Driving the Romantic Road in Germany in a motorhome with Dogs. Day 1 - Würzburg.

- The Slaws are on their late summer trip around Germany with Billy and Jessie their Lhasa Apso dogs, in their Hobby motorhome Helga @HobbyCaravan
They spent last night on the banks of the Rhine at Camping Park Sonneneck near Boppard.
It's a glorious morning and Mrs Slaw enjoys a run while Slaw pops the drone up over the river and the campsite.
Soon they are on the road to the start of the Romantic Road, the Romantische Strasse, in Würzburg.
They stay off-grid on the stellplatz without electric hook up, but Slaw demonstrates how you can still use your 240v sockets with the EcoFlow River Pro, extra battery and solar panel #portablepowerstation #ecoflow #powergenerator #solarpanelforvan

Into Würzburg they go for a traditional glass of wine on the Alte Main Brücke, followed by a meal and more wine in the town. It's the town Wein Parade and bratwürst and Muller Thurgau is on the menu tonight!

Right your on the big TV, great job guys. Wurzburg is a gorgeous town, I’ve not been since 2000. I watched your French blog which was so good and Ireland 🇮🇪 I have family around cork in Ireland 🇮🇪 I loved it reminds me to visit my Irish ☘️ family in cork next year as not seen them since before covid but now watching your Germany 🇩🇪 holiday blogs when is your next trip is it next year now mrs slaw as cannot wait to see where you go to next what about Spain or Portugal 🇵🇹 or Italy 🇮🇹 but love your blogs

That was an excellent start of your Romantic Road trip. Having done the Romantic Road both north- and southward, I am planning to do do it again - off-season this time. I live between Frankfurt and Würzburg and did my studies at WÜ University. WÜ has much more to offer, e.g. the Residenz with the famous Tiepolo painting, the Käppele ... but I understand your time limit. - Having just returned from my third 4-week-trip through France this year, I will follow your trip now. Firstly Mr slaw yes its quite amazing how good on fuel our motorhomes are we've got a auto sleeper nuevo 2.2 . Its great to see the bum slapping is back lol ,some very nice scenery already first day in, the wine is clearly up to scratch Mrs slaw and the doggies are looking well so great vlog looking forward to more stay safe the gowerz Portsmouth x

We did the same journey in 2020 but with covid about not so many people about also lots of places closed ,it’s a great trip enjoy especially rothenburg 👍🏻

Hi Gary! We haven’t taken Helga round the Nurburgring, but Slaw did take my Honda iCDTi around the Nurburgring Nordschliefe in 2008ish. That was hairy 😱

Glad they have been helpful! You didn’t need tickets for the Wein Parade. I just googled events and found it. You could book a table in a producer’s marquee online, but we took pot luck and were very pleased 👍🏻

I paused your video and jumped onto my phone to comment. I have a pug/shitzu cross. His pug is eyes and colouring.....everything is shitzu, the little teeth smile....and the reverse sneeze. Didn't know what to call his sneezes! You nailed it! Loving your journey and I loved twinwood with the dancing. My partner and I were total mods, loved that scene. He passed a good few years ago, seeing you guys having fun made me smile. Dresses are gorgeous by the way! KTF XX

Did you guys have issues with narrow roads or with parking?
No. We found it very accessible in the motorhome. We didn’t park in any town centres though. We parked on stellplatz or campsites and walked in 🚍☀️
Hi Guys - could you tell me what the part numbers are for the two ecoflow units are plz and do they come with the connector lead
Hi Richard, the main powerstation is a River Pro and the second battery is a River Pro extra battery and comes with the connection lead.

No Paul, there were deposits on the glasses too. I think the wine was 6 euro each and 5 euro deposit on the glass 👍🏻
Why carry all that extra kit when you can put two larger battery's in and fixed sola on the roof and a two kilerwat inverter in and plug that into the mains input. As I do I can do 4 to 6 days of grid on 2 130ah battery's and 220w solar
That’s great Bob, if you’ve room to fit two extra large batteries. We all do what works for our outfits
