Honestly this just makes a supercar more comfortable and practical - tires with larger sidewalls, smoother suspension, more ground clearance so you don't scrape, and more durable body panels. I see no downside.
Agreed. I think if I had the money for this kind of thing, I'd rather this than the Urus. I'm not buying it for practicality, I'm buying it for fun, but a bit more comfort would be welcome.
Alas, I will never actually be in the market...
You see no downside = you don't understand physics and engineering. Typical SUV-loving pothole-3rd-world-road-driving American... 😉
What advantages do larger sidewalls, smoother suspension, more ground clearance and more durable body panels give to cars that sit in a garage for their whole lives?
But if you want to actually go to a racetrack then the regular Huracan is better
@@pistonburner6448uh I mean, it's a supercar - I see those driven ALOT on the street. Even Aventadors get driven alot - it's not a Sian or somethibg like that. Especially cars like the huracan are considered "cheap" in the supercar world. Which is why most people buy them. They are the 'affordable' cars that are not limited production runs, just to be bought for value. The Gallardo is still around 50% under it's initial value - the Huracan follows that trend, like it's brother the R8.
I watch so many Doug videos, I expected him to say “GOOD NEWS, this Huracan Sterrato is for sale on CAAARS and BIDS!” 😂
I expected same for r34
It would be "BIG NEWS", not "Good News". BTW, you are the man.

The legend himself

Driving a supercar offroad is something you do in video games, the fact that Lambo actually made it possible IRL is quite cool. Also we want a review of that midnight blue R34.
He did a Bayside blue R34 like 5 years ago. And there is no "midnight blue", it's either Bayside blue or midnight purple 1, 2 or 3.
@@downlowsyndrome3163 I know he did review R34 before. But this one seemed clean and stock.
i think donut's done a review if that same exact car ruclips.net/video/AZce2B8DMDQ/видео.html
@@downlowsyndrome3163 This R34 looks like the GT-R V Spec II Nur, with the wing and front splitter, it was also in Midnight Purple like the one he's behind.
Cool? It’s a cash grab. Regular Heavy duty trucks constantly need wrenching can you imagine with this thing? U can totally wreck it in one “trail”
My favorite part of the roof rails is how if you actually did put something on them it would block the only air intake to the engine. I love every bit of insanity of this car
if you put stuff on top you probably aren't driving fast enough to worry about having maximal engine airflow tbf
No worries the air intake is pure cosmetical.
It’s only functional in the GT3 cars.
It does nothing but “look cool” on the street cars.
@@rolux4853 did you even watch the video😂 he literally says it’s the only intake for the car
This is extremely cool, but I wonder why they didn't focus on making the Urus more of an off-road vehicle
I think this lambo looks more badass than the urus tbh
Yeah, I don't know what the use case is... It still looks way too low for a rally car. Maybe sand out in Saudi Arabia or something....
A special rally/Dakar type edition Urus would be off the hook!
yeah and drop the aventador v12 or huracan v10 in it.they'd sell out immediately
Urus is just a cash grab because the suv market is so hot.
I feel like more than an offroad car, this car would be a winter MONSTER. Throw on some winter tires and just slide through a snowy adventure.

This was one of your best review videos. The amount of pure joy that this car brought to you truly showed. To be given the opportunity to drive this car had to one of the best things never. What an absolutely amazing vehicle. This is the rich man’s Mad Max ride!
The Huracan Sterrato is one of the cars that ever appeared in Mad Max and Cyberpunk 2077.
I'm actually impressed that Doug was able to say "STERRATO" with the same nerd dad zest and zeal every. single. time.
The lucid air sapphire edition video was really something in that regard lmao
Doug the kind of guy to have a steering wheel in his bath tub.
You don't?
@Chris_Pasley
I sleep in a race car bed do you?
Yo 🤣
My favorite "Doug the kind of guy" comment yet
*makes vroom vroom noises 😅
This car is raised just enough so you can go straight over a speed bump instead of diagonally, but I’m pretty sure that’s the extent of its off road capability!
That'll clear up any confusion people might have had about this being a rock crawler
@@onearmedbandit_nz if you looked at that car and thought "rock crawler" then you probably don't have the IQ to operate heavy machinery
@@dankgankster4100 my comment was tongue-in-cheek
@@onearmedbandit_nz I didn’t mean you specifically. Just anyone out there that might have thought that
@@dankgankster4100 Gotcha, all good. Yup it's pretty obvious this is no off-roader in the traditional sense.
As a motorcycle rider, i love that indicator switch. Feels like home. Great video Doug!
The whole idea is amazing, even if you don't want to really push it offroad. A supercar that looks striking AND that is fun to use in all terrains and conditions. I immediately think of a few beaches near my area where the road ends and then there's a few kilometers up to the beach. Awesome.
This car is as OP as 2009 Zonda R.
Fun fact: Sterrato is Italian for “dirt road”
lamborghini hurricane dirt road
I'm surprised Doug didn't mention this!
Tuscany has very famous sterrato, known as the strade bianche, the white roads. So, it's even fitting Lamborghini made this.
which is not off road
Yes greetings from Italy!
The "kid joy" analogy is so perfect to describe this. Hats off to Lambo for going along with this crazy idea.
Love this! Seems like it the spiritual successor to the glorious Lancia rally cars of the 70s and early 80s like the Stratos and 037.
@@neonnoodle1169 check out the kimera 037 👀
Umm, I’m pretty sure they just saw that new 911
@@IanH-yf1go I meant just actually doing an offroad Lambo spec, not the idea itself. That is some Forza shit IRL and I commend them for not being stuck up like some other Italian manufacturer of red sports cars. I feel like if someone pitched that idea in a Ferrari business meeting they'd get fired lol.
@@samlepro3 this IS some forza shit irl ahahaha, I've spent many hours from Horizon 3 all the way to 5 perfecting the art of 'offroading in the wackiest cars possible' and it's always fun
I remember seeing the renders of these things and i didn’t think too highly cause i thought no one was gonna like an off road huracan, but now that i look at it, it actually looks like something aggressive and something you could possibly even mad max it if you had the balls to do so. One thing i never noticed until Doug pointed it out was the side vents being closed off and moved to the top. I never paid any attention to that kind of detail and it’s not only smart but also takes the design to a different level and i genuinely dig it. Im sure it won’t be long before someone does a crazy conversion to make it like a literal truck *cough*!maybe stradman?
I remember recently they unveiled the Audi R8 version too. These are dope asf! The Audi one was lifted a lot more. A LOT! It was honestly kinda wild was a literal tiny monster truck car hybrid. Honestly if companies started listening to their consumers some cool ass cars would come to life resulting in large advances in car technology tbh.
@@SAVOTYB Didn’t even hear about that one ngl, ill have to look into it
My thought the entire video. This car was created for the coming American apocalypse.
Wider track, raised ride height and off road tires. This thing is ready to battle Michigan roads!
Doug really had fun with this one. What an awesome car
This is the first time I'm actually seeing Doug so excited about reviewing and driving a car. Must've been really fun and he seemed to really love it. If it has a top Doug score, then you can't go wrong with this!
wasnt he also as excited when reviewing the Miura
Bullshit.
@@mgz282 idk. Haven't seen it
Should see him review the Countach. Pity the person who had to clean that interior.
oh good ill go right down and buy one
I'd like to see what it looks like with body matched fender flares. The black doesn't look horrible, in fact it helps with the modified, off-road look. Just curious how much cleaner it would look with painted fenders.
Those fender flares put me in the mind of what Liberty Walk does with its modifications.
This is the coolest car in a while. And it's not just quirky or nifty, it looks like an extraordinarily exhilarating experience. And your reaction confirms that it is exactly as it appears.
This car imo is as cool as McLaren F1 GTR, Pagani Huayra, and Pagani Zonda R.
It is absolutely pointless
@@Nclux What? Why? This is literally the only Lamborghini I would buy, not that I can haha
The coolest thing about this car is the way that Italian automakers are always ready with the next flashy thing an idiotic prince can waste his oil money on while the window closes for economic development within his own nation
It's unfortunate that this is probably going to become a collector item. I'd bet most will seldom see the dirt if ever. Sometimes it looks like Doug can hardly believe that this is what he does for a living. Awesome care though
I can see it been used in the middle east. Lots of crazy rich people and dunes 😁
@MuitoDaora Actually...You're right!!
Stradman’s will definitely see the dirt
Imagine taking it over Ouninpohja in Finland...
Its approach and departure angle is terrible.
If I hit that billion dollar lottery the other day, I would probably daily drive something like this lol. It’s like the super car that you can actually use everywhere for the most part that you would use in the other normal car.
6:34 He said Roof so aggressive it sounded like a bark 😂 I have loved watching his videos for years. I’m in car sales and I do a lot of video walk arounds but your videos have definitely influenced some of my work
Finally! A lamborghini that you can drive on the Brazilian roads, those look more like swiss cheese than asphalt, with potholes the size of moon craters.
Hope to see a review on the new 911 Dakar, since both the Sterrato and Dakar were released pretty close together as off road supercars.
I never can smile or have a good day until I have watched one of Doug's videos. So much passion!!! :)
This is a hypercar I would be able to drive in Mexico. I wouldn’t have to worry about potholes so much, speed bumps, uneven pavement, rock streets, etc. I love it, it’s a hypercar that you could daily
I LOVE the four degree approach angle! That should allow you to get over snakes and ant hills and such without scratching the bottom of your Sterrato.
Don't forget the marvel of engineering that is the roof rack with the extreme carrying capacity of 32kg for all your off roading needs.
No jokes though how the fuck does it pass crash tests if it can't handle any weight....
And if you put things on the roof rack you will be blocking the air intake lol
@@derek5698 ohh shitt didn't even think of that, I really don't get why with that price point why not get an actual trophy truck or something like the rally fighter Doug featured before. At least with the 911 Dakar there is some legacy to make it more appealing.
Edit: spelling
@@h0lycrap Probably the side pillars are the main support structures for rollovers? So the roof could crumple but the body itself won't collapse.
I think you're missing the point. It isn't for ultra serious off road. More for smoother dirt trails like rally stages and stuff. Plus I'd assume the underfloor is protected so the scratches shouldn't matter.
I wonder if this car will sell in such a way that Lamborghini would consider more off-road supercars because of the suspension travel (making it so much comfortable that people would love it more). And, better yet, this one has a V10 that still sings music to your ears. It seems almost like the perfect car.
And not just some SUV with 99% VAG parts, but make it an LM003
@mipmipmipmipmip we all know you love VAG you always come back to it
why dont all cars have long travel suspension?
Yeah I actually think I'd prefer to own this over a regular Huracan as it's still a supercar but softer and don't have to worry about speed bumps or crappy roads. I'd probably swap the hood for the standard one though - not a fan of those extra lights.
@@hrthrhs those lights are actually optional. So if you don't like em, you can still get a sterrato from factory without them. It's literally the perfect supercar really. Other supercars have to be driven on smooth tarred roads else they likely go bad. This breaks that limit and makes it a bit more interesting
I agree! This was really fun and interesting...Reminded me of rallying my 1973 Dodge Charger through the Ocala National Forest fire roads back when I was 17...I was up over 100 mph a few times playing Dukes of Hazard.
He says that you can just stick your finger in the hole to start this car instead of the ¨laborious¨ process of lifting the red protector. I just love his sarcasm when describing what he considers ridiculous functions. He does that on all his videos.
Best Lambo ever made - Doug‘s excitement is really funny 😂
I love it, we all built this in the Forza Horizon games 😊I looked Sterreto up, googling Italian to English and it means "dirt road". I love the changes that were made. The scenery even looks like some of the paths and scrubland from FH3❤
Very true lol, loved my offroad Ferrari in FH4 :D
Do you know if the Sterrato will be available in FH5?
@@Incrazyboyy Me too, my favourite was my dune buggy in 4. The chatter and speculation on Reddit and the videos here seem to be people building their own and hope that it comes for the "Rally" DLC
The face of Satisfaction of Doug is a big selling point 😆...for whoever has that kind of money 💰 🤑!! COOL RIDE 😎
I'm so glad they actually made the Sterrato concept an actual production model. Now here's hoping the other brands make their own rally editions.
Porsche has the 911 Dakar coming!
Please please PLEASSEE make more of these. The cool factor, the fun, the comfort, and the sound! This is what the people want, not a fruitless race to lowest 0-60 and highest top speed. I was 100% sure my first super car would be a 720S... until I saw this!! I just hope they are available on the used market.
Wtf would anyone wanna buy this?! Are you mental?!
I'm sure they'll be available but with such limited production and such an unusual setup I'm willing to bet the used market will probably be higher than the new price unless its a particularly abused example.
only will go up in price
Oh 100000% this will appreciate in value. Just think about how crazy people get over the LM002, and this is both cooler and seems more usable. Absolutely the coolest car on sale today.
That every teaser, during C&B section, of every car to be reviewed in upcoming videos is really nice!

Incredible engineering. Doug looks like a kid in a candy store with this (in the best way possible)

I’d probably enjoy driving this around the city more than the super-car version, frankly. Offroad smhoffroad, it just seems more practical for using as an actual car.
I love the fact that as an off-roader, it has matte paint.
Most people will get it ppf’d anyway
Quick touch up with bed liner paint will do
I never understood the appeal of matte paint. It takes an expensive car and makes it look like an old spraypainted Civic bought off Craigslist for $500 and a bag of weed.
@@bwofficial1776 the Appeal is it looks good on certain cars.
@@LamoidZombieDog Thats subjective though, further evidenced by the fact that the other guy in this thread doesn't like it lol. Im inclined to agree with him too. Satin looks good tho.

so... why not just get a M5 CS or a GTS63 4-door or even AMG GT, Audi R8, Supra, 812 Superfast...?
They are even more practical, look less tacky, and cheaper (except a few)
@Grounded because it's a fucking lambo lol. Plus you can take it to places where you wouldn't take any of the cars you listed outside the Mercs.
@@TheDarkPacific lol so you know you are just badge-buying... then I think it's quite dum that you eliminate all others for that.

This is an insane rendition of the stock hurrican!! And that blue is beautiful along with the black accents! Thank you Doug!!:)
As someone from Eastern Europe I think this is the only way you could comfortably drive a supercar here. There are places with more holes than roads here.

This looks like a car I would make in Forza 😂
Bonkers car and video, and Doug is one of few that would manage to sell sand in Sahara, just by his entusiasm!
It looks so good with 19" wheels and beefy tires. I still don't get the huge wheels craze. In most car it looks dumb and disproportional, still don't fill the arches well not to mention compromise in comfort.
What a great video. Thnksss
I like that (at least by the looks of it) the skid plate and fender flares are plastic and not carbon fiber. Makes it seem like it was actually made to be driven in dirt
I actually think it really cheapens it. Understand using a different, more durable material, but seems like it could be made to look classier - although Lambo is not really in the business of classy. 😂
Doug needs to review the Ariel Nomad too. It's "mental" , as doug would say
man that dash cam footage was so freaking satisfying😩😩
I think I am in love. This is as perfect as it gets.

I love how this supercar is lifted enough to take bumps, inclines, and declines a lot better than other sports cars and supercars.
Very nice! But, can it run over a Gypsy without damage?
No, but it can be parked in a climate control garage without scratches on ramps.

Pure insanity
Looking incredible ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Looks cool in that blue 😮
Since the air intake is now on the roof, if you store stuff up there using the rails (up to 70 lbs) won't you block the air scoop while driving?
As long as you don't directly put something that is blocking the intake, then it should be fine. Just leave some space between the intake and the cargo.
@@shanelulberryso basically nothig but a shovel and small gas tanks.
@@groundedgaming I have never seen a Sterrato in person. So, from what I can guess, it probably just depends on how you rig it.
Even if it is blocked air will still get through some spots and through other intakes on the car. Besides this is a super car it’s not best suited for carrying luggage it just can because it’s a lambo and that brand makes sure their cars can do anything
This is pretty bad to watch if you just woke up. Thought i was still in a dream state. This looks absolutely insane, It'd be so cool to see one used at the WRC.
Doug that would be ideal for the Midwest Winters
I know Doug calls almost every supercar he drives the craziest ever but this one is certainly in the running - it looks like a regular Lamborghini Huracan that has been modified for use by post apocalyptic desert nomads like those in a Mad Max movie
