My ancestors used to trade with Tibet many of my mother's family members are actually from Tibet since my home state Himachal Pradesh is on the border of Tibet we have so much cultural exchange. It's sad when we learn about our ancestors history and the current situation where China is actually killing our culture and Tibetan Buddhism is is not in good shape in Tibet , you will find it in India , Nepal aur Bhutan but not in Tibet and that makes us sad

Tibet was part of Indian civilization and culture for thousands of years. Kailash mountain and Mansarovar lake in Tibet are where Shiva and many other great indian beings stored their knowledge and wisdom in the form of energy. these two are most spiritual places in the world while visiting them people start bursting with tears of ecstasy.

Tibet's ancient civilization dates back over 4,000 years, with its development rooted in both indigenous cultures and external influences from neighboring regions like India and China. Early Tibet was home to the Zhangzhung kingdom, which is associated with the Bon religion, predating Buddhism in the region. The kingdom of Zhangzhung flourished in western Tibet and played a significant role in the development of Tibet's spiritual and cultural identity.
In the 7th century, the Tibetan Empire was unified under King Songtsen Gampo, who introduced Buddhism to Tibet, shaping its culture and governance. This period marked the beginning of Tibet's golden age of literature, art, and religious institutions. Ancient Tibet had a unique societal structure, with a focus on monastic life and spiritual pursuits, which continues to influence Tibetan culture today.
Tibet's geographic isolation helped preserve its cultural traditions, allowing it to remain a center for spiritual and philosophical learning in the Himalayan region.

It is India in fact that is 'lucky',as you say, to have the Dalai Lama living in our country. At least a little part of the good things that are happening in India now is due to his blessings and the punya - good karma- we have earned because he lives among us. When Tibet is freed India should insist that the Dalai Lama should still come and live in Dharamshala for, say, a month every year.

Uttarakhand Bharat before the brutal and cruel invasions conversions and divisions included Afghanistan, and surrounding areas, Tibet, and neighbouring, and of course the more recent Pakistan and Bangladesh. TIbetans the only honest ones and china greeks and many more studied philosophy Vedic gyan medicine, mysticism, the cosmosis, meditation and its branches and science ( 9 million books burned down when they cruelly destroyed evidence -and temples and much much more) then came the other branches with the same knowledge but then added stuff later by the people who then called it something else-but from our Dharm. SO it comes from there by date. Aryan invasion was made up, sati and caste was introduced by the invaders, lands snatched or taken away-and still no Hindu attacks shoots or sadly speaks up. THat is HINUds for you.

in their own country which was taken over by the british raj and now forming part of india.
