@@PSF_RC-PatSmageFilms I live in Bellingham WA. It’s a small rc community here. I’m alone driving expensive toys haha. Big MTB community though. You have amazing bike skills. I love your bike content too. I wish you had more subs. You vids are really really good.
@@John-shreds I have ridden MTB there once and it was awesome! I am surprised the rc community isn’t bigger with that terrain though. Thanks! I probably should have started an rc channel earlier. I had been putting rc mixed in with bikes on my other channel and it didn’t work as well. Oh well, I’ll still just keep having fun making some videos.
I really enjoy your videos. I will make a backyard track next year, you've inspired me. And I'm going to try that app you mentioned below. Thanks again!
Thanks for checking it out, glad you like them! That is great to hear I have inspired you to build a track! Motivating people to get out and drive (or build) is a big goal of my videos. Having something to run in the backyard is awesome, even if it is small. More to come!
@@Noah-u2z depends how serious you want to take it and what other people are running. If there are mostly slashes then it would fit right in. But if there are more race trucks like teknos and good drivers it will be tough to keep up. It’s a good one to start with to see if it’s something you want to get into before spending more either way though.
It’s called Lap Tracker. It usually works pretty well but sometimes misses laps if things aren’t setup quite right. Still plenty worth the $2 for me though. Thanks for checking it out!
Something in the 5000-8000mah range seems most fitting. The higher c rating the better but at least 50c should be good enough. I am running some Hoovo 8000s and they work pretty well, but the straps are on the short and weak side to hold them as well as I’d like. If you have a local hobby shop they can give you some options they have in stock also.
@@jozy5154 I don't have much experience with Spektrum batteries, but they might be a little much unless you have their esc, radio, and charger. Or else you are kind of paying for some features you can't use. I have tried quite a few and have had some good luck with the Hoovo 8000s lately. I have some other Hoovos that aren't any good though so not sure if I got lucky. I'd like to try some Gens Ace 3s at some point though.
Picked this truck up after being out of RC for 10 years and I'm really glad I did. Nice truck at a great price.
Good choice! Agreed, it’s a good value that can handle some abuse.
Such a good video. Honestly one of the best rc tubers! By chance what state do you live in?
Hey thanks I really appreciate that! I am in Wisconsin, you?

Race worthy rig for a beginner joining my local sct race league?

sweet track you lucky bastard
Thanks and I agree haha. I hope to always have a track!
that is a perfect backyard track
Dude you are such an awesome Rc driver 💯
Thanks! I practice a lot but I swear sometimes I’m half as good when filming haha. Felt pretty good in this one though.

What phone app are you using? I like the speed you carry at the end of the straight. 🔥

Do you know where to find the dust cover at , I haven’t been able to find on for this truck
Looks like they only sell it with the chassis unfortunately, part number ASC25852 for $24
Thank you very much

Does this truck have brakes? Can you use the brake without slamming it in reverse? Sorry probably dumb question
Yeah it does. There is a delay before reverse kicks in so you can use the brakes first.
What’s a good 3s battery for this? I’m new to rc cars, not sure what one to buy n fit? Thanks

The Gens ace bashing 5200 mah in mine is doing well.

do you know if these trucks are made in China or Taiwan... Japan?
Most likely Taiwan since that is what my other team associated box says.
