How can this only have 1000 likes? Song of the Gods is one of the best songs I've heard. The guitarwork is absolutely amazing, giving me goosebumps every single time. I'm so glad that I'm going to see them live in a few weeks :)
This album is literally perfect! Haven't stopped listening to it since a friend of mine showed me it. So addicting especially how each song blends in so well together.
This is an even larger step away from their Death Metal roots than their previous album was and I absolutely love that. This here feels genuinely fresh and exiting. It has a lot of awesome blackened atmosphere and is just a fun record. Definetely one of my favorites this year.
Yeah, fun is really a good way to describe it. It's just one of those fun records that are also serious from a musical perspective and therefore quite good. Reminds me why i liked the first Kvelertak so much when it came out.
First time listening to this. What an amazing balance between the extreme voice and the instrumentals. Pure masterpiece, different from everything I have heard so far. ❤
See, I'm probably gonna piss someone off here but the Mastodon/Black Sabbath feel of the first track....pretty damn cool. Never heard of this band, and now I gotta find some of their older stuff as many comments(and the vocals) point to their deatg metal roots. Someone pointed out a Dire Straits vibe...yup during that solo. Good stuff indeed.....good stuff indeed
Can we just please all take a minute for the tasty ass guitar in the first song? I'm so upset that I found whatever this is after I already posted my top 5 metal albums list for 2018.
I saw the live gig of ROCK HARD FESTIVAL on TV. They blow me away. All kind of my style faves is inside of this glowing hot album! Guys, you brought me back my faith in hard-rocking music with Death Metal fragments. Did I already mention that outstanding guitar work? Well done!
the voice reminds me a mixture of ~1994 Tiamat and Tribulation, though in Tribulation's singer voice I also hear some Dark Tranquillity which here is not present. Tribulation just my complain is that they can't keep it up for an album, too many fillers.
Yep, totally agree … together with Sulphur Aeon's "The Scythe…" Van released the two Metal-Highlights of the year within nearly 4 weeks \../. Every Best Of 2018 list has to be redone ;-)
@@lacsativ1 : Creature - Inquiétudes, amazing unique and forward-thinking somewhat black metal (very limiting tag here), with unusual rythmic patterns, heavy throbbing bass, horns, and a heavy mix of epic prog from the 70s, and also other influences pretty hard to describe. The whole album really is a must listen imo, and is my #1 I think. And then you have Esoctrilihum - Inhüma, another pretty atypical release, yet in the more identificable realm of black/death. A terrifying yet magnificient release, very heavy and at the same time aerial, with surprising entrancing and beautiful melodies lurking around every corner of bludgeoning punishment.
I am surprised. Had seen CoD several times, but they never really got me. But this music here really is outstanding and seems to mark a bright development.

I just discovered this band today randomly, very good stuff! Is it just me or was the very last song on both their last 2 albums the best ones??? For me on this album it was the 2nd to last song that I liked the most.

I think this band brings something original and "new" to this outchewed genre. They only should change their rather lame band name, IMHO. They deserve better.
If you want to get technical you could say its prog metal with some DM influence among others, but who cares. Many bands incorporate different styles or play around with them
One of the best metal albums ever to be written. Period.

How to combine different styles of music so the ending effect does not suck! Brilliant!

The joy of listening to this album is an amazing, great balance between traditional heavy and death metal.Great album.
this album is a masterpiece

AMAZING how this band has developed! One of the highlights of 2018. CONGRATS!

This album is the amazing travel around the styles and emotions. I'm waiting for some more.
didn't see the transition into rock with tiny hints of a country or folk vibe for the solo from 6:00 coming. that was really freaking good.
Yeah, it's quite amazing how these guys combine different styles …. at 6:33 it reminds me a lot to Sultans Of Swing (kill me but that's a fact).
I hear Dire straits too
Maybe not the song Sultans...but weird, some Dire Straits. Other influences too.
Great metal music that speaks for itself... What an atmosphere... Buy this on the spot!!
das ist ja Wahnsinn, was da für Einflüsse mit reinspielen. Tolles Album!!
Dire Straights got together with REM, Rotting Christ and Martin Van Duren to rock. What Tribulation was never able to pull off.
Tribuwho ? :-) ;-)
Tribulation had their moments but were overall overrated... This is far more catching...

Check out anterior. They are a bit further from real death metal but still deliver a punch and the solos are divine
This is interesting
Although this is a great band it is difficult to find a genre for them loads of talent indeed just confusion of style
It's not confusion, they know exactly what they're doing and it works well.
