I usually create a character and get a mini first and then see what fits them... right now that's a barechested himbo Witch who looks like forbidden hot Radagast
SHARK FACT: The word shark referred to a scoundrel or villain (i.e. card shark, loan shark) before it referred to the animal! It comes from the dutch word 'schurk' which describes someone who is predatory in nature, fitting the view of sharks as dangerous predators by those that encountered them at sea - Wheels
@@00blaat00 Fun fact: That word comes from Icelandic word "ha" what seems to mean shark-kind of fish. (I know that only because I started look after what is etymology of Finnish "hai", which means shark in Finnish. And it has same etymologic root as Dutch "haai". Finnish "hai" also can mean "exceptionally good", or in game mechanics exceptionally strong thing, or strong thing what have different rules than other game. For example in card game combination of cards together with "Ace" card can be called as "Ässähai" - "Ace hai/shark". And if someone is really good in languages or mathematics or so, it can be said "they are hai/shark in languages/mathematics/etc..."
gotta say, seeing frostgrave actually being played really shows how out-of-control it is - not just from a mechanical standpoint, but from the way it encourages you to take bits from other board games and minitures games to build your armies and the environment. really clever design that takes the strengths of board games at their core, kind of want to play it now!
More Frostgrave pls! MOAR! Loved this and you kinda inspired me to look deeper into my board game collection for good terrain and stuff. Also, it's good to know that even tho I don't get around to actually playing, someone else does...
This was an awesome game, and you guys are super fun! This channel is incredibly underrated. I'll definitely be picking up a couple boxes of Frostgrave minis and giving this a try.
@Ash Abercromby I just found it today he did a great job explaining everything. Just wish my groups were more interested in it. They’re more into Warhammer and Marvel Crisis Protocol. Nothing wrong with those games, just like to try new games.
Thank you so much for making this, I love this game! Favorite school: Soothsayer. Watch out for the all powerful Tele-leap-pushers, they'll unbalance the game quickly (unless controlled with well placed fog/walls, Forget Spell or teamwork), honestly biggest con of this legacy system. Someone invariably taking the lead early on with the other teams being left well behind with them taking lions share of treasure. Which is why 1v1 works best IMO. 3 or more for one offs. Making a home brew scenario where you have to battle one as a nemesis over the course of a co-op campaign or some kind of sporting side game ala guild ball (RIP!) light . I have so many ideas for this, with the home bases ect. Please do more battle reports for these small/indie skirmish games. Sorely needed content to REALY showcase and learn these games. Take care, and be wary of White Gorillas....
just now getting into skirmish games and have been looking into this and malifaux. gotta say, that hangman shirt, though completely unrelated, is pulling me toward frostgrave. lol
I'm glad that when Maddie was talking about Carmilla, I wasn't the only one who thought of the web series and the novella it was based off of. Also did anybody watch the Carmilla movie that they made?
Man it looks super amateurish with you passing around the camera... Also, more of this... I haven't seen the end of this, but I think Liv is going to win.
Which Frostgrave school of magic is your favourite?
Summoner! And Elementalist is a close second!
Summoner!!!
Enchanters can give a real fun magitech vibe so that’s who I have in my main warband!

Chronomancer! Theres always time for the other classes some other... time.

You ain't nothing but a hound-fish, schurking all the time
@@sleepytime999998 they aren’t cool, they do their homework on the same day they get it.
Additional fun fact: The word the Dutch use for shark isn't even remotely related to Schurk: "Haai".
Hence "Sharky" aka Sauruman. Thanks! I've always wondered what was up with that.

PLEASE do more of these, Frostgrave is one of my absolute favorite miniatures games!!!
A step by step guide for frostgrave would be awesome to see you guys do.

Always enjoy Frostgrave content.
Glad to see some Frostgrave on this channel!
That set up is very impressive- you folks have the best toys. :)
Really charming group of people, will definitely watch other games in the campaign...hint
Really fun vid. Hope we see more. I am also requesting shark facts

That was fun! Love the quality of those let's plays.
This looks like something I may play. I know I am late to the party. I have tons of terrain and miniatures from D&D and this would work well with it.

I want more Frostgrave!
My copies of Frostgrave and Stargrave arrived yesterday and I blame all of you! Also, Liv's Wizard is my new band name
you have to use an action to reload a crossbow after you shot it.
I'm glad that when Maddie was talking about Carmilla, I wasn't the only one who thought of the web series and the novella it was based off of. Also did anybody watch the Carmilla movie that they made?
More frostgrave!
Awesome!
Hit me up, sharkboi!
In answer to your question, more please.
More Shark Facts. Please!
Always lovely watching you guys having fun, but the game seems a bit random.
Give me those sweet, sweet shark facts
Do these all come with the game?
first. Also, love you guys (platonically)
Sharkfact!
Have to admit, the "cult of night and day" Klan hoods made me a bit nervous at firt glance
Nervous? Why? Are you seriously that fragile?
🦈 boi!

Word to the wise: less is more in terrain. specially when filming. Your Battlespace was WAY to cluttered.
