It took over 35 years for a cover of this song to be done that does justice to Starship. Not just the vocals by Kat & Jordan but the WHOLE band is spot on. Bravo, HSCC on a job flawlessly done and continued success in the future
As a Musician / producer for over 40 years I have never seen musicians and vocalists reproduce cover material like this. I think every writer and producer across the globe should just hand over all of their material to Hindley Street and sit back and listen to how it's done. You guys are the best. Is nobody going to mention Bradley on the drums and vocals? He held this song together with remarkable skill. Without a killer drummer you have nothing. Because he was superb everybody else shone brightly.

Wow! You just sent this 61 y/o man back in time to the beginning of my adulthood 😊! I was so fortunate to have graduated in 1980 and start living my adult life to it's fullest to this music 😊. No generation of music has yet to top the 80's.
Kat's voice just keeps getting stronger and greater range as she matures. Do not understand why she is not breaking out into an international star? No auto tune there, just pure vocals.

I love it that the band plays these wonderful songs from the days when music was naturally recorded without so much processing other than effects, EQ’s, gates and compression compared to today. The best part is watching the band having a great time recording these songs. Love it.
This band is so musically talented. Its incredible difficult to put more than one strong vocals as lead, but these chaps knows exactly what types of vocals compliment each other.Beautiful choice of two vocals! Another spot on performance!
Werner Holt. I would agree HOWEVER covering songs is really nothing. The music is already written. This like tons of other groups have to do nothing but mimic it. That IS NOT really music talent. Designing your own SHOWS YOUR TRUE INNOVATIVE TALENT.
@@stephenshortt427 Hi Stephen, I wont say just singing covers is nothing....its difficult to do covers exstremely well.I agree that writing songs is incredibly difficult but then you have people who can write but cant sing.When you look at shows like AGT most sing covers...thats where you initially pick up talent.You cant say thats nothing.I give them a lot of credit Im a professional musician as well and studied music.We had a few original songs on radio nothing major at all, but in my opinion they fabulous.They just great to listen to.

Performance talent is another thing completely but just as valid. Some musicians may possess both to varying degrees but its not always the case. There were great classical composers who WERE outstanding virtuoso performers in their own right but not all were. Were many great popular music singers of the 20th century major songwriters in their own right ? Largely no. The singer-songwriter is largely a phenomena that spawned from the 60's onward. Taking your argument to the n'th degree. Great music of the past should be forgotten because the original performers are no longer around and those who merely seek to play it/recreate it are 'worthless'. Indeed many composers and even original artists have actually said that other performers have often "made more" of their song/composition than they themselves. Original creative talent is to be admired and respected but equally so should that of the performer/recreative artist be seen as just as valid
Absolutely outstanding rendition of this song. That's a LOT of vocal bandwidth for one band to have. She's outstanding and while most male vocalists have serious issues covering anything Mickey Thomas did, this guy absolutely nails it with a lot of power. Very impressive.
Just figure that I am a 52 year old man from India whose age might be more than the combined age of the singing duo of hscc. I am 73 and grew up with rock eg Bill Haley and Buddy Holly etc. grew up through the Beatles and Rolling Stones, Woodstock et al. Still love pop/rock. Now to the point - I clicked on to HSCC to see what this music could possibly be, as I am Adelaide born. I clicked on "More than a Feeling" and Wow, I have not stopped watching your music now for 3 days! I don't think I have enjoyed a band more than you guys EVER! I am so proud that Adelaide has this enormous talent! Thank You - you are all brilliant!

This was my husband and my song, by Starship when we met in the month of May 1987 when this song was No 1 in UK and it meant such alot to us for personal reasons over the years.We married in 1990 had a wonderful life till it came crashing down Sept 2019 when we were told my husband had Cancer, sadly passing away March 1st 2020. At his funeral our song was played and when it is my time to join my husband I too will have our song played one more time. Great cover version but Starship for personal reasons.

@@tastenmensch5317 it’s done all the time. Now if you are doing a studio recording for an album - no. But people do fully live recordings with all components all the time. Actually - it’s sometimes preferred. Are you saying that this particular video - the drums and vocals are pre recorded?
@@DrJasonTorn Yes of course that is pre recorded. The audio sounds to good, i hear some auto-tune, and sometimes you can see the keyboarder missed some tones. Also the guitar player does not play all tones when he is doing the solo. So watch the video again and don't believe everything you see ;)

The timing of the vocals, and other instruments - and the nuance of the take - are exact. It’s almost impossible to time it like this and do it in a way which captures each nuanced change.
The only cover that comes close to being as good as the original. I'm old school so for me it's always hard to beat the original. But amazing cover... the best I have heard so far.
This was another HSCC masterpiece. Kat was amazing. Such a dinamite voice. and Jordan Killed it. He has such a range that he can hit any note. And such a melodious voice. The harmonies were magnificent between these two and Darren and Bradley. The band so much world class.
Vocally Kat and Jordan totally smashed it, their harmonies together are nothing short of superb, musically, can never fault you guys, backing harmonies wonderful, all i can say is seeya on the 7th and 8th May at the Bridgeway
HSCC - did it again!! The renewed version of the song is way better than the source - the music just swept me away back to the 80' with the atmosphere and the energy of those times. when a there is a group of musicians that every one of them is a professional and more than that plays from his soul - we get magic - this is HSCC with the beautiful talented singer KAT Jade there are only few bands in the world that can perform mega clip from the past better than than the origin - well done HSCC- masters of music.

Now to the point - I clicked on to HSCC to see what this music could possibly be, as I am Adelaide born. I clicked on "More than a Feeling" and Wow, I have not stopped watching your music now for 3 days! I don't think I have enjoyed a band more than you guys EVER! This was my husband and my song, by Starship when we met in the month of May 1987 when this song was No 1 in UK and it meant such alot to us for personal reasons over the years.We married in 1990 had a wonderful life till it came crashing down Sept 2019 when we were told my husband had Cancer, sadly passing away March 1st 2020. At his funeral our song was played and when it is my time to join my husband I too will have our song played one more time. Great cover version but Starship for personal reasons.

@@DrJasonTorn Yes of course that is pre recorded. The audio sounds to good, i hear some auto-tune, and sometimes you can see the keyboarder missed some tones. Also the guitar player does not play all tones when he is doing the solo. So watch the video again and don't believe everything you see ;)

The timing of the vocals, and other instruments - and the nuance of the take - are exact. It’s almost impossible to time it like this and do it in a way which captures each nuanced change.

This was another HSCC masterpiece. Kat was amazing. Such a dinamite voice. and Jordan Killed it. He has such a range that he can hit any note. And such a melodious voice. The harmonies were magnificent between these two and Darren and Bradley. The band so much world class.

HSCC - did it again!! The renewed version of the song is way better than the source - the music just swept me away back to the 80' with the atmosphere and the energy of those times. when a there is a group of musicians that every one of them is a professional and more than that plays from his soul - we get magic - this is HSCC with the beautiful talented singer KAT Jade there are only few bands in the world that can perform mega clip from the past better than than the origin - well done HSCC- masters of music.
