Thank you for sharing! I’m 43.5 times around the sun, and found it surprising that I was told I needed one… low resting heart rate, in the 40s, sometimes dipping into the 30s. So, yeah, I get mine in a couple of days from this writing. I appreciate a positive outlook on life, and I shall take your advice! ❤ from New York
I am 58 years old, and this past Wednesday I collapsed at home. I was scared and asked my wife to take me to the hospital. I have a 3rd degree Atrio ventricular block. I decided to get ICD installed. I like your video it made me feel at ease and it is the best thing to do. I am slated for operation at 1pm 7/29/2922.
yeah apparently they told me after the surgery I had a 3rd degree heart block as well. Whatever that means. I just know i felt like crap from the Afib being exhausted from lack of oxygen and out of breath could not do anything. Now its been two yrs in September and honestly it is like nothing ever happened. I am back to my old self. Except I am 60# lighter and can walk up stairs again. Before this I could not.
September 8 2022 went in for a catheter ablation. While in the operation I went into Sudden Cardiac arrest. I got my permanent pacemaker inplanted the next day. I have an abbot dual lead and my battery is good for another 8 yrs until it needs to be replaced. I had been dealing with covid and Afib for about 8 months prior. I am glad that my ablation was successful, despite my cardiac arrest. then getting a pacemaker. I have fully recovered and I do very well now. Grateful for my medical team here in Las Vegas at Nevada Heart and Vascular. They saved my life.
Hopefully my implant will go as smoothly October 7 2021. Dual chamber, due to lymes disease in 2012, 3rd degree AV block. I am independent, do a lot of yard work, handyman work. You have given hope. Thanks.😊
I have slow heartbeat and when my watch says pulse is 60, I know I’m pacing and I freaks with my head. Don’t know why, just still not used to knowing something is beating my heart for me.
@@ThoMas-cv7lj For me... NO. When I'm active, my heart acts normal. They had an "auto-load" feature turned on, which increases your HR with activity. I didn't like it. Had them turn it off.

I'm so lucky I have an amazing cardiologist. From a guy who hates doctors, the team this guy has is overwhelmingly great.

M y heart rate is 47!!
My resting HR is in the 40s, get one in two days. Did it help with your energy levels?

You talk a lot about your “feelings” with a pacemaker, but what limitations have you run up against? Do you tire more easily? Get winded?
Live long and prosper.
