Rodzice mówili po polsku w domu. Moja mama była wychowana we Francji i tak samo mówiła perfekcyjnie. Była natomiast (taka ciekawostka) wielką przeciwniczką _szkół dwujęzycznych_ za granicą i zawsze powtarzała, że była wdzięczna swoim rodzicom, że wysłali ją do normalnej szkoły francuskiej tam. Jej zdaniem ze szkół dwujęzycznych wychodzą dzieci mówiące źlei w obu językach.

Odd to hear him speaking Polish but, I forgot, his parents are both from Poland. So he probably spoke it first. Such a heart-breakingly beautiful 8 yr old, it's hard to believe he is too tall for some pianos!

Jan is such a balanced, mature, serious, self-disciplined, gentlemanly, brilliant young man. Although dedicated to his career as a concert pianist, he has acquired a broad, deep education by his own efforts. I understand he will go to university in Toronto. So I wonder how he will keep his concert and practice schedule going. Maybe he will give up touring the world. It's too early to describe Jan Lisiecki as " a great man" but it's clear he will become one of the greatest pianists of the era.

Yes, he is mad keen about flying. May God protect him and keep him safe in the air. I first heard him play at a BBC Promenade Concert in July 2013. It was wonderful - I have just bought his first two Deutsche Grammophon recordings. I hope he will return to England soon.
