We have stayed at that campsite before for 2 nights and will be staying there again in September. There is a fabulous walk from out the front gate and left and left again. It brings you up through a forest to a viewing platform that looks out over the city. Great spot ❤
Be aware, the area you currently visiting in Germany is heading into the school summer break, starting 24.07. and Bavaria will follow on Friday. That is basically the south Germans going south bound to F/CH/A/I etc. Calculate some additional time when you drive on the roads!
Hi Guys! Great vids! Could you tell me where you stayed in Folkestone before you got the tunnel crossing ? Thank you! And get booking those ‘one nighters’ 😂😊
Welcome to Germany, next time please also consider to stop by at Baltic Sea (our favorite part of Germany). Eurotunnel is always fun and relaxing. If you miss your slot you'll be scheduled for another one. So don't worry to much! 🚐👨👩👦🐕
Great stuff [guten morgen] Been following since 'The outer hebrides " Now tell me..please Where did you acquire the "Starsky and Hutch sunglasses "😊 Thanks Enjoy your holiday
Nice video. As dog owners who are planning to get a van next year, just wondering why you don’t take your dog with you? Is it too much hassle in a van?
Hi - not too much hassle at all, we just wanted to do a few things on this holiday where dogs weren't allowed (cable cars mainly). Otherwise we'd have loved to have Roxy with us.
we are sub’d to the channel as we are currently looking for a van or motorhome. Is the reason you haven’t taken your dog because the van isn’t big enough? We have a golden retriever and he comes everywhere with us to have the same experiences as us? Think this is why we may go the motorhome route.Great vids though. Best, Darren & Wendy
We have a dog and are waiting to get our Sven this van is more than big enough for a dog we had a California with our dog and that worked perfectly for us so the Sven will be spot on for your dog and you guys.
@@andyarmitage2895 Cheers for this. We have just started to look and know we have a journey ahead of us as we are so new to this! We live on a boat so happy with batteries and solar etc….. we use need to get the right van!
@@LoveLifeTriumph Hi there we had a VW California Ocean for 3 years there are two of us and our dog and there was more than enough room for us all and we loved it, but we now want a tad more space and the Sven at 6m long is for us the perfect size without being too big as it has the rear bed set up and a bathroom as well, we are so looking forward to getting it for new adventures with our dog :)
Nice video guys. Great to see how you are getting on with the Sven MAN and looks very nice where you are. We stayed in the Black Forest in 2016 , but we may have been a little higher up, as we looked down into a valley. Enjoy your trip. Look forward to your next update.
We’d usually take Roxy on our adventures but there were a few things we wanted to do which she wasn’t allowed to be with us for (cable car / train etc) so this time we left her behind 🥲
Only two and a half minutes without mentioning a dog. And then shortly after referring to “doggies”… 🤢🤮 The dumbing down of society continues at a pace. All boosted too no doubt.
Thanks for this series of videos. It has given us so much inspiration for our trip to Germany in September. Keep up the good work guys 👍
Our pleasure!
Couldn’t believe we stayed on the exact pitch when we visited about 20 years ago
Brilliant!!
It’s just ace that having a camper allows you to adventure to so many places.the Sven over a California is a step up

Great to share your adventures, while stuck at home
Thanks guys and very interesting place.
I'll be doing a similar trip in September, so I am looking forward to watching your experiences.

Doh…! Just read it in the description, ‘Coastguard inn’ how did you book it? 😊
Just gave them a call to book a table and a parking space 👍
@@CampervanTime thank you! 🙏🏻

HI OZZY🐶
What way of sorting out sore backside is to buy some cycling short, which are padded. It doesn't have major difference. Have a good holiday.
Great video. Heading to Freiburg myself next week. I'd love to know what camping chairs you have there? They look super comfy!
They’re Isabella chairs, I can’t remember exactly which model, but they’re the more ‘compact’ ones
Isabella Thor
Great stuff [guten morgen]

Thanks
Enjoy your holiday
😁 They are Oakley Contrail with Blue Prism lenses :)
Thought of you both last night, down at Dysart harbour (Scotland) local to us and had a Sven parked next to us from Germany!
Very nice!

Fab video can I ask what make are your table and chairs as we need to source some for when our Sven arrives :)
Same question as I was going to ask. And did the cover come with the seats? Are those the seats that have the clip on feet rests? Thanks.
They certainly pack them in…
We stayed on the sq in December a loverly place
Just left Germany, you mentioned lake Bodensee, a must place to visit & stay is Meersburg. Beautiful place you won't be disappointed. Enjoy your trip.
Stay tuned 🤩😉
Frieburg is still a case study for GCSE geog. Something to do with ITS SUTS and sustainability

Isn't Chamonix about 14 hours from Freiburg 🤔Confused 😕
It’s just under 6hrs 👍
I must have the wrong Freiburg or the wrong Chamonix. We sit here consulting google maps to see where you are 😂
Ahh - it’s Freiburg im Breisgau
Ahh! I wondered what the heck was happening (having spent a few years optimising trucking routes). I thought you'd lost the plot 🤣😂🤣
