Felemelő megnyugtató, égi hangok. Őn AlbertSchweitzer örök!
Love ALBERT SCHWEITZER for all he gave to the world. A great human being, a wonderful musician, a loving doctor in Lambarene and christian. Deepest respect.
The pipe organ is an extension of the organist in many cases. This gentleman gave planet Earth so very much.
Dr.Albert Schweitzer,Organist, musicologist and famous in some others direction th❤️😍at are long in our memories🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍🌏
Herrlich! Die alte Schule des Bachspiels.
There's something of a celestial quality to Albert Schweitzer's playing of Bach's Chorales, especially the first movement 'Jesu wir Sind heir'. Its as though the music is distantly carried in the air, wafted by angels from high.
so true !
His playing the organ raises me up nearer to God.
What a wonderful sound .Thank you for sharing from South Korea .
Schwitzer's etherial playing of Bach's corale preludes is a most beautiful experience. Thanks for posting from Thailand..
it pierces my heart!
Beautiful playing! Wonderful taste in registration. Near perfect balance among the various voices in each of these cherished chorale preludes of the greatest composer for the instrument who ever lived. Each piece has about it "The Ring of Truth," because it is played with great insight, true humility and not the faintest trace of self-aggrandizement.
true humility and not the faintest trace of self-aggrandizement. Thank you for this true comment!
I deeply respect his honesty.
Thank you, from Japan.
Schweitzer's organ is amazing ! Believe the Music Power !!
I wish it would never end
one of the best playing I have ever heard.
Schweitzer.
Fantastika
Indeed a Wonderfull taste in registration!!!!
oh yea I know nothing quite like it.
Beautiful, charm! All the best, as an instrumentist, Christian and man!
Admirável músico. Um ser humano incrível. Bela história. A música toca a alma. Poucos possuem tantas qualidades.
There's a lot of love in this music and in the way A S plays it
Sl glad I'm not an expert. I just so love Bach . Soli Deo Gloria
Since I found this on an LP left in the staffroom in Norway in 1969 I have loved this music
I have two vinyls of Bach's preludes and fugues played by Albert Schweitzer. Actually I almost cannot listen to other performers playing Bach's Orgelmusik - they seem kind of unauthentic to me, after Schweitzer's performance.
MARAVILHA !!!!!!!!!
Brilliant! You have achieved something ethereal, atmospheric and utterly satisfying with these elderly recordings, which I remember well from the early 60s. I'd listen to them intently along side of those Cochereau, Richard Keys Biggs, John Eggington and other period luminaries, pretty well unsurpassed until those of Simon Preston, Noel Rawsthorne, Richard Elsasser and Piet Kee, to name a few, joined my collection.
Apaisant.
Wow, this is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.
A great and good man!
Bach und Dr. Schweizer über alles !+++++++++++
Wirklich!

Bach und Schweitzer waren Deutsch.
Also meinst du doch Deutschland ueber alles?
+Andros Noe Ja .
By the way:
Albert Schweitzer (14 January 1875 - 4 September 1965) was a German-and later French-theologian, organist, philosopher, physician. He was born in the province of Alsace-Lorraine, at that time part of the German Empire, though he considered himself French[citation needed] and wrote mostly in French.

Not quite true. He was German and was taken prisoner by the British forces in Afrika. After the war ended, France Grabbed his homeland - so of course - he was made into a Frenchman. His most important books: biography of Bach are in German.
Could listen forever... thanks again
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Maranatha !
Dr. Schweitzer made organ sound like a baroque musical instrument. Playing organ he did not try to imitate the roar of a jet fighter buzzing by, like many modern musicians do.
Gratitude for your exquisite explanation!
Beautiful ! Thank you so much ;)
my dear saint,my dear saint.
thx for this
my 2nd favourite organist next to Germanni and Walcha
Charlotte Whyte also for me!!!
The Bach's soul
👏👏👏😍Amei.
Schweitzer also had a degree in philosophy and wrote a very interesting biography of Bach - from a philosophical/psychological perspective. Unfortunately it was written in German, his native language. If you can find an English translation of it read it.
Beautiful! Thanks a lot!
Csodálatos EMBER.
Albert Schweitzer or up to what heights a human being can fly.....
how this sound i thought walcha is the ultimate sound
Beautiful and elevated. I was trained in quite a different aesthetic. But this is very beautiful. Could you tell us on what organ these works are performed?
A very beautiful rendition of Bach's work, both in playing and tone. Thank you for sharing. Do you have any details as to when and where this was recorded?
I am glad you like it. They are the same well known Schweitzer recordings, very old, noisy and dry recordings . So I better used to hear them through a convolution reverberation software. Sound becomes deeper and noise almost disappears. Then I had the idea to share my experience.

The proof that God exist.
Please: when and where were these great performances of great master Schweitzer recorded, which church and organ? Thanks.
These recordings took place in October, 1936 at the church of Ste Aurèlie in Strasbourg, France on a Johann Andreas Silbermann organ, built circa 1750.
@@danielzamora5272 As a student, I played this organ in the 70th. Nor the organ of Sainte Aurélie,, Saint Thomas or of the Cathedral were restaured. We used to go to Marmoutier and Ebersmunster to play the Silbermanns, which were in their original state, and quite playable (as well as the the beautiful and poetical Silbermann-Sauer-Kern organ of Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune).
I would appreciate knowing about the instrument he is playing, and where.
!!!
O lamm Gottes unschuldig ex aequo with Liebster Jesu wir sind here :-) Bah was one of genious musican of his time :-) slawomir_wilczek@op.pl from Poland :-)
