I remember the first time my daughter swore. Not sure how old she was, maybe 7 or 8, but she was running down the hall and tripped. She put her hands up to brace her fall and just as she landed on her stomach and hands she says "dammit:" Not real loud, but loud enough and I loved that she said it in perfect context.
My middle child asked his mom what "s.o.b" meant and she told him not to say it it was a dirty word . The next day she stubbed her toe and said crap. My son who was 5 at the time said " if i cant say son of a bitch, you cant say crap mom." All while looking at his coloring book and not looking up. I busted out laughing it. He never looked up just kept coloring
Damn that takes me back. I don't know that the hell got into me "calling my dad out" as a kid by telling him "you say bad words all the time like 'crap' and 'ass'!" In hindsight, I know what all us grown folk know...but as an 8yo boy, my little ass mind thought that was as bad as it gets. Welp...after 6 years as an F-15 maintainer in the Air Force, not only do I know better, I couldn't stop cussing if I tried (not like I've tried all that hard😋).

Playing in the room with his 11yr old brother game cube, accidentally drop his water supply cup on the console, my 11yr old hit my 3yr old in the back, he ran crying to my husband and I, we asked what happen, he responds, " imad hit me in my M.F back, my husband and I was speechless, we blame each other about where he heard it. " we spanked him,but he responded, "WTF". We made some changes that day about how we talk around our kids, we laugh about it til this day.
