I know how it feels to lose your wedding ring and to have it returned, I lost it after my husband passed away and it was returned by a stranger, brought tears to my eyes.
I took a visit to St Augustine Florida and met a Newlywed couple who had just lost a 5 carat engagement ring in the ocean on the beach. A local man with a metal detector spent 2 hours trying to find it and just as they were all about to give up he located it. It made the bride very relieved and happy!
Sometimes it isn’t clear when the right time is for something like that. I’ve lost weight, and my ring is too big. Since it is a ring of sentimental value, but not like a wedding ring, I have the luxury of just taking it off until I get closer to my goal, and having it resized then. It wouldn’t be good, for, the ring to have it resized many times along the way. This woman didn’t have that option, due to the meaning and symbolism of the ring. People also have weight that fluctuates year-to-year enough to make a ring tight at one point and loose at another. In other words, it isn’t always a simple problem.
LOVELY SAGA, but please EVERYONE and ANYONE....IT'S JUST STUFF....your husband, your kids, your life so far out weighs STUFF!!! PEOPLE today believe in their belongings more than LIFE!!! YOU WON on this, but QUESTION....if it meant so much to you to begin with...WHY WEAR YOUR RING in the first place?

Great story❤
Glad to hear she'll have rings resized ASAP. That was my first thought when she got them back. "Blessed not lucky."

Great story and hero!!
Beautiful ring, beautiful story
Need to size it smaller, won't be that lucky next time. Surprised you hadn't done it yet??

Wonderful.
VERY LUCKY that the water was only about 10ft deep. Props to that dude who got it back for her.
So happy he found your ring! Definitely get it resized & not wear your ring around water. You might not be so lucky next time!
