Yeah. I was skeptical but it’s the same model. It’s really just the eye, it’s in a very weird position.
I remember all of the discussions about it and was really fascinated by this new character. I remember believing the salvage mechanic where he would steal parts, I thought that it was pretty cool. For the character itself, I remember some people calling him "Golden Bonnie" as he looked like a bit like Bonnie with the colors of Golden Freddy (during the time that every super cool mysterious characters were just golden versions of previous characters, like Golden Toy Freddy and such lmao)

I was introduced to FNAF when my friend told me "Theres a Golden Bonnie now!" and I was like "what?"
ive been an extremely deep fnaf fan since I was about 6. following all the lore and games since fnaf 2 was released and I never knew this existed till now
that's spring trap, it always was. The fandom ended up mirroring the image, this was never confronted to be "Fredtrap".

I was 6 in 2014 when the game first came out, and I've never heard of a thing named "fnaf" until between may 2019 I guess, and after reading these comments, I wish I were a fan since it came out and/or early days of fnaf, like 2014-2015, hell yea even the beginning of 2016 maximum, but seems late to me, but hey, it already happend, right? You cannot get back to the past, because time machine doesn't exist, for now..
And whenever it will, we may be wayy too old or hell, even if our little dusts would remain.

I remember the times even before this teaser when all that Scott Games had was "Offline" with a 3 in the corner when increased the brightness. Good times bro. I remember most people back then thought this was Golden Freddy and that Fnaf 3 is gonna be an origin story

I remember when people speculate that Springtrap from the first two teasers might be golden Freddy before the trailer for FNAF 3 came out which fully reveals Springtrap. And I also like the fan model of fredtrap is almost like Springtrap but with bear ears and a nice looking hat
I’m pretty sure the Fredtrap model shown in this video was made as a hypothetical tackling the question of “What if William Afton possessed Fredbear instead of Spring Bonnie?” but I could be wrong.
@@MeemahSN yeah especially I remember when people theorizing that the yellow suit purple guy/William Afton used that phone guy mentioned in FNAF 2 is Golden Freddy since Springtrap wasn't a thing until FNAF 3
i remember watching theory videos ab fnaf 3 before it was re,eased- specifically one by Pretty Grump Bear. their theory was that springtrap was a hybrid of Bonnie and freddy because of the weird features, the fact he had a nose like bonnie, but a button on his chest like freddy. i miss the days of fnaf when theorizing boiled down to counting toes and reading disappearing posters.
I think the mechanic for collecting parts would work better if the animatronic parts would have been scattered throughout the cameras and maybe randomized through the nights, and every camera would have something to press to prevent the part from being collected or maybe just simply looking at the camera would work, but then youd have to watch if salvage wouldn't try to leave for another part. Maybe not all parts would have to be collected, maybe even only 1 on the final night
its crazy to say that the teaser image is the same model as the springtrap we all know and love, really its just all in the lighting.
The "second iteration" part is wrong.
The original idea people had was that the *box itself* was alive and the toy parts were an animatronic hybrid which would attack the player.
This idea started with the "what we can use?" teaser which showed the toy box (the main name this hoax has) in a dark room with Springtrap in the background.
So that's what inspired the b.o.a from dormitabis
I remember when 8 bit Ryan claimed that the teaser image wasn’t Fredbear or foxy, but rather a withered version of Sparky the dog.
Probably my favorite of the fnaf hoaxes, there's just something about it that makes me laugh a ton. I'd love to see more videos on other fnaf hoaxes and some twisted metal content would be nice.
Fun Fact: That first teaser is just a cropped zoomed in version of the main Springtrap full body render.
I’m pretty sure someone put the spring trap model over the teaser and it lined up perfectly I think it might be the same model that Scott was messing around with the model for a good teaser render, accidentally made spring trap look nothing like spring trap and put it in just to throw us off lol
i rememeber hearing the name salvage and thinking it was another name for springtrap. i called springtrap salvage for a long time until my friends corrected me. i never knew that it was a bear tho i always knew it was a rabbit.
I believed it was golden fredbear at the time. I just had a hard time believing the whole "putting itself together with parts" theory, mostly just because I had an incredibly difficult time seeing how that would translate to the gameplay. The way the office is set up and the concept of it coming back to steal parts would've killed the horror and surprise aspect in my opinion, however I did oblige to call him Salvage until his official name reveal.
Springtrap is absolutely my favorite of the bunch now, right up there next to OG Bonnie and Security Breach's Monty.

I felt like I wasn't ever confident enough to say for sure what Springtrap was when this image came out, but I swear it always looked like one of the fox characters to me. The shading made (at least one of) the teeth look sharp to me, like Mangle and Foxy have, and the snout always seemed very canine, even if looking at it now, I see it's too short to be one of the fox head models. Then again, I only saw this teaser through other people's RUclips videos.

Salvage by itself is a fantastic concept, a gory endoskeleton that you have to lure away from the box of scraps to avoid becoming complete & basically mangling pieces of YOUR body to it’s
FNAF should have unique death screens in general, depending on who kills you
And also…Freddy-Trap’s name should be Bear-Trap, maybe he could be the remains of a Fazbears Pizza employee that got crushed to death by the suit, maybe being hung on a noose in Fazbear’s Fright to further induce…y’know, Frights!

Man the forgotten animatronics that people make or Scott made like a pretty much died out back in the days but I guess people still know it
Scary scenario: you go to see the fnaf movie and the only person there besides you is MatPat. Out of all of the empty seats he decides to sit next to you and every so often he leans over and says “that’s not what happened in the games”
After the movie is over he asks if you want to come theorize with him. You respond with “sorry, but I need to get home.” He insists that you come over, and you kindly decline each time. Once you finally get to your car, you realize it’s out of gas. You have no choice but to go with him. For the next 10 hours you are sitting in a room with him constantly talking about his new timeline and how the movie fits into the canon of the universe. You cannot leave, eat, sleep, drink, or anything.
That’s not what happened in the games.

I love that time of fnaf where we were making hoax animatronic based on our poor speculations based on the reveal content at that time, prime examples being sparky the dog, balloon girl (before dd became an actual animatronic) or shadow Freddy

I‘ve been with the fnaf community since the second game, although I‘ve never heard of these theories and discussions. Although when I first saw the fnaf 3 desktop icon after I downloaded it on my PC I thought that Springtrap was a rotten version of Freddy because the ears are out of view in the icon. What can I say I was only eight years old

I sure do miss the old days of when FNAF was still in it's early stages. Before the Lord will go absolutely nuts later on. Back when they were just simple theories like the sparky the dog theory. And a salvage character. At that point I was still in high school when the game first came out and I was pretty fascinated after the first three games. But now nothing makes absolutely no sense anymore.
Salvage and Fred trap are two different characters. Salvage was the hoax fnaf 3 character and Fred trap was a fan made character was a what if spring trap was a fredbear suit instead of a spring Bonnie suit

i like the myth of the william afton stealing the old animatronic parts from the box while your not looking but, he cant take his suit off. Since his body flesh already corrupted with springbonnie suit and it would kill him.
He said none of it matters now so don't hate on me for this, but Afton is not Fredtrap. Fredtrap was from a forgotten/abandoned fan game called "DSaF" where you play as an orange dude named Jack. Orange guy was seen at least once in FNaF, but he springlocked in the Springfredbear suit and turned into Fredtrap.

I think it was always SpringTrap it's just that Scott changed his look last second. Lore wise maybe this FredTrap is just another SpringLock victim other than Afton.
Fredtrap looks very similar to AmIReal (from Dormitabis)
AmIReal also has a body inside and the shape of the head is very similar to the one on the poster ("I am still here")
I know the actual reason, so he was originally gonna make it the Freddy suit cus the franchise is about five nights at FREDDIES Yk, BUT Scott also thought at the time that Bonnie was the scariest out of the whole squad so that’s why he made spring trap a Bonnie instead of Freddy

Someone actually made a fangame with the fredtrap model (The mirrored version), and in that game, Fredtrap was Henry, who, in their timeline, helped William kill the kids.
