ok but what the hell, these are from 5 years ago and the quality of the video is amazing, holy crap im shook. i cant stand watching bad quality videos, bless proko
I started watching your videos from your 'draw the head from any angle' I rewatched them so many times till I could do it without the need of your video and I progress through each of them. I am finally able to sketch/draw a head from any angle, front view and now side view. onto extreme angles! you make it so much fun to learn how to draw better, I've learnt so much within these 7 months of being serious about getting better. thank you :)
The first one is the oldest. So it has had time to gain more views. Same as the second. Can you NOT figure that out? Do you think a video just gets all it’s views at once?
Before stumbling upon your videos, I felt like no one could teach me a thing about art. I excelled in every art class I ever took, but it was just because of what I taught myself. Nothing ever presented improved my ability to translate anything I saw to paper. The part where I lacked the most was ability to draw something I couldn't see. Proportion and anatomical accuracy was my biggest obstacle. You have taught me so much when it comes to drawing my favorite subject, people. I honestly cant thank you enough. I cant believe this is free, I will me suggesting these videos to my old art teachers and professors.
I read this comment and it legitimately made me feel like i was reading my own mind. How good are you at drawing anatomy and proportions, six years later, if you dont mind me asking? I'm stuck in exactly the same boat and wondering what i can possibly do to improve. Even the beginners in my art class have better proportions than me, even though i can shade hyper-realistically.
This is the best tuition in drawing I have ever seen! It does actually show you how to do it, most books etc just shows someone drawing with no explanation of how it's done. Well done Stan!
Life drawing in college was great and all, but I have learned more from your first 3 videos about facial proportions than I did in all of those classes. There is probably a bit of growing up I have done in that time to be able to absorb the material taught better, but the presentation here and simplification is by far amazing. I love these tutorials for this and greatly appreciate they were made, no matter how old they may be. Thank you!
I regret not having watched your tutorials sooner. They're straightforward and helpful! Most tutorial videos nowadays are sooooo full of fluff or goes through so many things first before getting to the point.
Stan, all your drawing videos are superior to any others I've seen on you tube. You're clear, precise, and interesting to listen to. Glad I've discovered these.
You're officially my favorite person on RUclips! I have been working on learning to "draw" for a while but have had to trace a lot of the main structure of the head/faces. I have been watching tons of videos trying to find one that really breaks it down enough for a beginner to easily follow. You are the first I've been able to follow and have it actually look like what you have drawn! Well done! Thanks so much!
Thank you! He was right I think. In the first video the music was louder and possibly distracting. But I don't plan on removing the music, just turn it down a bit.
U are an amazing art teacher. And people, this is the best video series I have seen. I have been surfing to find good instructional videos on drawing face for some time. Lucky to have found this. Thank u so much.
Excellent! I've watched all 3 and cant wait for more. Uploaded your original video this evening to my favourite video site and it hit 'popular' in the same evening. Well done, fella!
Hey dude just wanted to say thanks for this vid. I've read loomis's books before but I was never really able to quite grasp it. Your video helped all the pieces fall together so thanks again! Oh and I know someone said in a previous video that you should remove the music please don't because it adds an air of playfulness. So far I love the format you have here. Looking forward to more vids :)
Your tutorial is so easy to understand.. but honestly i am watching multiple times.. but each time I get much better improvement.. thanks proko.. best tutorials on youtube.. continue to help us..
As a self-tutored artist i find these videos highly useful, they are short(you could make longer ones as a side thing) and easy to follow. The thing you do, adding lines to your own face, makes it even more realistic as we can see what we need to draw.Keep this going on, thank you - your fan :D
I have never been this excited for new videos to be released you are helping me so much with my drawing, I was on the verge of quitting my drawing career. Thank you Proko you have saved me. What is next with your videos? and when will you cover the facial features?
This tutorial and the other head ones are so straight forward and to the point. Do this to get this and so on, great tutorial. I'm no artist but after watching these the heads I sketch have gotten better and more consistent, thank you!
Thank you sooo much for this video. You saved my art project, and finished with an A. You are seriously a lifesaver and you deserve way more subscribers!
wow man. your videos are the best ive seen. they are short but very informative, within the first video i already learned more than i have in a couple days of other videos. I draw manga/anime and decided I need a more realistic aproach and YOU SIR ARE MY GO TO PERSON.
please don't run out of positive enthusiasm and kill the series before all the many episodes you plan to make!! You are awesome and we are with you ! practicing this tutorial as I speak.Keep this up man ! Huge fan !
dude, you are one of the most amazing man , i have ever seen in the art world.. Thanks a ton for your videos.. I will soon buy your DVD (& whatsoever you will release), as soon as i will practise these many tutorials. Thanks again :)
I found this complicated at first and use to draw portraits the old fashioned eye balling way, I want to be a versatile artist so I must learn anyway I can to draw what I want to. These tutorials are what I wish I found before taking drawing seriously since a year ago
I've been sitting here trying to figure out who it is you look so much like. But now I've figured it out: you must be the lovechild of Mark Foster and Andrew Scott! But to the point: Great head/face-tutorials, they've helped me out so much! Much appreciated!
These are really amazing videos, thank you so much. Your videos have helped me all throughout high school and I'm now majoring in Visual Arts in college. You're the most clear, concise youtuber out there and you really know what you do. Also you're really cute haha. Thank you so much!
Then Practice drawing circles of different sizes over and over again, using one line. Draw from your shoulder and do it a LOT. I'm a beginner, so i don't know if i should be giving advice, but this worked for me.
Great drawing videos. I have zero talent, but even I'm beginning to draw things that look like superhero heads which is what I've always wanted to be able to draw!!! Very well explained. Thank you
Thank u so much for this series, it helped alot with my proportionism and realism too. Usually my eyes r big or the mouth is misplaced, but no more of that.

Amazing video as always, really helping me with my normal style and a slightly more realistic feel to what I felt lacked proportion in my own work. But that's not the best part. The best part was OH MY ODIN, FEATURES! HUZZAH!
thank you soo much, you are so kind i dont think u realise how much youre helping me out you legend! these videos are so helpful and i cannot wait for more.... where you drawing all those feautures because the drawings are amazing.
Thank you so, so SO much of these tutorials. I don't think you know how much you've affected my life. Because of these, I'm drawing such lovely, lovely people. Thanks you so much. P.S. maybe you can do a video concerning different structure between genders! :)
Thank you so much for all of your videos, I find them very helpful. I have Loomis' book and even though he tries to explain everything in detail, I couldn't apply his method until I've seen your videos. They're full of valuable insights. I know you made videos about individual features but can you also make a video about positioning all of them on the Loomis head please? It would help a lot.
