- It's the 50th running of Survive the hunt, and we have a special edition to mark the occasion. The basic premise is the same as ever though, i have to survive while a team hunters do their best to track me down.

Usually one person gets run over during the start, it was fairly clean this time
This was the second take I presume, I think one of the filming crew pulled out an AK and shot up Alex in the first take.
I considered getting run over, but I still had a few more days there xD

Well...., there was a somewhat disappointing lack of explosions, but I suppose that's understandable. ...I guess.
This has been one of the most dynamic STHs yet, running and hiding on foot and in a personal vehicle. And the part where he swims to the airport.
Probably the best intro ever. They acted the same way they do in the game minus the property damage! It was awesome

When you said "I'm going to try something here" I seriously did not expect you to just shoot Longbow. With the way you normally play STH that was completely out of left field. This was a fantastic Survive The Hunt. Here's to another 50!

Colour-coding the cars in bright colours really helped us follow the action and the chase. It also made it less important to have the map for Discussing (since it would be obvious when there's a "near miss"). Maybe keep that feature in future?
Yeah, on my channel we've had the hunters in brightly coloured vehicles for years - it makes it easier for them to identify each other (so less friendly fire!), easier for me to identify them and easier for the viewer to see what's going on too. It also means I can tell who's who at a glance as well. And since the car colours match the player colours on the map, it all ties together nicely.
nah, they'll just have to spend time painting cars. I don't see how it helps follow the action and the chase either
they wouldn't be able to blend in at all either, so I think it would just result in the game becoming less interesting.
@@HazewinDog Oh, we've automated that so as soon as a hunter gets in a car, it magically changes to their colour.
I'd say from experience, it does make them stand out and easier to spot, both before and during a chase. Granted, during a chase, they're pretty obvious anyway because they're moving fast, but if one hunter is green and another is orange, it's much easier to tell who's who!

I absolutely loved the beginning, what a way to start the 50th Survive the Hunt 😄 This series has been absolutely legendary and it just keeps getting better with all the different variations of it that you have come up with Alex.
No matter how trying the month may be, we can all be guaranteed that it'll start with great entertainment and Alex's wonderful welcome thanks to STH.

I remember watching sth when the episodes were only in single digits and I was only 11/12, it’s amazing to see how far the series and channel has come in that time
I think playing in FiveM with different traffic could change the novelty of the game entirely. Rediscovering AI traffic spawning patterns would be an interesting challenge for the hunters and Alex.

I think it would be awesome if in one of the episodes he switched it up and focused on taking them out instead. Rambo's last stand style

Curious how well it would have worked if you pretended to be one of the hunters. Since there were 2 teams this time I think it would have been doable if you just followed 1 teams car in a car painted as the other teams color. Like follow the pink hunters with an orange car or orange hunters with pink car.
I've tried pretending to be a hunter in the past - it's surprisingly difficult, because either you drive like a loon and are really obvious, but hope they'll think you're a hunter, or you drive a bit more sensibly and stand out because hunters don't drive like that! Also, as the prey, driving fast feels wrong...
The two teams are technically competing with each other though. you could happen upon someone from the other team who decided that getting rid of the competition is a good idea...
On the other hand, if the hunted was feeling aggresive, they could shoot at someone from the one team, while pretending to be from the other team, and kickstart a war between the two teams with this false flag operation and all. Of course, it'd require Alex to not actually kill the hunter (so that there's no global message that *he* was the one to shoot), while still convincingly looking like he tried to kill them but just failed.
Probably nearly impossible to pull off, but would be glorious.
@@Kubboz You're right, having two teams does make it a bit more interesting, and it means if you lurk near one team, disguised as someone from the other, it's a lot harder to catch you. I do like your idea of trying to start a gang war, that's brilliant 😀

That was a super awesome survive the hunt! I love it when new tactics and strategies get employed by both Alex and the Hunters
This was mega-fun! I don't know what to say more. I have taken a break from watching STHs (but have fully caught up by now -- obviously!), and while returning to these incredibly fun productions, I have stumbled across some other channels trying to play that same or very similar formula. And, yeah, they do their best, but... there's no comparison. Neither are the chasers there a decent challenge to the runner like here, nor is the stealth game played with a comparable accuracy (and thrill!), nor, most importantly, can the star runners boast anything that could live up to the great personality and narrative that Alex has for us there.
So, again, a huge thank you to you, Alex, and to the guys! You're awesome!

The 100th survive the hunt absolutely has to be a real life survive the hunt! Car jacking, guns, explosions, blimps and all!
Somehow Alex managed to salvage a bungled home invasion, escape in a sloth of an SUV and survive. Burned up an entire month's luck all in one go! 😁

bro the radius is going down as the #1 GTA getaway car, thing is shit at straights but has the breaks of an angel, does turns like budder, can fit through any gap, and is tougher than nails to knock off the road, wonderfully done

One of your best StH yet. Honestly the on-foot, sneaky-sneaky, shooty-shooty bits make it so much more exciting when they’re interspersed between the car sneaking and chasing. You handled that supremely well! Some fantastic escape routes were shown too!!

Not sure if you’ve tried this, but I’ve got an idea:
1. Start as the only HUNTER
2. Everybody else is in their own party, and start 60 seconds before you
3. Every time you kill someone’s, they join you as a hunter!
- They join your party so you can talk tactics etc
- They have to change to a pink car or spray their car pink
4. Last person standing is the winner!
(Only hunters can use weapons)
I would really like to see more episodes of this every month I have already rewatched just about every episode

Yo, I have been here since STH: 7, so not the very beginning, but within the first 10... and I remember when you would lose quite often, or like when the bincident happened, and it was glorious, but you lost.... and now here we are at STH 50.... and with a bunch more people, and getting pinned down still.... you still find a way to survive for a day cycle! That’s awesome.
I love how you have made the game harder with time as you have gotten better, such as the super car rule now. Or having to blow up Pri’s throughout the time. And it’s been so enjoyable to watch!! Here’s to another 50 STH’s and I can’t wait for #100!!!

Always excited for STH
To make your personal vehicle spawn where you want it to, face directly away from the road, and aim the camera away from the road, until it spawns. Your PV spawns out of camera shot, and out of LOS of the player's facing. Works every time.
Not every time, but more often than not.

If you're in an active chase at the end, then the 24hr time limit doesn't matter.. you must escape successfully by some measure to be considered "free" at the end.
