Really depends on which ford your talking about. For me ford has been very reliable though We've only had a 1999 7.3 super duty 2008 v6 mustang 2010 V8 mustang Which have all been very reliable.

In 2005 my grandpa bought a toyota/ Lexus rx330, when he passed my dad used it as a daily driver. Its now my car and it still runs strong almost 20 years later.
My first car was a Toyota Corolla 1998, it had no problems and was still running strong, decided to sell it because i needed a van who could fit a family, i then bought a 2003 Hyundai Starex 5 speed manual jumbo and turbo diesel, my cousin also gave me his 2002 Hilux SR5 with a good overland build, gave the truck to my brother but i still borrow it from him and own half of it, i drive Toyota and Hyundai, both are great car brands, very popular here in Southeast Asia too.

As a German, I have to admit that Hyundai has been the best car brand for me in the last decade. I drove two Hyundais for 11 years, and neither of them required unscheduled repairs. At the same time, my wife had an Opel Corsa, a VW Polo, a Smart fortwo and now a Peugeot e208 and a lot of trouble 😅
My 1st car was a Ford, after 5 years it would break down every 4 months. Almost bankrupted me. My 2nd was Toyota, still running great. Never broke down. Very reliable and low maintenance cost. My 3rd was mercedes, had to do a major oil leak repair in the beginning, then ran good. But have to spend quite a bit on maintenance.

Ive worked on cars for a very long time. Because of this i dont believe anyone is better than anyone else because so many parts come from other manufacturers and brands that have product lines that are built in other countries.
A good car manufacturer selects the best parts for a good car, no matter where the parts come from. e.g. Russia can't build cars anymore, because they can't even produce reliable bearings.

A proud owner of Toyota Camry here. After 7 years, 200'000 km mileage the car is still in perfect condition. Toyota is safe, reliable, easy n cheap in maintenance, not that flashy but the best value for money car.
Most of my side of the family are Toyota drivers thanks to out dad. He got the yellow wagon; seven offspring & no seat belt requirement. Had it for over 15 years. I lost track once I went out of state for school.
