I can imagine the scenario right now: There's everyone watching the game, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, everyone. You beat the level and they all cheer until Act 3 pops up. They all stop and go “Ohhh no.”
Glad I kept mine plus the cartridge safe. It's great to hold that old controller once in a while. ^^ But hey they're making games that can play the old cartridges. Maybe pick up one or maybe a copy of those sonic collection games?

TheComicMaster1995 The crab actually has a small hurtbox (the area on an enemy that will hurt or kill then if hit) and the Slicer was very annoying. They always seemed to be put in areas where you get speed or after an elevator.

Those guys at Sega must had thought: "All levels were way too easy so far, so let's do something to make the players cry of anger". This was the birth of Metropolis zone =) And how I love this freaking level!!
This theme is just so great. It seems like the end of the game is inching closer, but once that first guitar riff is thrown in... instant chills, man. This song is a great way to sum up this stage. Scary, yet very triumphant in that your journey is coming to a close

The reason that there is a act 3 in Metropolis is because that third act was gonna be Genocide City zone but this zone was scraped and they decided to put a third act instead.
This game made me request a Sega Genesis for Christmas back in the 90's. I got my first one back in 1996, and I still own that very same model 2 console. Thank you grandpa, rest easy.

I grinded for hours to beat act 2 only to see a goal sign and I no joke did the loudest scream I’ve ever done in my life when it said “Metropolis Zone - Act 3” I did get past it and beat the game but would I do it again if it meant playing this zone again? FUCK no!
This theme is so wacky, untamed and brilliantly catchy. For your sakes, you better have all Chaos Emeralds at this point because holding on to your rings is impossible in this zone.

This level is the virtual equivalent of a migraine.
Metropolis Zone is pretty annoying,but has a sick music
In my younger days we got to this level just to listen to this rap music
And yes the level kicked out asses
A little bit of 80s runoff in that sound. I like it.
This theme is so wacky, untamed and brilliantly catchy. For your sakes, you better have all Chaos Emeralds at this point because holding on to your rings is impossible in this zone.
Not for me. I only get the last Chaos Emerald at Wing Fortress.
