I’m 34 and have a terminal illness and am playing a song from this album at my funeral and hope my Daughter appreciates their whole career as I raised her on our “Christian” music and this fit right in… I saw them live in San Francisco when I was 15 with Blindside headlining and if ANYONE has any pics or vids from then it’d make my days! This album was magic. So was their subsequent ones….
It was at The Pound in San Francisco September 17th 2004 !

I just want to say I love EVERY MF HERE who is listening to this. I don't believe in GOD, but I believe in the feeling behind this music and I'm sickened to see less than 1k likes on something that moulded me on such a raw, emotional level growing up. I'm 34 and this shit still SLAPS and it's a go-to 🖤

Being sad
After about 15 years, and 20 something shows, and all the music...i just want to thank you guys again for the greatest gift strangers could give, and for helping countless folks get through the good times and the bad. I told aaron in philly in 2009 at first unitarian, that whatever may happen in our lives, know that the music saved at least one person. Here i am in 2021 married, expecting, and still listening-to the music and to the lord. Thank you and god bless

This era of Mewithoutyou was one of the Big elements that INSPIRED me want to pursue a life of music . Congrats all and thanks for the years of amazing art and music
I only listened to rap music and hip hop and my first gf gave me a mix cd that had MwY,Blindside, and others… I went to a Concert headlined by mewithoutYou AND Blindside in San Francisco and I wish I could thank her each and every day for the gift she gave me!!!! Live/Good music is the BEST and this album plus all subsequent are LEGENDARY!!!

This live mix has such a different feel from the album and I love it! Listening to this, I feel like I’m 20 again.
God I’m so mad at myself for missing this tour. This album meant so much to me. One of the first albums I bought as a kid. It opened my eyes to what music could be. I’m glad I at least got to see mwY on the Pale Horse album cycle. You will be so dearly missed, but your rest is so well deserved, with an undying legacy to look back on & listen to.

man this album was released just before i was born but this band and basically everything about it is so so fascinating
I've had a very difficult life. Growing up, i realized things that happened to me wasn't right.. and never was my fault. But as an adult, the wrong, some my fault, some not... I've come to accept these wrongs. I have to in order to move on... got to keep moving on. This album has been my go to when i find my self in that all too "familiar ill".
Got to keep moving forward. Thank you God, for another day of moving forward.

When I first heard this album my mind was blown. I couldn’t take my eyes off you guys live
From the moment my church buddy popped this album in his cd player I was completely mesmerized and inspired INSTANTLY by the track that started playing (bullet to binary). Since that day I've seen them live 6 times in 3 different states. Unfortunately when I eventually became an Atheist it was difficult at first to listen to them just bc how silly the God concept is to me now. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to take them seriously. Of course I was nieve to think that because no matter what the lyrical content may reference the music is a forever time stamp of my youth. Thank you guys for always being so kind and giving it your all at every show.
The God concept can be anything you want it to be. My God concept is a higher power. Whether that is some cosmic energy or just the idea that something out there is bigger than me and that I should always strive to learn more about the questions we all have. What am I? Who am I? Where am I? Why am I? How am I? We aren't just some NPC in the world. Something happened on a cosmic scale for us to even have this conversation. Do not let other's loose morals and self-righteousness deter you from the ultimate goal. To understand the nature of our sgared reality and to find out who you are. Be well and may blessings come to you and your loved ones

Never actually watched anything from this and I LOVE that he brough the zilbel back out. Idk why its always such a cool/fun thing for me, but I feel like most times I see bands revisit old work where the drummer used one its just not there and its such a specific sound, and it's always missed for me when it's not there. The opening notes for the album on drums have been cemented in my brain since before I even hit puberty. Seeing that dang that on it's own cymbal stand rocks.
I’m so grateful I got to make it to one of these shows from this tour. I’m originally from PA, and moved out Missouri for 2 years when they announced this tour. I made it to a show in St Louis, I’m upset the energy of the crowd wasn’t the same (seemed like most of the crowd came for circa survive) I was the only one there singing and dancing throughout their entire set. (Maybe some others but I didn’t notice!) I feel a little selfish for not shoving myself to the front to be visible to them someone was having the time of their lives!
So for the band, if you ever read this and remember the St. Louis show of this tour, you put on an amazing performance, and I couldn’t be more thankful for your years of music and performing.

Managed to get the vinyl record before it disappears from the face of the Earth. and I've actually booked next Saturday to have a tattoo done inspired from this album. I wish there was a high quality live version of messes of men online. That is lyrically the best song I have ever heard. You could remove the song and turn it to a poem and it would be a classic. And the delivery is top notch too.
Gonna have to keep an eye on their tour, and I'll make sure to show up if they come within 100 miles.

I've known this album since I was like a freshman in high school and it was new and still can't remember some of the songs titles, but the track starting at 25: 50 is it think then they start to REALLY get the fuck into it. Straight in the middle lol.

Yeah, La Dispute REALLY stole their sound! I refuse to listen to them because of it. If Aaron/mwY sounds like another band before them, I’m not aware of it. La Dispute is a carbon copy, paint by the numbers version of mewithoutYou.
