LOVE your video. You are right on top of my hole at 42'. Caught 2 there last week. Loved that you added the 10:15 am departure of the Lake Express. BTW that hole was HOT in late August 2022! White Swedish Pimple size 9 will bring in those kings! 2023 the weather was odd and the fish trickled in slowly over many weeks - No fast push. Tight Lines!
Great video! I tried vertical jigging for the first time a few weeks ago just a bit farther north with no success after 3 days only saw a handful of fish landed. Gunna have to try Muskegon lake the thrill of getting to fight a king in open water still has me itching. We were using 2oz jigging spoons of every color just think it was just a bit early still for big pods of fish to be held up.

I was there in the first week of September 2 years ago. We spent 2 days fishing and never seen anyone hook a fish. Went home very frustrated.
Considering that was our first year trying it, I'm certainly no expert but my guess is the run started late that year. Thanks for watching!

I was out three times prior to that and each time a lot of fish were being boated. That trip the bite was much slower.
I fished out of Manistee Lake twice and boated one. First year for me also.
Nice! I ended up getting one shortly after that on skein, but the video wasn't any good.
