My Dr in New York, married to Jamaican woman for probably about 30 years, I have friend here in Dallas who is Ghanaian and married to Jamaican woman. 40 years ago when I lived in London, one of my Co-Workers, a wonderful Ghanaian man, who became a mentor and took me under his wing until he returned to Ghana, took one look at me and said "you are Akan"- long before Ancestry and DNA. I do hope to some day reconnect with him, and hope that I may one day visit Ghana.
So lovely to watch these videos. It always brings tears to my eyes, knowing our ancestors survived the journey across the seas, endure centuries of hardships. Now, a descendendant is able to return to the same land to give back and receive so much love ❤️. Asafa would love to know if at any point you felt emotional and a bit of tears flow?🙏🏿🇯🇲❤️
