Responsibilities of a Prospect for a Motorcycle Club is the title and topic for this week. As folks start their journey in joining a motorcycle Club there are duties and responsibilities that they will have to have. We also talk about what's needed in a prospect kit to help you get started. I got some of this info after reading a post on the Old School Biker Movement. Prospecting is a marathon not a sprint. Did my prospect over 25 years ago and still think it was best days of my life . Hard work starts after your patched in
It’s harder to keep it then get it 💯 thanks 🙏
What else have you done in your life?
What kind of “hard work”
I get enough trouble on my own thank u very much
@@Byronwi there's Christian clubs mom an pop clubs social clubs riding clubs etc. Not ever club has a gang land episode
I just got voted in Prospect today, Thanks for the sound advice!✊🏽
Hell ya!!!
I knew a guy that destroyed his marriage trying to get into a MC. Devoted all his time to the whims of members and neglected the duties of being a father. Wife left with the kid. He never did get in. He got the boot.
That's fuckin bullshit. He lost both and gained nothing. If a man is willing to give up everything, he deserves something.
Absolutely fucking bullshit. Sounds like they just used him for what they could by hanging the patch carrot in front of his nose. But, what do i know? Every 1% ive ever talk to about joining says the same thing to me. Hangaround period is the most important part. Youre there to see if you and the club click, not to be someones down right booger. Theres work to be done, but at the end of the day youre a man not a fucking slave
I support my husband 100% in his new lifestyle and love knowing that I'm going to be an ol lady!
@@rachelgawrysiakschwister2982 PROPERTY is the real title.

Some wise words. Also, for the patch holders that smoke, learn their brands and always have a pack for 'em. I carried a carton full of each brand (1-2 packs per brand).
They will get you on the brand and length
Hope you don't live in someplace where smokes are expensive.
Great tip on having a pen and lighter on you at all times. Bad day for me not having a pen when asked upon to go around to members to sign a get well card for a sick member.
🤦🏻♂️ ya my problem was I let someone use my only pen. Soon after they gave me a nice long food order. You learn quick to just have a bag of pens and sharpies.lol thanks for watching and for the great story. 🙏
This is all true. Especially about a kit. I didn’t have one at first and couldn’t remember shit lol
Lol ya. You start learning you need to write stuff down quick. Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks for letting us join the ride. Love the bars
Thanks 🙏
Your handle bars are dope, I've been trying Invision how I want my bike to look and I love how yours are! How does it ride? Would you change anything?
You can't be in a motorcycle club if you are a mechanic, especially if you work on Motorcycles. I found out the hard way. I've been making money fixing stuff from the age of 12. I was born to it. When I joined a club I found out that everyone expected me to work on everything they had for free because "club". Then they all got pissed off because I was working on non-club member bikes. How do I support myself working for free? I quit that club and a couple of years later I tried again. I got the exact same shit from that one as well. All the faces were different but the attitudes were all the same. Your a "Brother" so you can't make any money. That was the end of clubs for me.
Well that’s all dependent of a club. I’m around a club the the P is a Harley mechanic for 12 years. BUT they all know to take the bike to Harley unless he specifically is the one that says no I will help you out. Many guys who aren’t mechanics that are gear heads in clubs I know love working on bikes and will help others. But that is club dependent and I understand what you’re saying. That would be frustrating. That’s your profession not charity. Thx 🙏
Happened that way for me as well, but any time they had shit to sell, you was paying for it because you shouldnt do a brother that way.
Only as a prospect did i do free work for big brother. I help my club brothers on labor for free on basic things. Materials and parts are always paid for by bikes owner. Now im a full patched member of my club even big brother has to pay for my services. Im a man just like they are and I'm not scared to tell a 1%er no. Sounds like you were...
Man , i can barely screw in a lightbulb no brothers want me near their bikes 😂
@@markmanahan6469 He just didn't know how to scale his business
my 2 cents.
As a Prospect, it is also your opportunity to understand if the club is for you.
If they are complete asshats to Prospects - do you want to be part of that shit? The prospect period is a 2 way street - the club to see if you are right for the club, and the club to prove they are worthy of your effort.
I agree. I treat any prospect as if they can be the future P. Thanks for watching 🙏
I slightly disagree. The hangaround period is for you to decide on them, the prospecting is for them to decide and develop you. Just my opinion though.
What are the benefits of a MC?
@@mptorecon dude crashed his bike drunk and club was there before the police. We staged debris in the road to make it look like he was trying to avoid an obstacle and hauled him to the hospital. This all took 10min and no DUI for my guy.
@@nickg2884 so the benefit was instead of his “brothers” preventing this felonious acting rider from breaking the law. They instead became accomplices to a crime. That’s pretty awesome. That’s exactly what I want to be apart of, a group of immature a$$hats that are willing to endanger others for a hangover. Yeah the benefits must be absolutely phenomenal!
That’s why I ride alone or with a couple of non-MC buddies. I don’t need that kind of validation. To each their own. Ride safe.
Nailed it. ALWAYS have a prospect kit!
Right on!! Prospect (s) are aware "if they should be fortunate" to be a full time member....or stay, or leave the club. Kit is a big deal in my club!! Great video!!
Yes it is. Thanks 🙏
100%. I always had/still have pen, piece of paper, lighter, smokes (i don`t even smoke) ibuprofen, paracetamol, condoms, one of them power banks for a charging a phone, a couple other things I wont mention. Oh yea, some cash money and a multitool.
Yes! The cash one I learned big time haha. Ya I carry a lot now. Plus cigarette lighter air compressor for tires 😆. Thanks for watching and for the great comment 🙏

Congratulations on the prospecting. Wish you well in your endeavors

After watching videos like this I understand that I am not fit to be in a motorcycle club. After having gone to Iraq a couple of times and having people try to blow me up for a living I am not kneeling down to someone who wants me to wash their motorcycle or light their cigarettes' for a living.
Ya I completely agree and not all do stuff like that but I bet some do. I always would respond would you do this yourself. If they say no then nope.
My kit was a lighter, pen, and pocket knife,,,looks like great riding weather,,,cant wait till spring,,ride safe, #GETWILD

Very interesting video. Ive always been curious about what its like being inside a legit MC and the reason to being in one. Thankyou for laying it out as agood as you did brother. Ride safe. Greetings from Miami
Thank you 🙏. Miami is my original home town. Soy cubano
@@WildOn2sVlog No wonder lol the character in your tone of voice is very Miami like. How different is it riding in Texas?
@@revvinrav lol ya I used to have a very thick Cuban accent I mean “miami” accent. But I moved around a lot. Texas has much more roads to ride. There hills, mountains, flatland, etc. MC sets in Texas is polar Opposite to Florida. But I really enjoy riding in Texas more then Florida.

Always have super absorbent tampons in your prospect kit. If you don’t know why, ask your sponsor.
This is very very true
AND
-- 3M electrical tape that comes in a round plastic box, put a clean razor blade and small paper clip or pins(s) - safety or sewing - in it. Put it in a quart size ziplock bag.
-- Tampons, super absorbent pads, a few folded-up sheets of paper towels, a small $.99 finger nail clipper and a cut-down pencil. Put all that in a separate ziplock.
-- Put both of those bags in a gallon freezer ziplock along with a bright orange plastic rain poncho and a "space-age" reflective blanket when you go on a ride.
You're now set to McGyver damn near any physical medical issue including some serious trauma and a sucking chest wound or two. (Electrical tape is far and away superior than duct tape for all things medical and almost everything else - no residue, is blood/fluid and hair "friendlier", and is as elastic as you would ever need.)
I was a medic in the Army in Iraq. I know why I carried tampons and pads In my aid bag.
Just gained full patch after 11 months it was fun
Congratulations 🎊
You are in SA TX! I recognize BAMC on the right going south bound on 35.

It’s funny when people inquire about our club (ems motorcycle club) and are shocked when we tell them there is hang around and prospect period. Ummm it’s the most important part of it and should be fun!!! Thanks for the great video

So prospect kit should include: pen, lighter, notebook, first aid kit, and multi-tool. I also have a mini jump box, bunjee, kindstand plate, mini power bank and chord, small mc toolkit with zip ties, lens cleaner (night rides really bring out the wings and buttholes), a beer coozie, and rain gear when necessary. A solid kit is key. Pad/pen, advil, pepto, tums, condoms, mints/gum, lighter AND matches (better for cigars), rolling papers, tampon, all in a small ziploc bag, and ALWAYS keep it on you.
Hell ya. I learned to keep lots of zip ties 😂. That’s a great list. Usually my first aid has the meds and tampon and my other kit has the rest. It’s funny how things start building up. Thanks for the great comment with tip. 🙏
Why the tampons?
Why tampons?
@@bubbaj2667 Sometimes old ladies and girlfriends will go on rides with you. Not to mention good for nosebleeds and other wound treatments.
Tomorrow is actually my 2 year anniversary of getting patched, and I need to make up a new kit. It’s always good to keep one. After all, you never really finish prospecting. What I mean by that is, even after getting patched, the clubhouse needs to be clean, bar stocked, and you always still need to look out for your brothers.
Think before you blink old saying Rome wasn’t built in a day enjoy the journey but remember the mc road isn’t always smooth

Joke prospecting. 1%er clubs you need to give up everything for a year, girls, jobs, everything comes 2nd after the club. I know guys who said it was the best and worst year of their lives.
Ya that’s not totally correct. It’s all club dependent. I know many clubs that won’t have someone lose a job or family if they can help it. But some do lol
@@WildOn2sVlog That’s great man honestly. The club I’ve been hanging around with is all or nothing it’s pretty much 7-365 but I love the guys and I love the club, to me it’s a sacrifice well worth it. Thanks for the info as always brother! Love this page

Had a mad dash bag since I learnt what a Minute Man was. It has evolved over the years to what I have now. Good for a week as it is. But it can be stretched to last longer if the need arises.
@@bailey78 sorry to ask, but what is a minute man?
@@rachelgawrysiakschwister2982 a minute man is a person that was a member of the local militia ready at a moments notice. They were the backbone of our freedoms. I will see if I can post a link giving a better discription. Here is a bit of wiki
Minutemen were civilian colonists who independently formed militia companies self-trained in weaponry, tactics, and military strategies, comprising the American colonial partisan militia during the American Revolutionary War. They were known for being ready at a minute's notice, hence the name.[1] Minutemen provided a highly mobile, rapidly deployed force that enabled the colonies to respond immediately to war threats.

The Lexington Minuteman monument, 1900, by Henry Hudson Kitson
The minutemen were among the first to fight in the American Revolution. Their teams constituted about a quarter of the entire militia. They were generally younger and more mobile.[citation needed]

But for what club? I don't see a cookie...
@@markmanahan6469 cookie??? Hell naw. I never wear a support cookie for anyone 😂. I was in a 1% club for a while. And in the set for almost 20 years. I was the president of my chapter. Hung rags 6 months ago. Wanted to go back to old school club. No support here. So back to official hang around for a club now. Will say one of the oldest clubs out there 😉
Do mc members who did get to take their cuts to the grave or does the club take them back? Thank You in advance.
Some believe that you take it with you others consider club property. I seen both
Ty
Question for ya; what kind of age range have you seen in prospects? I've known a few clubs that will allow someone to make the step from hang-around to prospect around 22 but haven't heard too much about "older" prospects (35-40+). Basically, is there a "too old" to prospect?
Lol. Look at my video ruclips.net/video/Ez_vTcO5ZKs/видео.html But I seen 64 year olds prospect for big 4 club
I’m a hang around at 56. Military and some time in the can. Better late than never
My husband is 41 and just started prospecting.
30 years old (little younger than your question) but I just started probating last month
What is the difference between a motorcycle club, an MC and a 1% club? Is it levels of illegal activity ?
Great videos! I've alway wondered though how come you ride without your vest sometimes? Is it not in your bylaws? I understand if this is outside of my lane and meant no disrespect, I was just wondering.
Ya that’s a loaded question lol. Majority of clubs don’t have in the bylaws to always ride with your rags. . Could be various reasons. One could be going to work (at work that might cause issues) , slick back is done when doing intel, and or if riding through areas that LE sees colors as gang laws. And few other reasons.
Also I was the president in my chapter for while but I am no longer part of that club as of several
Months. I’m still around the MC set though 😉
I got asked to go to Mexico at 2 am and pick up a pack of cigarettes from Nebraska ... they followed me there

If I understand right the Prospect Period can be different at e.g. HA - BC - MONGOLS - OUTLAW from some another 1% MC's you will be asked to carry out stupid tasks that are not related to the daily, running of the 1% Mc, e.g. you can be woken up during the night by a Full Patch asked to provide a Hot Pizza, Coffee a Condom and other stupid task not related to your performance? is that true?
Well i can’t speak for those clubs but it’s not the club but rather the sponsor him self. If I got a call for that I would be pissed. Normally they ask for that if your around already. Most clubs even those it’s daily operations and the. Some fun tasks. It may be kind of silly but not bad. Normally the saying is that I wouldn’t give a task to a prospect that I wouldn’t do myself. I have friends in some of those clubs you’re talking about and they wouldn’t do that.
Can u do a video on leaving one Mc and going to another
One of my latest vids I talked about returning to former club and prospecting again. In that vid I go over that a little. But I can prob just make a vid on that specifically. Thanks 🙏
Do u have to wait 6 months before join another Mc or joining a club that is trying to start up

I’m just curious. You’re a member of an MC, and you’re on your bike without your cut. At least, the cut in your other videos. It could be a new cut or a different one, so I don’t want to make a full assumption.
I’m not a member of a club, so that’s why I ask this. Is this a thing? I’ve heard that when you’re in an MC, you aren’t supposed to be on your bike without your full colors on. Are there reasons that we can know as to why members wouldn’t wear their full colors when on their bikes?
Thanks fir watching. Well few things that’s not the case. Most clubs you have to wear your colors while in a bike unless it’s a place one work your going to that wood get you fired, when you are slick back for recon, also being in RUclips some clubs will not allow it at all.
