Never heard any bands there playing songs beautifully like you, your sound engineer is so crispy, crystal instrument positioning, balanced dynamic, things synchronize superbly with vocalists. Con's bass is lively and punchy hit. You guys are great. If I bring my kid to school there again, I will find a opportunity to watch you .
It’s so easy to forget how great a singer Darren is when he sings with someone this fantastic, but his vocal performance stands on its own merits here.

General comment : I have played in Italy and the US for about 40 years, most jazz and latin, basses and percussions.....but occasionally in pop cover bands, your band is the BEST COVER BAND I ever listened to, period. This and most tunes you played are just great, sound, performance, arrangements, musicians.... CONGRATS !!!

@DJ Hayes They have to be getting leads and pointers from older folks and associates or their management. All these tunes go way, way back and these players would have been not yet born or just kids. Whoever is the brain trust for material selection obviously deserves a lot of credit. Yes, they had to learn and mimic the original artist, but part of the beauty relates to the high quality of the material.
I've read that Con and Darren have said they pick songs that take them back to a time before mortgages and kids. They always bring back memories for me

HSCC always has the best. The lead guitar here is always spectacular in all of his sessions with this great band. Heck, they are all always top notch. And the way they record, mix, and master is amazing, using the space and equipment they way they do.

This is one of our favoutite HSCC performances. We still hold out hope of hearing Darren Mullan and Mel McCaig sing this togehter again, all being well we will travel from Scotland to visit our son and his girfriend in Australia, maybe next year. Seeing HSCC live somewhere in the Australia is high on our list wish list of things to do.
