Uh .. protected from criminals, at 3:38? I know I've seen *at least* a few stories where .. crypto vaults / banks were hacked, and people who had their bitcoin with that institution *lost it.*
You completely missed the point of what he was saying. If you're holding your Bitcoin with an institution and that institution is criminal then of course it's not protected.
That would be like giving the keys to your house to your neighbor and wondering why you got robbed.
Those were institutions that held bitcoins. OTOH what Saylor is saying is that the Bitcoin system (the Bitcoin network and the ledger) were never hacked (which is true).

It wasn´t some years later, it was also 1492.
Muslims tried to invade what is now Spain (they entered in 711 and by 722 they conquered almost the whole territory). Then a war started between the several Christian kingdoms and the Muslim territories (not always Muslims vs Christians, most of the times it was one Christian kingdom vs another and they hired some Muslims for that particular war, like mercenaries). Recovering the territories until the middle of Spain (Northern half) was easy but the Muslims stayed strong in the South. After more and more wars, they only had Granada left, which was like their capital city for that emirate. In 1492, Granada was conquered and the Emir had to leave, with the very few people who chose not to change their religion.
When the people from one religion conquered a territory, all the people of that territory would either change religion to have that same one, leave the territory, or die (needless to say, everyone opted for the first option). This happened every time in the Medieval Era.
It´s not that we kicked out everyone who wasn´t a pure Christian or anything like that, it´s that there weren´t many people who weren´t Christians because almost everyone had already changed their religion
What’s your point of being this up? I guess you missed his point instead you wanted to be a Mr know it all and bring politics and religion into this. He’s saying that if they had an asset like Bitcoin then can leave and take all their monetary assets with them without moving anything.
