    We bought my engagement ring from Ted. He was the nicest! We went back to the store a year later to have it cleaned and he remembered the exact ring he sold us! He treated every client like they were a personal friend, and his rescue "shop" dogs were gentle giants! This was a true loss for the Austin area.

    how truly horrific. she heard her husband, best friend and business partner of 30 years die, had to see and step over his dead body, also heard her dog get shot and killed. then she finds out it was her son and loses her son and daughter in law. this woman went from a happy rich successful married mother to a lonely childless widow. she lost everything she loved and knew. i cannot imagine the pain and trauma. i feel so so sorry for her

      I’ve seen so many of these cases where people kill because they financially fucked the selves over and they panic. Not a good excuse considering plenty of people are in the same situation and don’t murder, BUT it does make me observe people a little closer. Like, I’m poor anyway but it’s scary that people will kill to get themselves out of debt or poverty.

    • @odapunkt

    • @MadgeGreen
      @MadgeGreen 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@SpijenIt always seems to happen because of greed. I remember tons of cases where the kid or kids murdered their parents for money. One that I recall also killed his sister, so that he wouldn't have to split the inheritance with her. The female children usually do it because their parent or parents are trying to protect them from a boyfriend who is a bad influence.😢

    • @Spijen
      @Spijen 7 месяцев назад +3

      @@MadgeGreen yeah I totally see the pattern as well. Honestly, money can make people think terrible things. My mom committed financial fraud with my name/ssn so many times over the years that I owe a few thousand at LEAST that’s all from her stealing my info and saying she didn’t know how it happened. Recently I caught myself so mad at her I wanted to beat her ass, and I’m not even a violent person. I feel bad for even thinking that now that I’m cooled down, but that shows you just how badly things can get for people who are very violent in nature and/or are in an insane amount of debt/could inherit hella money. It’s scary, and why you should always be careful about money around people. There’s that whole case of a woman giving her friend like $30k to hold onto for her, but the friend spent it all and instead of telling the woman this when asked for the money back, the “friend” killed the woman instead. So fricking sad.

    The moment Corey called nick… harrowing..! she was obviously in shock even before she could say what happened and he doesn’t say anything, he doesn’t ask anything, he doesn’t say “are you ok?” Or “what’s wrong?”… he’s like “yes..? mom?” And then after she tells him dad’s dead, he waits and puts on the show “wait.. what?”…. It’s shocking to realize that he’s reaction is to the fact that , they are both supposed to be dead, but mom is calling him.. he’s like “yes mom?” Because he knows something went wrong with the plan, but still knows something is up.. he’s casually waiting for her to say what is up… and then when he knows, “oh ok, moms alive, dad’s not, I can act shocked now”. Evil. Also, the fact the girlfriend is out?!? They are both equally guilty in my book! Ridiculous!

    my heart aches for corey🥺 i can't even fathom the pain she felt. losing your husband and sweet fur baby, then finding out the person you loved with your whole heart, who you've bent over backwards for to give a comfortable life and his partner were the ones at fault - i truly just cant even wrap my head around it. jackie and nicks sentences are a joke! if i were corey, i'd probably end up in jail myself due to the anger i feel at the fact that the ones responsible for my partners murder are basically getting a slap on the wrist! true justice would have been all of the ones involved getting life without parole. i can't comprehend living my life knowing that the girl responsible in part for my husbands murder is just walking around living a normal life. i'm honestly just disgusted that THIS is how big of a joke our justice system is!

    The only thing I don't agree with when people talk about this case is saying "they adopted their killer" the adoption has nothing to do with this. He was their child. The same as if she birthed him. Their CHILD committed this. And I think it can be harmful in creating a stigma around adopted children.

    I just wish this never happened. What a horrible call to make.
    And she went right to her son for comfort after her husband died. "I need you". Then housed him and his girlfriend until everything fell apart again. That breaks my heart so bad. She deserves the world to make up for all the shit she's had to endure.
    Also the guy who said "if you're offered 100k, you're gonna think about it" no??
    Jackie's sentencing as well, just what the fuck.

It just so happens that the people adopting have a little bit of money that they worked very hard for. They were unable to have a child of their own. So they want a child so bad, they decide to adopt and give a child in need a better life. The power of the 🍑 or the 🍆 blinds kids to do dreadful things. Rest In Beautiful Peace Ted

I recently told my grown daughter about my life insurance and how much she would get. Then I looked at her and said, “Don’t get any ideas. You’ll probably never get it if I’m murdered.” She couldn’t believe I said that, but I watch too much true crime to think it wouldn’t be possible.

That the only way he saw fit to get what he wanted was to murder the only people that would have dead for him for love! He is a lazy excuse for a man! Couldnt work hard to make it on him own, he needs to be catered to! Discussing!

    Did they say why the mom was able to be spared? Thankfully, that was the case, of course, but I am surprised that they didn’t go to “finish the job…” Did they get freaked out and run?
    She was very lucky, but I can’t imagine the horror and trauma from that night’s event…

    I don't understand the cause for murder..money?like if he would've simply asked his parents, they would've given it from what I know.

      I think it's bc they gave them alot of money and paid all their monthly expenses but then wanted to be paid back. in their head, since they don't have any money left, it's better for them to have access to the money entirely without having to pay it back than asking for help and having to return what they borrow. it's absolutely disgusting

      Bella said they cut him off. He also already owed them heaps of money so they were probably giving him grief about that (deservedly).

    My guess is Jackie married Nick because he was next and as his wife she’d inherit it from him. Nick is awful, but they all got played by her and she got away with it. It’s terrible. She literally was the one who paid the money. How more guilty can she get?

    I never heard of this case before, Bella, so thank you for bringing it to us in your absolutely wonderful accent. I feel so sorry for the mom. She wanted so bad to run to her husband's side. I had tears running from my eyes. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and I can so relate to that. He was her soulmate and best friend. I don't understand how children can murder their loving parents. It makes no sense. Then again, evil makes no sense.
