I just listened to Mario Murillo tell this story as it happened to him. Carmen was doing the music the day he shared this story and wrote this song after. Mario said later one of the witch’s wives became a christian and found Mario to share with him that her husband was haunted by that encounter-nothing ever scared him as much as that.

I've been listening to Carmen since I was a kid in the 80's! Carmen is anointed and his songs and messages helped to change my life. Thank you, Carmen and I will gladly share your channels. We need another revival in this World and more 'witnessing like in the 80's. Churches, regardless of denomination, must join forces and touch this world with the Power of Jesus Christ.
Precisely, denominations are irrelevant. It's obvious we need the Lord, so many depraved crimes, abandoned, neglected, and abused kids, wealth, self obsessed pampered rich evil people masquerading as holy men doing awful things, not giving just taking from thier flock, etc. Let's do what Jesus wants, clean up this disaster and stop bickering about insignificant details. The big picture is Jesus and teachings.

She watched TBN all of the time and would put Carmen on since she knew I would rather watch him than a bunch of older people who we’re most definitely not as cool as Carmen was! 😂😂 I didn’t know he had passed until I read the comments section. I pray he didn’t suffer too awfully hard. Cancer is evil.

Thank you Carman for your lifetime of music and ministry. This video/song came out when I was in high school and I attended his concert tour for this album when he hit Chicago. It’s just as cool today as it was then. Absent from the body is present with the Lord. Praise Jesus!
There is no one like Carmen. He could tell a story and get a message across, effortlessly, it seemed. God definitely used him and is still using him! I grew up with Carmen and I needed some "comfort food" from my childhood. This song is the song that got me hooked on his music.
What I liked about Carman is that he is very theatrical and at the same time teaches. Very few do this. Talks, sing, and puts up a theater play; when you hear these worship songs, I can see it in my mind like reading a play. All for the Glory of Jesus. Great storyteller
I think that's why he was so popular. He spoke to all cultures, races, and if you were old and young at the time. Who ever his team was knew what they were doing and it was wonderful!!

I can't be sure how I got to view this video back so many years ago. I just remember loving it so much. Still do. Jesus has already defeated Satan. We just need to put our faith in Him, stay in His Word and He strengthens and keeps us in His radiant love. Great, unforgettable video by Carman, with thanks for making it.

I remember going to his concert back in 1991 at Reunion Arena in Dallas. The area was packed and it was amazing. RIP Carman.
He was the only CCM Artist to pack out stadiums and coliseums when hosting his concerts and win souls for Jesus Christ while doing it
It would have been free, he was known for not charging to go, but took offerings during, just like church.
So glad I had the chance to meet him and get a picture with him and my family. 💕 He’s Rejoicing in Heaven as we speak! ✨

My Father gave his life to Christ in the summer of 1989. Once he have his life, he stopped listening to secular music and listened to a local Christian station and Carmen's Witches Invitation, Lazerus Come Forth was in high rotation then
. I came to Christ in 2003, now I feel the same way he felt 14 years earlier. I see two lives. Before Christ and After Christ.
I saw Carmen in concert in about 1986 with some friends. When he sang this song, we were on the edge of our seats. I love how his songs had a message and a story at the same time. His music made a big impact in my life.

My mother did the same, but I was born long before anyone knew about Carman. My mother prayed that I would be gifted in music, because Lucifer was the Chief Musician before he was cast from Heaven, and my mother wanted me to use his weapon against him.
I have performed and composed for piano, strings, percussion, woodwind and brass. But age and illness have caught up with me. My only instrument now is my voice.

That was the only problem I had with this video: There is nothing Satanic about black cats. 🐈⬛ To the contrary, many are friendly and outgoing, good with kids, etc. I know Carman, his musicians and production team meant well in this. But too many black cats have lost their lives to sacrificial occult rituals, to the point where shelters and rescue groups have had to place moratoriums on adopting them out around the time of Halloween every year. 😭 Homeless animals have so many challenges already-they don't need this one adding to their mistaken negative public impression.

I can remember back in the late 1980s and Carman had this written down on paper. He had not recorded it yet and we were at a concert and he pulls out this paper and begins reading it. AMAZING! My favorite part is where he references the scripture that talks about the disciples were bragging that even the demons obeyed them in His name and the Lord told them to not rejoice over the demons obeying them but rejoice over the fact that their names were written in the Lambs book of life! For THAT is the greatest miracle of ALL! I absolutely LOVED that portion of it because it completely leveled that playing field so to speak! You can not compare God and the Devil, that's just some stupid test for sure! It is further evidence of just how AWESOME God really is!
