@@TTSprime i think this is less about being validated and more about feeling not just seen but not alone. As someone who lived most of my life not hearing they/them or other trans people in general it can be pretty isolation and lonely in the sense of not being understood by others in the way that genderqueer people would understand! It’s kinda like if you had ginger hair but nobody else/very few had ginger hair in your town, or just very few. While people still probably care about you it can still feel upsetting at not having someone who understand what’s it like in a weird way (which is my situation funny enough) Now take into consideration that being trans means more discrimination and/or bullying throughout. Pronouns are used very often in day to day life so there’s a near-constant reminder that they are trans along with describing words tied to femininity or masculinity (beautiful, handsome, etc.) which would also add into those reminders. The internet gives more opportunities to people in those situations to feel seen and understood, along with seeing forms of support and respect which can make people happy. Community is a huge part of human existence and being part of communities who love and except others for who they are and understand them helps mental health which can also help physically health.
