  • In this interview with Pierre Poilievre, the Leader of the Opposition, as he shares his vision for Canada and critiques the current government's policies. Filmed in Penticton BC, Poilievre addresses the concerns of South Okanagan residents who feel neglected by the NDP's coalition with Justin Trudeau's Liberals. This conversation delves into the pressing issues facing Canadians today, including skyrocketing housing costs, spiralling food prices, increasing homelessness, and the rampant rise in crime.
Poilievre outlines his approach to solving these problems, emphasizing the need for lower prices, capped Government spending, and more effective law enforcement. He also discusses his plan to address climate change through technology rather than taxes, advocating for the expansion of green energy projects and faster permitting for green mines.
This video is a must-watch for anyone interested in the future direction of Canada offering insights into Poilievre plans to reduce government waste, incentivize green energy production, and restore Canada's prosperity.

Too many red flags with Pierre's Conservative record. Far too soon to throw in the trust with this career politician. Sure he talks smooth, but he's been practising his whole life after a brief stint as a paper boy, I'm sure he can say neat things like "common sense" and he probably believes his own ideas, but his ideas are troubling and many of them not based in reality.
Like the biggest lie in politics he said about every dollar spent is out of our pockets. Totally false for federal funding. 1Dime's video on this called "The Deficit Myth" can fully explain.

@@kingchongy1712 look, I get Canadians want change, 8 years is more than enough of Trudeau. Even his wife is tired of him. I'm mean the no-brainer is that we need something new, but why should Canadians have to choose the Opposition party just because he's the Opposition party? If people are disappointed in their leader now, why wouldn't they be super critical of any politician that wants to be the new leader? That's what I don't get. Why do people so quickly trust politicians? They are all full of it, much of the time. Don't we know that as adults yet? Politicians lie and manipulate to get power and they are really puppets of corporate power. You think Pierre is a friend of the poor, working class and union folk or more a friend of the rich corporations? His track record shows he's anti-union.
Now, he's also dangerously mislead or ignorant on modern money. He said "the government doesn't have any money, it's all coming out of our pockets" and that's blatant lie! That's a Thatcher and Reagan era lie that gives cover for cutting social programs and saying 'we can't pay for that' but you know who can? The people can pay big corporations, that's what we can do.
If you want to know more about this, which many people are not aware of because it isn't taught in schools or in general life, take a look at the well researched video by 1Dime called "The Deficit Myth: The Biggest Lie in Politics."
It doesn't mean governments don't waste money on foreign wars and corporate subsidies or bailouts - they do. But it also means Federal funding does NOT come out of our pockets. It is created out of thin air first, direct into the appropriate accounts and then taxed back later, deleting some from the economy because Canada has fiat currency and sovereignty over its own currency, cannot run out of money. That's a scare tactic, especially in conservative politics, but really done on all sides to some degree.
I'm tired of corrupt politics, debt, taxes, war and conflict. I don't want more of that forever and ever. So I'm focused on system change, with others who also want that. It's the system that is the sickness, politicians are just bad symptoms.

Most of us are fighting with and for Pierre to bring his "Common Sense" plan to fruition, but with there being 2 years to go, it feels like forever; it's 2 more years for Trudeau to do more damage than he's currently doing unless there is a way for early PM departure.

Do you really think Trudeau is the root problem and Pierre is the saviour? That's Geek God-like storytelling.
What if, instead of focusing on politicians who constantly lie and mislead the people to gain and maintain their power, which is tied to capital power, which is rooted in the capitalist incentive system which we all live in - we did something different? We worked on local community self-sufficiency that doesn't need politicians or corporations to meet our needs of abundance and prosperity? A One Small Town Contributionism idea.
In two years, instead of waiting for that vote one day and then hoping the next PM magically fixes the systemic problems - which cannot happen by one person anyway - we got together and figured out a way to save ourselves, and have fun doing it! What's Pierre's stance on unions? Does he support them? His voting record says no. He's pro-capitalist, so that means he's more supportive of rich corporations dictating work conditions and wages for the people, rather than letting the people have democratic control at work. He doesn't talk about that much does he.
He supports Ukraine and Israel, both heavily oppressive and corrupt governments.
He also doesn't know the biggest lie in politics that taxes don't fund spending at the Federal level, that's not how it works, not for fiat currency countries like Canada, US, UK, Japan, etc. he's proposing austerity and privatization that might alleviate financial stress a little while widening the income inequality gap and giving more power to corporations, while saying 'more money in the pockets of each person." Yeah, how much more? Because in MB the Conservatives did steep austerity measures, cut social services on healthcare and education and it has become a stressful, horrible situation for many and some people got a few hundred bucks back one time, while Cons left hundreds of millions in the coffers that could have been used on healthcare and education, for example.

The whole C02 thing is stupid what do we know that loves C02 trees plants. To capture the CO2 we should plant more trees it’s common sense. The plants filter the C02 and then in return give us breathable air. You can also help this process by building more scrubber facilities that scrub the air. These are basic systems that are used on spaceships and in planes today. Instead of Taxing people on climate change actually do something productive to counter it.
