Wonderful vid. Love you two. And about the dog being dragged along. Dear me, a comment someone made was ridiculous. There was no cruelty in that whatsoever so ignore the idiots. I actually laughed, seen it so often !!😂🤣.I think you're being very naughty tonight, well done!!😊😊🤣
Oh what a lovely distraction to the sadness over here at the minute, 💔 looking forward to more, and you both inspire us for our travels once teens are older, thanks again , the dog made me laugh, not sure which one, not walking on the ferry floor, 😂😂😂😂😂😂🍻🥂🐶🐶
Jessie🙈...bless her. I've been waiting for this video all week. Can't believe it took four attempts to find somewhere to stay the night, but what a beautiful spot right by the river. Loved how you went to check on the babies....all was quiet so another glass of wine could be enjoyed.....and I can't believe poor Angela is still getting the blame for Mrs Slaw's lost voice😂 take care x
Hallo Hope Alls Well , i think Jess needs a skateboard LOL so funny watching her slide , what a nice place you found in the end and lake view too, so All looking Good thanks for sharing and Take care All.
Guys, I genuinely love your watching your posts. Great content and a nice blend of humour and authenticity. As a resident of Northern Ireland (and a Motorhome owner) I watched your recent tour of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way with keen interest. You certainly know how to navigate and manoeuvre the van 😊 👏🏽 Keep up the great work 👍🏽
Brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed your first vlog, sorry you didn't get into Lahnstein , had many holidays there. Glad you got to Boppard and Mr Slaw had his Snitzell. Glutenfarht, look forward to the next one.
So its back on the road for you 4 great viewing from now on in I love it ,did you speak in German or and do they speak English Mrs. Slaw at the camp sites ? Is it easy to communicate. Looking forward to more vlogs take care the gowerz Portsmouth x
Thanks Mark! I do try to speak German, but it’s poor. At the campsites I can ask for the booking, but when they speak back to me in German it all falls apart! Most sites have some English and those that don’t we muddled through 🤣
Superb, loved the dog dragging! So chuffed to be in Germany same time as the slaws! We’re in Maastricht now in a yachting marina. Can already feel it colder as we head back north. Love your planned route so we will be following this one closely, great work guys love it!
Thanks Ian! Yes we were sooooo close as we passed you 🤣 The weather has really taken a turn for the worse, but hopefully picking up next week again. Safe travels home 🚍
Never been on that crossing, restaurant looked lovely. We love Brittany Ferries Portsmouth-St Malo route, nice meal in the restaurant and a night in a Commodore cabin and the drive to the south of France is a doddle. Just love your dogs peeping out of their carriers in the back of shot. We have 3 Labradors and one of them would do exactly what yours did on the boat corridor! Mrs Slaw, do you prefer Hinchliffes or Bolster moor pies?
The quarry you mention at about 12 minutes in, is so large, that they've actually had to build a new bit of the autobahn so they can expand further. We've stayed at the third Koblenz site before - right next to the confluence of the two rivers (I recognised it!) and even in the middle of summer we've managed to get on without booking.
Hi Tim, yes our Sat nav threw a wobbly at the new autobahn. We’ve never had as much trouble trying to get on a site as we did that day and we’ve been travelling in Europe since 1997!
Loved the vlog. We love that campsite. We went to the one in Koblenz in September 2020 between lockdowns and we couldn’t get in even then. Enjoy rest of trip .Look forward to seeing your adventures x
Thank you thank you for the great content. My wife and I fell over laughing at the corridor surfing scenes. We really do enjoy vLogs. Smooth crossing judging by the level wines glasses or were you still in port??? :) 😀 We can't eat or drink when on the high seas so hats off to you both for eating and drinking the night away on a ferry.
Thanks Michael! I was the same when I saw what was happening behind me 🤣 The food was very good and the crossing very smooth so it wasn’t any hardship 👍🏻
That was a long drive, how many hours were you at the wheel? I’m also surprised at the tone of some of the comments made by others. Looking forward to watching your journey as it unfolds👍
Hi Geoff, had we got into the first campsite, the driving hours would have been about four hours, but we ended up at plan D 🤦🏻♀️ I seem to have attracted some keyboard warriors this vlog 🤣
@@mrsslaw9242 Hi, I don’t really understand keyboard warriors, why waste time, maybe they should try doing something positive for themselves. FWIW I thought Jessie looked hilarious cleaning the boat, might have been painful for Billy 😂
And off on another great adventure, that ferry looked pretty good esp the food, i love your doggie being pulled on the floor, the site you ended up on my it looked huge, but what a view, have you been to Germany before? really enjoyed your first upload, xx
Great vlog first class👏👏 ,by the way what app do you use showing the motorhome driving the route ,as we have 5 weeks booked in the summer starting in derry, hull uk ,Holland, Germany, Switzerland, itlay ,France,
No. The ferry is a lot quicker check-in for dogs than the tunnel. They just check the microchip reading matches the passport and the rabies jab is in date.
Hi Richard, you can’t get EU pet passports in England anymore as we are no longer part of the EU. We got ours in Northern Ireland as they still have the Protocol in place.
That’s right. We drove through the Netherlands to get to Germany in this vlog. In the maps section we explain that at the end of the holiday we will spend some time in Breda. We had a lovely stay there and show lots of the town. Thanks for watching 🚍☀️
Shame you felt the need to make this comment without full knowledge of our situation. We are not shamed at all by this. We booked and paid £830 in full in October 2021 for the crossing, six months before P&O’s actions. There is only one ferry operator on that route and only three pet friendly cabins per ferry. It’s easy to have principles when you’re not in the same situation.
Actually Mrs Slaw I am not interested in your particular situation, as it probably wouldn’t matter anyway. Just felt the need to raise the plight of the British seafarers. Please don’t let my comment have any affect on your holiday.
You wouldn’t have seen the Queen use ‘of’ instead of ‘have’ in a written sentence like that either. People have no idea of correct grammar these days. Sad but true. Anyway, nice debating with you. Thanks for your engagement. It all helps our channel to grow.
Hilarious Mr.Slaw. I can't get my head round German either. Made me laugh a lot though!!😂🤣
Very enjoyable
Thank you!

OMGoodness! Just catching up with your adventures and nearly wet myself watching Jess polishing that floor! So funny bless her heart ❤️
She’s such a Jessie 🤣
Wow did not know about that ferry crossing route. Looks great for a quick getaway with a motorhome 😎
It really is!
Nicely edited, enjoy Germany guys 🇩🇪
Thank you!
Lovely guys hope you have a lovely trip don’t forget the F1 R I P our lovely Queen
Thanks John! We’ll be watching the F1 and we really hope we’re home in time for the funeral to pay our respects.

If that’s the first vlog, looking forward to the rest. Obviously Jessie doesn’t like Ferries, laughed so much. Such fun 😂😂

Laughing so hard at Jessie on the ferry 😂

Thanks guys, I am only now getting the chance to catch up on these vlogs…..so far so excellent. Loving your journey.b
Thank you!
And the food when my family went on this very ship the food is always spot on. The meals on ferry boats have improved a lot.
We were very impressed Andrew!

I have been to many parts of the romantische Straße and it’s so beautiful

Could you please tell me if the Dutch passport control was in Hull?
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks.
Hi Arash, it was English ladies who checked the passports in Hull and Dutch who checked them in Europoort.
whata drive😯

So is there no pet reception similar to the tunnel for pet check in ?
No. The ferry is a lot quicker check-in for dogs than the tunnel. They just check the microchip reading matches the passport and the rabies jab is in date.
@@TheSlawsAdventures Thanks for info. Love your videos. Still can’t decide between tunnel and Hull ferry for next year.
How easy are the pet passports to sort?
Dead easy in Northern Ireland. We did a vlog on it if you have a look back to May 😍
I don't do maps last time I use a map I got lost not use a TomTom ..
Mrs Slaw always knows exactly where we are on the maps. Comes in useful when we get lost 🤣
Can I ask why you got the pet passports in Ireland and not England
Hi Richard, you can’t get EU pet passports in England anymore as we are no longer part of the EU. We got ours in Northern Ireland as they still have the Protocol in place.
Unlike some comments I can’t say I liked watching a dog being dragged along by its neck!!
Sorry if you were offended Brian but, I can assure you, no animals were harmed in the filming of this vlog.
Hi were do you buy your maps ?
Hi Dave, usually online. For this trip, I think the German road atlas was WH Smith’s and the Bavaria map was Amazon.
