i have an idea for the next one. arena is off road focused, like sandy shores to the wind farm and quarry (due to less places to hide) our boi in a trophy truck. 1st level patriots, 2nd level sandkings, 3rd level marshals. the idea is that they get faster, able to climb over higher obstacles, and take bumps with more stability, but trade off getting bigger as they go, which also helps make them easier to find when you start running out of people to hunt
Eh, the arena seems to be fine, all those dead end alleyways keep things plenty interesting. I just think the time limit needs to be a good bit longer, I'd be fine watching like an hour or so of this.
This map is perfect for this. The part of the city youve walled off. I saw places in this video ive never seen, and the small wall placements like at the car wash and parking garages are perfect. You should use this map a lot more.
The huge looming walls makes it feel like ones of those doznes of battle royale games where the zone is shringking pushing everyone closer in... that would actually be a really cool mechanic for HTS if it could be done here.
would need to set up a fivem server for that. tbh that would be a lot better if they just had a fivem server for all the stuff they do. click a button and everyone's maps go off so no more relying on trust. do pings on the map to give a hint where people are. walls slowly close in. guns can't be used in cars, only on foot, etc. there's infinite stuff you can do instead of trying to make it work within vanilla gta.
@@Subreon Yeah, in a perfect world... the only issue is that the majority of the filming crew only have Xbx so FiveM isn't really an option for them. Other wise they could probably get even crazier with game modes
Have you ever thought about doing a Survive the Hunt but let someone else be the runner and you be a part of the hunters? I could see that being fun to do every so often

When it came down to just Blakey being in the first car alone, I was cheering for team orange to outwit team orange. When he saw Blakey with only a half-minute to go I was screaming for Blakey to go hard and lose Alex.
Can't wait to see how the large arena maps keep evolving. Next one should focus on the beach, canals, and movie district; though the east border would be a bit difficult since the exit of the canals by the personal docks and helipad has a massive gap, I'd border it off at the southern tip of the triangle of intersections right next to the helipads and have whatever that north-south road is be the border, at least until the area where you have all the highway merging at the T junction. Rest of the borders would be easy, far west road that also borders the golf course on the south, then the rest of the boarders would be water. Sandy Shores and it's immediate area could be interesting as well. As could the hills and northern LS. Outside of these three, options get limited unless there's a lot of props thrown into the mix, which could also be interesting if designed well, have a speed labyrinth, or find a way to add verticality into the mix.

@@monkeydoespride in the video you can see alex skips right past the ramp onto the highway and the left, which is almost certainly where Blakey must've went in the seconds he wasn't onscreen, blakey even confirms himself that he just drove on the ramp and went on the highway

Totally awesome video! Please increase the timer on this to 50 mins, it would have made the video more intense till the end, will be wonderful to see more of these type of hunt the survivors , loved the video!!
Ah, the Thrax. My favorite GTA5 car. I won it when it first came out in the casino update and it's just great, all around. 50-50 awd, heavy so you can't be pushed around and faster than bad news...
Love the idea of the graduated difficulty of cars as they are caught. Miss the damage on the hunter vehicle, but it worked out on this one since no one knew the map.
I saw someone say that they'd like to see some kind of points or leaderboard across these challenges, so I made up a points system for HTS. 1 point for one capture per player 3 points for two captures 6 points for eliminating a player So Alex would've got 35 points this episode. That's 20 captures at 0.8 captures per min or 1.4 points per min. I like to come up with things like this and it's interesting to quantify how hard a challenge was in this way. I haven't compared it to the previous GTA HTS yet so we'll see. EDIT: I just did the previous GTA HTS and Alex got 44 points in 25 mins (1.76pts/min), however there were 15 runners rather than 10 but also the map was larger. So there are some variables that are hard to quantify in determining the difficulty but I still thinks its interesting.
I like the new series. I think you'll need a lot of new maps (Ewan) to keep the series fresh. But it's fun to watch and looks like a lot of fun for the Fail Race team.
I love this version of HTS. I have a suggestion for an extreme variant or an alternative gameplay. Might be combined with longer time and multiple rules. What if there was a "Mad-Max Joker" or a "Christine-role"? Lets say a weaponized car (Machine guns and/or sawblades, no rockets) which is constantly hunting Alex at the same time? If Alex explodes, the Joker wins. Might need some testing, but I think it would be interesting and cool!
At the end it looked like Blakey went down the ramp to the right. Possibly the reason this arena feels bigger is all the alleyways. More paths, more corners, more obstructions to vision.
He did. He goes down the ramp and when he arrives to search for him ,you can see that he's turning to the right. But he's basically hidden by the shadows of the game.
This arena was awesome! I’d watch this same game again honestly maybe just with different cars, I wouldn’t even need a new arena to be interested though tbh
You guys should compete in traffic skeet shooting. You stick an angled storage container in the highway acting as a ramp. You then have to shoot cars out of the air with a tank. Get as many as you can in say 5 minutes.
I have a theory.. What if everyone in these videos.. Is a Pokémon? The way he says catching "a" someone, or "an" someone makes me think there's multiple versions of them! And Pokémon sounds more plausible than clones 😁

Excellent show boys, using the Strawberry area for this game was a great choice with all the little alleys and such however reducing the size of it, or at least eliminate the freeways and storm drains next time I feel would be an improvement.
Hey, Alex. This series was fun to watch, but there's one flaw on this video compare to the previous part 1 video. The differences is the visibility of player name. I'll suggest that by fading away the player name, it'll make this series more challenging just like survive the hunt series. Hope that the suggestion will give you a heads up. :)

I know my way around Los Santos quite well. However the simple fact of that large wall existing is enough to completely remove my ability to know where you are. How can something so simple be so disorienting?
Name plates off in StH makes sense. If they had name plates on, both Alex and the hunters would be able to more easily find each other if the name plates pop up within a certain range, allowing him to be found amongst AI cars more easily, and both spotting each other from a range where visual confirmation may be difficult (or impossible without closer inspection for a hunter if they don't know what Alex is driving). Since there is no AI traffic in Hunt the Survivors, it doesn't make a difference if it's on or off. If Alex suspects he sees a player car, he knows it's a player car and chases based on it being a car. There's no AI cars to hide among for this game style.
You could configure an Elgato StreamDeck XL to genereate a live leaderboard. Just have buttons/icons with everyone's names on it which increments a number in a text file which is read by OBS.
This area feels larger, because you only stuck to a small portion of the map last time, and rarely left it to the other parts of the area. That's why, last time, you kept running into the same people every time
You might have to modify some rules, Maybe use the deliver mission mechanic with a selection of cars set up for the Survivors to use that they have to deliver but the hunter has missiles maybe, that they can use to destroy the car after a tag. it'd be hard to police the rules though to keep survivors from picking up weapons unless maybe the hunter vehicle is one with it's own built in weapons.
blakey turned left just before the motorway. I had to slow it down to .25 speed to see where he went so when he hit that corner before you did, he shot up the ramp and was gone

The giant walls surrounding a portion of the city remind me of the TV show COLONY, which was also set in Los Angeles.

Some developer at Rockstar probably spent years putting in little back routes like that, and most players will probably drive straight past.
