the number 11th recruit according to ESPN.

Agree about Shade - she was my fav newcomer last season... I plan to come to the Georgetown game, will you be there? Any tips on getting a ticket?
