I am a 13 year martial artist starting with Tai Chi. All of the skills I picked up from Karate and Taijutsu are expressed in Tai Chi as well, but the subtlety is vastly different. I feel like the Japanese styles are much more exacting, use tons of rules, while the Chinese styles are much more fluid, use the principles. Tai Chi has no specific technique as everything flows through each other so there is no start and end. I never saw that philosophy from the Japanese concepts.
TieXiongJi check your history, most Japanese martial arts have a Chinese foundation or origin. the Japanese have taken it and applied it to their own culture. Both have their application and validity, choosing between them for practice is a personal choice and opinion
so does that mean they are fake and scammers? Why don't u learn something useful like the southern style? Like wing chung, chow gar mantis or choy lee fut (if u don't like mma)?
