  • With so many cryptocurrencies now available, it can be difficult to decide which to back, in this video we will look at the main differences between the Hedera Hashgraph and Blockchain technologies.
    About Hedera Hashgraph
Hedera Hashgraph was founded by Dr. Leemon Baird and Mance Harmon in 2015.
Hedera is a decentralized public network for you to make your digital world exactly as it should be. Hedera goes beyond blockchain for developers to create the next era of fast, fair, and secure applications.
    How Does Hedera Hashgraph Work?
In contrast to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ripple that use a Blockchain technologies, Hedera Hashgraph uses another distribution technology called a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph).
With Hashgraph, nodes use a gossip protocol to message each other about transactions, with this they exchange prior dates, times and amounts of the transactions they know. This allows information to travels fast, it makes it possible for all the nodes on the Hedera Hashgraph network to achieve consensus about a transaction in roughly 3-5 seconds.
    HBAR partnerships
Hedera has made some strong partnerships in 2020. With some of the worlds leading organisations becoming Governing bodies, currently consisting of 17 corporations including Google, Boeing, LG, UCL and more, this will eventually grow to 39 members allowing for a fairer control of Hedera.

Love your enthusiasm! I would say, it's highly unlikey one HBAR will reach the price of one Bitcoin though. Bitcoin has a hard cap of 21,000,000 (million) and HBAR a hard cap of 50,000,000,000 (billion).
I do agree that HBAR is substantially undervalued and ought to be in the dollars range not cents!

    • @MWalkerWilliams

Love the name! I think you’re right but equally there are cryptos that no ones ever heard of (including the founder’s mum) that are trading at £20+ Hbar has to be worth £10! Where do you think it’ll get to?

    • @coinmanthehbarbarian2342

@@MWalkerWilliams I think £10 is not unrealistic once Hedera's dominance takes hold and major companies (perhaps even governments) are using it in some way. Having said that, if HBAR goes viral and we enter HBAR-mania, £10 could come quicker than three years.

the price of HBAR is not what is important vis a vis adoption. More important is if its too early and get passed over by another solution. I wouldn't bet it gets past $2 in the next 3 years.

    • @MWalkerWilliams
      @MWalkerWilliams  3 года назад +10

How much would you bet because I’ll take that bet with you.
If you understood the maths behind the Hashgraph and the mathematical questions it solves (mainly the Byzantine problem) then you’d understand that it’s not technology to be passed over, it’s simplicity is its beauty. What mathematical equation is waiting to be solved that would make the Hashgraph redundant? Google, IBM, LG, the London college of economics, etc disagree with you.

Enjoyed this video but would tell you that I think you have some work to do in understanding BitC. It does have intrinsic value - it is pure monetary energy - as in it is energy stored as a digital asset.
Now, is that productive? Only if people can figure out how to use that energy to mine the asset on other things as well.
But standing by itself, the value of BitC is in its decentralized & scarce nature + it’s portability. It is a good base layer of money - like gold - but digital. Hashgraph is the solution to a different problem.
We should not compare BitC to currencies and Point of Sale systems like Credit Cards or cash. It is to become the world reserve ASSET - not the world reserve currency.
Anyways, I think if we used BitC to price things rather than the dollar and we used Hedera Hashgraph as the platform for all currencies, it would work out very well. Hashgraph is the solution to scaling up Distributed Ledger Systems and integrating them into the whole world.
I look forward to its meteoric rise as I hod’l more and more of it over the next year.

I already own, but Great presentation. For mine there is intrinsic value is the network/ transactions. As you discussed, blockchain has limitations but would be fine for large 1 off transactions. Any Crypto can start up and run on it with the same limitations.
Hedera however is a vastly different beast. Im not sure it'll be used to buy a coffee ect, although it easily could. I think it more likely its the engine room for other cryptos such as EFTPOS Aust are doing, transactions, smart contracts and so on. Hbar owners will likely stake their bars for income limiting supply to be a real digital currency imo. However why would one start a new Crypto with limitations when you can use the Hedera engine for lightening speed at a fraction of a cent per transaction? So for mine the Hbar owner that should stake their holding, is part owner of the network which could well become a new trust layer of the internet (mind boggling) who receives payments for doing so, much like dividends.
And that is the reason HBar is the first and only Crypto i own - i can see real intrinsic value built in.

Great but you used BItcoin as the comparison. Newer blockchains like Solano, Cardano, XRP, Phantom, polkadot, our next generation and process transactions closer to an in some places, maybe even faster than h-bar.
Another issue with age bar is the governance is more closed door while they have diverse companies that they've invited on board. It's still pretty centralized that who they pick and who gets to add to the governance which is basically a bunch of major corporations. Part of the technology is also copyright. The tokonomics also has a lot of issue too because you have a lot of tokens at the beginning of the project being spread amongst a few wallets.

Thanks for comment but have done many videos Hbar Vs and there isn’t a crypto that I’ve come accords that isn’t anywhere near Hedera in speed and none of the blockchains you’ve listed are even final (meaning they can fork) and the enteritis are therefore never 100% accurate.
Hedera is a also the most decentralised projects I know, for example did you know circa 54% of all BTC mining (entries put on the block chain) are done by less than 0.1% of the worlds mines and that 99% of all the mines in the world are in 2 countries. Not very devitalised! (Newer projects like Eth aren’t much better).

The main task for HBAR investors is to spread awareness because businesses, corporations, and governments would benefit greatly from the Hashgraph network but they don't know it exists. If the US Federal election last November was done nationwide on the Hashgraph network, nobody would be honestly disputing the results...because of the ABFT and immutable chain of custody built into the system. Humans are very bad at allowing for exponential growth, for example we naturally think that to earn £10m over 15 years the first few years you build a business then after that you earn roughly equally money every year. In actual fact you earn next to nothing the first 10-13 years then make £10m over the last 2-5 years.
The point being adoption will happen quicker sooner as time goes on. With HH it’s happening already with the NHS etc. I’d say within 5 years most of the world will know of HH.

Hendra Hashgraph coin as far as I could throw it. Look into there partnerships (council members) These are the exact companies that Crypto was set up against. Mega corporations, Banks, food tracking companies, app tracking companies and health service tracking. Closed source. Dig deeper.

I don’t agree with your concerns but if I did I’d say; You can stand outside in the cold on your own with you little placard, or you can join and at worst make a fortune and at best change the system for the better.

I think I’m a very nice person, I’m sorry I’m not ‘gentle’ but life’s too short and your and your families wealth is too important to me. You can not fight the system let alone change it from the outside. Take the tin foil hat off and get in the game.
