    the beginning of the intro soundtrack is so insanely good

    Always preferred the original, personally.
    The rendered humans *are* pretty goofy looking, so I can understand why they might have substituted them for more cars in the updated version, but overall the original had better editing and a more exciting 'feel'

      The way they did the editing fits perfectly with the intro song.

    I like the Championship Edition much more. I love the introduction, which builds the environment until the competition begins, it is simply overwhelming. Of the rest, I remember especially the part of the subaru rubbing with the chassis the jungle mud, in the second 1:11.
    However, I must say that the end of the Expert version, more precisely 1:35, links brilliantly with the title of the game.

    Expert edition has too many slow downed clips

    • @karelpipa
      @karelpipa 3 года назад +2

      and it lacks the crashing Focus, which is nice on championship edition

    In my opinion there is only 1 V-Rally 2 intro which is the Championship Edition Intro. Thats what i played when i was growing up and the ending is much better than on the "Expert Edition" intro.

      Yeah I agreed with you, I like the ending of the Championship Edition too. To me, the intro itself was perfect especially the way they arranged the scenes that matches the rhythm from the music. When I started to play V-Rally 2 on PS1 when I was a kid, I only know Championship Edition. I've never thought there will be other versions of the game for other consoles until I stumble upon an Expert Edition intro video which is what make me do this comparison. The Expert Edition intro seems a bit messy with the clips not arranged properly although the 3D animation in Expert Edition looks nice..

      Also they took their time in making the background switch smoothly from Snow to Gravel etc. Along with the start 0:53 is my favourite part. This game alongside with Crash Team Racing was my childhood. Good Memories :=)

      Yeah, they did. I particular like when the Ford Focus goes through the waters while the scene is paused and the camera is moving around it. That was cool! I haven't played Crash Team Racing yet but it's one of the games that I'm gonna play on my PS1.

      hashrulsubzero definitely play Crash Team Racing if you haven't already. DEFINITELY worth a play, great game. Also, I didn't know that there was two different versions of V-Rally 2, or that it was on other consoles than the PS1. Championship Edition is still the best

    I don't fucking understand, why everyone hate EE, this when CE, to me, is unreal shit.
    EE has real better graphics, physics(for me physics are not the same), more possibilities in track editor.
    And yes - Expert Edition Intro is more fucking better.
    But THIS, THIS, is JUST MY OPINION.
    That's all I have for this comment.
