Lmao she doesn’t even pause or sing a line from another verse like other singers, she’s just mumbling or sings random words to fill in. She’s the best.

Pausing or singing a line from another verse is not bad......I think this is much better than mumbling.
That's what you're supposed to do. If you keep going, even just singing la la la, you remember the words faster. If you stop, it's harder to remember the words because your brain isn't thinking about it.
@@kellyanderson7624 first of all its my opinion so I'll think it is right and you know Taylor has paused many times during a performance....so being a fan of her I think it depends upon the situation and who said that mumbling is good or right.At the end it's peoples opinion and you are no one to tell us that anything is right or not.Don't impose your opinion .I don't think that we are suppose to mumble cuz it makes the performance more messy....

I think she chose not to sing the words because it did not fit to her speech at that time which was about her trial
i think she didn't sing it because she gave the little speech bout sexual assault right before this, and it isn't true, he isn't all over her like a wine-stained dress she can't wear anymore, she is clean and the court case is finally over
@@meanm1289 If I'm not mistaken, the speech about the trial and her singing clean were on two different nights. Miss Americana kinda implies that they were on the same night, but if I'm not mistaken, that's not the case. It was mostly due to the editing, I think that they felt the Clean performance would fit the situation well. I don't know the exact dates of which one though, so I might be wrong, but I remember reading about people's experience in the shows every night + seeing videos of snippets of performances and I remember distinctly that they weren't on the same date. Might be worth be looking into bc I'm not 100% sure.

I believe it's because things like that shows some kind of humanity in her, and even knowing you can see it in any of her moments (not from the mvs), it always makes the person more lovable (well, in this case, not in all situations)

@Toxic Butch actually I was thinking about it and she probably re-wrote the song and edited it and fine-tune the words that she probably remembers one of the versions and doesn’t necessarily know if that was the final cut version and we’ve only heard the final cut version so it’s easier for us to memorize the words than for her because she is so involved in the writing

You're on stage, you have lights shining in your pupils at all times, you have fog and tiny people in the shadows 7 feet above and below you, you have strobe lights, you have a guitar and mike that you cnat even hear, you have an ear piece that's playing a click track which also defends the crowds, you can hear yourself walk on stage, and you're trying to sing both on key and with the correct phrasing all at the same time.
It's amazing people can do this stuff a few nights in a row
