    You're great at explaining these acting methods, and thank you! I'm not an actor, but as a public speaker, you help me realize even more on how important it is to look and sound authentic when speaking. This is something I'm currently working on improving, more particularly when I'm doing a video. Most people in public speaking don't teach this, so it's certainly good to hear it from an actor's perspective.

      Awesome to hear all this! Public speakers can learn a lot from acting. Just as actors try to tell stories, public speakers do the same thing. They are trying to bring the audience in and engage in an enjoyable presentation. Many people I know have drastically improved their public speaking skills, simply from taking acting classes

  • @rebeccag8589

    Lots of interesting things on your channel for actors regardless of their experience level! I've been acting (primarily theater) for the past 30 years but I'll be the first to say I have so much to learn, and I love to grow :) One constructive criticism I have, and this was after looking through several videos- it would be great to see more examples of female actors (or actresses, I have no dog in this fight, haha) for range. Helpful in general, but particularly for those of us who are actresses.

    Great video! It really puts things into perspective. I'm Italian so I am familiar with our acting styles and standards, which tend to be "quieter", as in, "less" of acting than Hollywood; I obviously watch a lot of movies from the USA, which ends up being perceived as the standard for acting anyway; I am also a big fan of Bollywood movies, where acting tends to be "louder" and there tends to be "more" display, and most European people doesn't like Bollywood movies because they perceive that style as "overacting" which would automatically equal "bad" acting.
    Instead, it's not a matter of the "volume" the band is playing at, it's a matter of wether the band is in harmony or not. In fact, thinking of iconic performances from Italian, American and Indian actors who are considered outstanding, they all equally had me completely in, completely believing the character and the story, and this is what dammit acting is there for in the first place, isn't it?

    Forgive if I sound dumb, but I've seen actors using the 3 tools to act, but all it looks like is "on paper acting". With that I mean, without emotion layer, for me it all feels flat. I'm very aware that I'm watching a person on a screen. Their acting feels calculated, it's like I can see them think what to give. And that makes me disconnect with the actor in the movie/series

    Hey quick question is the 10 hour master class just a list of videos or is it smt else and are they the same as going into a in person life acting class?😭

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 месяца назад +2

      It’s a 10 hour masterclass created in a very specific way to help the actor improve from the comfort of their own home. You can work at your own personalized and designed pace and use implementable tools to advance your acting skills. Many actors either use the masterclass on its own or in conjunction with another in person class. It solely depends on the needs and wants of the individual :)
