I feel like Luka is getting more ignored out of the Crypton vocaloids. I mean she surpassed Miku in downloads when she was released, and her voice bank is overall really smooth. I love Miku and all but I feel Luka needs some more love
Well luka is not the only vocaloid character that is ignored,there's kaito and of course meiko since these two needs an update and besides luka is my fav and these vocaloids character that I mentioned needs more attention than miku,len,rin and gumi maybe..

my unpopular 5am opinions: 1) a lot of the newer vocaloids have cute designs (mikoto and hime especially) but it’s hard to keep up with them, it’d be better to get maybe one or two new vocaloids with really really good voicebanks and update the older vocaloids more 2) piko is underrated 3) otomachi’s sugar voicebank isn’t good her spicy voicebank is where it’s at 4) please god i’m begging please crypton give meiko more love
I disagree with the Una one. I think they're both good when used right. Like, that one Melt cover with her spicy bank was YES. But fantastic night wouldn't be nearly as calming if not for her sugar bank.

Unpopular opinions: 1. Oliver and most of the Memesquad (minus Len) are underrated and need some more recognition, especially on their anniversaries. 2. About number 6, it's because of the Japanese fandom. Fukase has tight restrictions on how he can be used (more specifically, producers have to pay Yamaha a royalty or smth, correct me if I'm wrong), so there aren't too many original songs for him. As for Piko, he released at the wrong time (really close to Rin and Len's append which stole his spotlight) and he sorta didn't pick up in the Japanese fandom. In Oliver's case, I guess it's because there aren't as many fans of him? Or, more likely, since Power FX really doesn't do Vocaloid related stuff anymore. They're not really in that market, so unless they give the rights to Oliver to some other company, I don't expect to see an update for him, or any concerts any time soon.
unpopular opinion: meiko is probably the most underated vocaloid in crypton. she's really not that fairly mentioned, you don't get excited for new Meiko songs usually, and most of her music is really either tailored to Sex-Caniballism-Cheating-Anger-Sad Nostalgia- or some cover about Kaito x Meiko. I apologize for Meiko fans, but seriously, she has the least amount of attention over all 6 vocaloids. Some unpopular opinions: - I don't like Gakupo's portrayal in Nico Nico Cho Parties (in general I'm not a fan of perverted characters who just run after girls all the time. These concerts are still awesome though). - While Project Diva X has way too many Miku songs and not enough songs overall, I still love every single song included. - While Rin and Len are not twins in canon, I still find it weird to ship them because of how alike they look and how they are literally supposed to be each other's reflection. - Meiko has a very nice voice and I wish more people used her for original songs. - Rin and Len have my least favorite voices out of the Cryptonloids. My favorite is Luka's. - I'm honestly not a huge fan of Gumi's voice, but that probably has more to do with people not tuning her in a way I like. - Some underrated Vocaloids who deserve more recognition in my opinion are Iroha, Lily, VY2, Kokone, and Lumi - The actual song matters more than the Vocaloid used. I do want more diversity in Vocaloid songs but honestly, if a song is good, I don't care if it's another Miku original or if the tuning isn't that great, that's why covers exist. Composition and lyrics come first. - Producers should be more appreciated for their work. The Vocaloid is just an instrument that the producer uses for their song. This why I'm more inclined to look for a producer's other songs than songs including a specific Vocaloid.

miki was supposed to be a counterpart to piko before they got carried over to different companies, i guess she would have been used more if she was marketed as such.
This may be random but I’m tired of the original designs of the vocaloids. The designs from V3 and onward are so colorful and perfect compared to the boring old school ones. Yet we get Miku in her dull gray shirt for 2/3 of a concert.
Ok I love miku's regular outfit it might be gray but it's still unique and all the vocaloid's are recognized by the outfit that they wear taking that outfit away would be like taking a personality trait from a person therefore I disagree with your opinion.

I have seen Miku in her some OG design in concerts for 10 years. It would be refreshing to use the newer designs to promote change and progression.

also, i wanted to add another comment. tbh i agree when you said that Crypton doesn’t really advertise their vocaloids well. most of the time, it’s all about miku. i don’t hate miku at all, i love her to death and she’s one of my faves. if it wasn’t for her, i probably wouldn’t have discovered vocaloid and vocaloid wouldn’t be the same as it is today. however, i just really wish Crypton would give more love to the other vocaloids. especially meiko, cause holy shit she gets almost no recognition. maybe im just biased cause meiko is one of my faves, but i seriously feel like she gets the least amount of attention out of all the cryptonloids. i feel like if she wasn’t a cryptonloid, then she’d most likely just be forgotten about. she’s just kind of... there. i feel like a lot of people only acknowledge meiko for her boobs and the fact that she likes to drink. it doesn’t help that meiko is hard to tune, so she doesn’t have a lot of songs. however, the thing is meiko’s voicebank is supposed to be for professionals. i feel with practice, time and patience, meiko could produce great results with her voice. but like i said, sadly, she’s not very popular so a lot of people don’t bother with her. i probably rambled a bit too much and this was probably really biased, but crypton really needs to start advertising their other vocaloids better.

i totally agree with you on miku x kaito! i don’t care if people ship it because they can do whatever they want with their lives, but honestly... i just don’t understand the hype or appeal behind it. i just feel like miku is too young for kaito and kaito is too mature for her. miku is 16 and kaito is interpreted to be about 20. i can see them being friends, but i just really don’t see them as lovers. im gonna give my biased opinion, but honestly i just feel like someone like meiko or luka suits kaito more. i do ship meiko x kaito, however i don’t really ship kaito x luka, but i feel like those two suit kaito better than miku. yknow, vocaloids who are actually supposed to be adults rather than teenagers. i just feel like kaito shouldn’t be dating a 16 year old and he’d be better off with someone who’s more his age. According to his original V1 illustrator, he’s meant to portray a middle aged man, so yeah, 40 seems about right There’s no arguing here, Kaito is as a matter of fact too old to date teenagers. I know that Crypton is trying to sweep this fact under the rug because they want Vocaloids to be interpreted as their user wants to, but looking past this concept they tried to apply later on, there’s no discussion that he’s meant to be middle aged. Naoto Fuuga (his voice provider) was middle aged during the original recordings and thus had a middle aged man’s voice and the illustrator of his original V1 voice created his character as a middle aged man.

If you look at a translation of the lyrics in Lots Of Laugh, the song is about a young girl who wants to live in an innocent dreamland forever. (At least that's how I interpreted it) The auto tune provides a 'melancholic' state to the voice, painting the "chocolate bathtubs" and 'wonderlands' in a negative light. The autotune makes Miku sound monotonous, providing an image of a repetitive life of "dreams and happiness", like she's slowly getting bored of the "amusement land" that she dreamed of.

Unpopular opinion: GUMI's designs are actually reallu good most the time (some are overdone and meh, but some are pretty good). In fact, she has some of my favorite designs. The art style used for it seems to really effect people's opinions on the actual clothes n' character n' stuff, not saying it's bad or anything, but it just doesn't fit her with her outfit. I dunno if this really is unpopular or smth, because I don't meet a lot of Vocaloid fans, but yee
plus, at niconico parties, the stage is set up WAY better! they have full displays, and you get to see more than a hologram dancing. imo, regular vocaloid concerts that just have the original mv + dancing hologram could be better, so i really like how niconico party has so many screens and graphics!
Also if i may leave something here that's been on my mind about the "Miku is advertised above everyone else" issue Crypton has, I have this joke in my friend group whenever someone jokingly says Miku is the only vocaloid that matters (they say it to mess with me they dont mean it) i always bring up the totem pole from Project Diva X because it really is just Crypton coming out about their pecking order. You can't really find images of it in a search but trust me when I say they order it from top to bottom: Miku, Rin, Len/Luka (i can't remember who was first but it's between those two) Meiko, and Kaito on the bottom. First thing that came to mind was that this was a chart of importance according to Crypton. Just a fun fact for everybody in that field of unpopular opinions.
Having the totem pole in X, I strangely find that the order of the Vocaloids is the same as the customization menu for Megamix and Future Tone. Miku Rin Len Luka Meiko Kaito It kinda seems like a social hierarchy to me at least, with (coincidentally) Kaito and Meiko being Vocaloids who are underrated in their own games. If I remember off the top of my head, I believe Meiko has the least number of songs that she APPEARS IN (including Decorator and Senbonzakura) with it being 14. I believe Kaito has 16, Luka having 34, Rin and Len with a close race at 30 and 28 respectively, and Miku gets 145ish. (Counting all the DlCs in Megamix as of June 2, 2021.)

I love the fact that mostly everyone is arguing and agreeing about the facts in the video despite knowing that this was an opinion based video 😂. I mean, there are things that we will agree on but some things we won't, due to our preferences (I agreed in most of the opinions but disagreed on a few). That just proves that we're human.
Hopefully, I can give good opinions on these, cause a lot of them I can't relate to them all that well. 1) I feel this is kind of a general truth. Going to back to a lot of versions of Vocaloid before the current V4's/V4X's/V5's, you'll see how choppy their voicebanks used to be and how they're a lot smoother, and overall, better. 2) From what I've seen, NicoNico Cho has a lot more Vocaloid variety, a lot more Vocaloids (and Teto) than what Vocaloid concerts have, and the performances are a lot more flashy and creative while Vocaloid concerts don't have nearly enough style to even get close to being as good as NicoNico Cho. I still like both though, I'll watch either one. 3) If anything, I just wish people gave her an official voicebank, but I know at this point, that won't really be possible. For this case though, I prefer lower-pitched Rin mainly because I feel it sounds better than with high-pitched Miku. Miku has Haku anyway, so may as well give Rin some love! 4) Sorry, I got nothing. I sort of know who SeeU is, but I have never heard of Uni before. 5) Never seen a VSinger concert before, but if they put all their vocaloids in the spotlight AT ONCE, then yes, much better promotion than Crypton, even though doing better than Crypton in that department isn't hard at all. 6) Eh, no hate against that ship. Not really for or against it. I'm more for Miku X Luka and KAITO x MEIKO (even though the ladder is kind of an easy ship to make). I'd give my unpopular Vocaloid opinions but you've voiced all of which I can think of so thanks mate, that's a sub from me Although one thing I wanna point out is the thought of NicoNico Parties being better than actual vocaloid concerts. I do mostly agree, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd have a very hard time. NicoNico parties have a major advantage because they actually use the stuff they are given, they grab the oppurtunity to bring vocaloids to life in an absolutely stunning manner and their song transitions are satisfying as all hell. On the other hand, while actual Vocaloid concerts do not make use of what they have to everyone's dismay, their models are without question better, NicoNico is pretty much just MMD but with impressive effects, I am seriously not a fan of the TDA models. The other amazing thing about the better model is the physics, goddamn. Whilst watching concerts I secretly hope that Miku's hair gets stuck on her arm or smth just so I can see it slide back into position perfectly. The talking sagements of Miku Expos are also very nice. I suppose if you really want something crazy to bop your head to, NicoNico Parties are for you, but actual Vocaloid Concerts seem weirdly humble? Something about them just really brings out all my somewhat bittersweet love for Vocaloid throughout my life so easily. About number 6, it's because of the Japanese fandom. Fukase has tight restrictions on how he can be used (more specifically, producers have to pay Yamaha a royalty or smth, correct me if I'm wrong), so there aren't too many original songs for him. As for Piko, he released at the wrong time (really close to Rin and Len's append which stole his spotlight) and he sorta didn't pick up in the Japanese fandom. In Oliver's case, I guess it's because there aren't as many fans of him? Or, more likely, since Power FX really doesn't do Vocaloid related stuff anymore. They're not really in that market, so unless they give the rights to Oliver to some other company, I don't expect to see an update for him, or any concerts any time soon.

He's sorta become my favourite producer. I don't why because when I come to the fandom, all I want is to listen to Vocaloids Miku or not. This year, he is probably the only one that I am a fan of.
Some unpopular opinions:
- I don't like Gakupo's portrayal in Nico Nico Cho Parties (in general I'm not a fan of perverted characters who just run after girls all the time. These concerts are still awesome though).
- While Project Diva X has way too many Miku songs and not enough songs overall, I still love every single song included.
- While Rin and Len are not twins in canon, I still find it weird to ship them because of how alike they look and how they are literally supposed to be each other's reflection.
- Meiko has a very nice voice and I wish more people used her for original songs.
- Rin and Len have my least favorite voices out of the Cryptonloids. My favorite is Luka's.
- I'm honestly not a huge fan of Gumi's voice, but that probably has more to do with people not tuning her in a way I like.
- Some underrated Vocaloids who deserve more recognition in my opinion are Iroha, Lily, VY2, Kokone, and Lumi
- The actual song matters more than the Vocaloid used. I do want more diversity in Vocaloid songs but honestly, if a song is good, I don't care if it's another Miku original or if the tuning isn't that great, that's why covers exist. Composition and lyrics come first.
- Producers should be more appreciated for their work. The Vocaloid is just an instrument that the producer uses for their song. This why I'm more inclined to look for a producer's other songs than songs including a specific Vocaloid.

This may be random but I’m tired of the original designs of the vocaloids. The designs from V3 and onward are so colorful and perfect compared to the boring old school ones. Yet we get Miku in her dull gray shirt for 2/3 of a concert.

also, i wanted to add another comment. tbh i agree when you said that Crypton doesn’t really advertise their vocaloids well. most of the time, it’s all about miku. i don’t hate miku at all, i love her to death and she’s one of my faves. if it wasn’t for her, i probably wouldn’t have discovered vocaloid and vocaloid wouldn’t be the same as it is today. however, i just really wish Crypton would give more love to the other vocaloids. especially meiko, cause holy shit she gets almost no recognition. maybe im just biased cause meiko is one of my faves, but i seriously feel like she gets the least amount of attention out of all the cryptonloids. i feel like if she wasn’t a cryptonloid, then she’d most likely just be forgotten about. she’s just kind of... there. i feel like a lot of people only acknowledge meiko for her boobs and the fact that she likes to drink. it doesn’t help that meiko is hard to tune, so she doesn’t have a lot of songs. however, the thing is meiko’s voicebank is supposed to be for professionals. i feel with practice, time and patience, meiko could produce great results with her voice. but like i said, sadly, she’s not very popular so a lot of people don’t bother with her. i probably rambled a bit too much and this was probably really biased, but crypton really needs to start advertising their other vocaloids better.

Unpopular opinion: There's too much hype around Vocaloids and not enough hype on the Producers even though they (and the songs they create) are the backbone of this fandom and the fandom itself wouldn't exist if the Producers didn't create amazing songs with Vocaloid.

i totally agree with you on miku x kaito! i don’t care if people ship it because they can do whatever they want with their lives, but honestly... i just don’t understand the hype or appeal behind it. i just feel like miku is too young for kaito and kaito is too mature for her. miku is 16 and kaito is interpreted to be about 20. i can see them being friends, but i just really don’t see them as lovers. im gonna give my biased opinion, but honestly i just feel like someone like meiko or luka suits kaito more. i do ship meiko x kaito, however i don’t really ship kaito x luka, but i feel like those two suit kaito better than miku. yknow, vocaloids who are actually supposed to be adults rather than teenagers. i just feel like kaito shouldn’t be dating a 16 year old and he’d be better off with someone who’s more his age. There’s no arguing here, Kaito is as a matter of fact too old to date teenagers. I know that Crypton is trying to sweep this fact under the rug because they want Vocaloids to be interpreted as their user wants to, but looking past this concept they tried to apply later on, there’s no discussion that he’s meant to be middle aged. Naoto Fuuga (his voice provider) was middle aged during the original recordings and thus had a middle aged man’s voice and the illustrator of his original V1 voice created his character as a middle aged man.

If you look at a translation of the lyrics in Lots Of Laugh, the song is about a young girl who wants to live in an innocent dreamland forever. (At least that's how I interpreted it) The auto tune provides a 'melancholic' state to the voice, painting the "chocolate bathtubs" and 'wonderlands' in a negative light. The autotune makes Miku sound monotonous, providing an image of a repetitive life of "dreams and happiness", like she's slowly getting bored of the "amusement land" that she dreamed of.

GUMI's designs are actually reallu good most the time (some are overdone and meh, but some are pretty good). In fact, she has some of my favorite designs. The art style used for it seems to really effect people's opinions on the actual clothes n' character n' stuff, not saying it's bad or anything, but it just doesn't fit her with her outfit. plus, at niconico parties, the stage is set up WAY better! they have full displays, and you get to see more than a hologram dancing. imo, regular vocaloid concerts that just have the original mv + dancing hologram could be better, so i really like how niconico party has so many screens and graphics!

I have this joke in my friend group whenever someone jokingly says Miku is the only vocaloid that matters (they say it to mess with me they dont mean it) i always bring up the totem pole from Project Diva X because it really is just Crypton coming out about their pecking order.
You can't really find images of it in a search but trust me when I say they order it from top to bottom: Miku, Rin, Len/Luka (i can't remember who was first but it's between those two) Meiko, and Kaito on the bottom. First thing that came to mind was that this was a chart of importance according to Crypton. Just a fun fact for everybody in that field of unpopular opinions.

It kinda seems like a social hierarchy to me at least, with (coincidentally) Kaito and Meiko being Vocaloids who are underrated in their own games. If I remember off the top of my head, I believe Meiko has the least number of songs that she APPEARS IN (including Decorator and Senbonzakura) with it being 14. I believe Kaito has 16, Luka having 34, Rin and Len with a close race at 30 and 28 respectively, and Miku gets 145ish. (Counting all the DlCs in Megamix as of June 2, 2021.)

I love the fact that mostly everyone is arguing and agreeing about the facts in the video despite knowing that this was an opinion based video 😂. I mean, there are things that we will agree on but some things we won't, due to our preferences (I agreed in most of the opinions but disagreed on a few). That just proves that we're human.
Hopefully, I can give good opinions on these, cause a lot of them I can't relate to them all that well.
1) I feel this is kind of a general truth. Going to back to a lot of versions of Vocaloid before the current V4's/V4X's/V5's, you'll see how choppy their voicebanks used to be and how they're a lot smoother, and overall, better.
2) From what I've seen, NicoNico Cho has a lot more Vocaloid variety, a lot more Vocaloids (and Teto) than what Vocaloid concerts have, and the performances are a lot more flashy and creative while Vocaloid concerts don't have nearly enough style to even get close to being as good as NicoNico Cho. I still like both though, I'll watch either one.
3) If anything, I just wish people gave her an official voicebank, but I know at this point, that won't really be possible. For this case though, I prefer lower-pitched Rin mainly because I feel it sounds better than with high-pitched Miku. Miku has Haku anyway, so may as well give Rin some love!
4) Sorry, I got nothing. I sort of know who SeeU is, but I have never heard of Uni before.
5) Never seen a VSinger concert before, but if they put all their vocaloids in the spotlight AT ONCE, then yes, much better promotion than Crypton, even though doing better than Crypton in that department isn't hard at all.
6) Eh, no hate against that ship. Not really for or against it. I'm more for Miku X Luka and KAITO x MEIKO (even though the ladder is kind of an easy ship to make). And for Len X Neru, I had no clue that ship was even a thing! tbh, I don't really know any character I'd ship with Len's pervy self. I'll just let him mature for a few more Vocaloid years (aka he's never maturing).
7) I feel the main reason that people love Len this much may have to do with how he's a male Vocaloid in a haystack of female Vocaloids. Sure there's also KAITO, but Len gets way more love than KAITO or any other Vocaloid, so all the love makes sense. I love Len, but he's not ultimate or perfect by any means, although I can't argue that he isn't the perfect Vocaloid because I don't know any song where Len sounds bad. Eh, FUKASE will always be the best male Vocaloid anyway. UwU
8) I'm actually gonna stick this unpopular opinion with my own unpopular opinion.
8.5) 9 times out of 10, Vocaloid Covers are a lot better than Vocaloid Originals. This makes sense to me since Vocaloid Producers have to know how to make a song AND make a Vocaloid sound good, while Vocaloid Coverists only have to focus on making a Vocaloid sound good. Even so, there are some Vocaloid Producers that pitch Vocaloids amazingly, like KIRA (please follow him, he's a gem in the world of Vocaloid Production).
Back to 8) This is where Melancholic comes back in. Now, I LOVE Melancholic, but I will admit that some covers do this song a lot better. Also, your complaints with the song all have to do with the original, when there are covers of this song that are Outstanding, at least imo. If you want some great covers, I'd recommend these.

9) I WANT TO BELIEVE!!!! I want my crazy theories that Vocaloid will come into Smash Ultimate and that 2 more Vocaloids will come to Project Diva (I'd say GUMI and FUKASE) to be a reality!!! For real though, could you imagine how much more popular Vocaloid would get if they came into Smash! That may let Vocaloid live for a few more centuries! Although one thing I wanna point out is the thought of NicoNico Parties being better than actual vocaloid concerts. I do mostly agree, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd have a very hard time. NicoNico parties have a major advantage because they actually use the stuff they are given, they grab the oppurtunity to bring vocaloids to life in an absolutely stunning manner and their song transitions are satisfying as all hell. On the other hand, while actual Vocaloid concerts do not make use of what they have to everyone's dismay, their models are without question better, NicoNico is pretty much just MMD but with impressive effects, I am seriously not a fan of the TDA models. The other amazing thing about the better model is the physics, goddamn. Whilst watching concerts I secretly hope that Miku's hair gets stuck on her arm or smth just so I can see it slide back into position perfectly. The talking sagements of Miku Expos are also very nice. I suppose if you really want something crazy to bop your head to, NicoNico Parties are for you, but actual Vocaloid Concerts seem weirdly humble? Something about them just really brings out all my somewhat bittersweet love for Vocaloid throughout my life so easily.
I guess in the end I'd pick a NicoNico Party just cause other vocaloids get more spotlight there. (I still love you tho Miku)
