The fallacy of Bitcoin or other digital currency is that you have to have folks want to accept it for barter. Just like anything that has a perceived worth. Precious metals for centuries have been acceptable for trade. Yet, we have seen the government stand in the way of this. The current regime is trying to limit the scope of barter in all way Including BitCoin. So, if it is illegal to use and folks find it too risky or hard to use as barter then it is worthless. I guarantee if I have water and you don't bitcoin isn't going to make me want to give up my water. However, if you have ammo, foodstuff, etc then those are far better stores of wealth.
