i can see now why they called it NFS V-Rally, it's literally a mix of old V-Rally and the NFS Porsche Unleashed ( ps1 version ), i can tell because of the interior models, licence plate saying your name, and the damage physics being almost identical !
Finland one i found first when i was a kid. Out of these, monaco one is the only one i didnt know, i dont really count the "junction" ones as shortcut tho. Fun fact, if you finish race when AI behind you has gap of "--|--" then the final gap in results will be always only few seconds apart no matter what. If the gap is in "LAPS" then the gap will be in several minutes.
When i was child, i notice that when colour sections on the map were weird, there must be a short cut in that stage... event real check points on the sides of the road were in different position than the map sections
I never found that Finland one, the map is misleading, you can see the checkpoints don't match up with the colours of the sections on the minimap. How did you find it?
I just started to really play this game and never new there were shortcuts... That's awe some I love this game I prefer it to v rally 4. I think they should remaster this game and port it to the Nintendo switch
Yup, the only 2 paths the AI can take, in england and argentina are longer/much longer than the normal path. It's not worth taking them even as a player, as in arcade mode you don't have enough time
I think so yeah. I barely ever touched Expert Edition, on pc. I really didn't like it besides the improved graphics and longer created tracks so i don't really know all the tracks on it
Funny that the only "shortcuts" the AI can actualy pick to drive on are paths that absolutely don't cut time off a lap lmao

Indeed, NFS P2000/PU was developed by the devs of V-Rally 2 using its engine.
