    Full extension after ACL surgery is an anatomical necessity since the graft has to fit in the notch perfectly only in FULL equal extension

    Who prescribed knee surgery (buckling, limited mobility knee due to injury). Most doctors are just randomly guessing and I am tired hearing their bull****. Oh you have a Gout history then there is your answer. After a couple of xrays, MRI. Well after MRI 1 added it was a PVNS + GOUT. Keep asking do I need surgery for PVNS and all they said was NO because of Gout. And now due to this random buckling or giving out knee was rush to ER and diagnosed for seizure/ lose of consciousness after answering their questions. After bossing me around like can you lay down here, can stand and move to the other push cart bed thingy and lastly inside the ER to stand up again and walk to the bed for testing. After the testing or whatever handed me some papers for following consultation and the exit is right over there. A couple weeks later $10k+ owed.

    Is pulling leg good for leg extention?

    • @yourphysioonline
      @yourphysioonline  2 года назад +1

      I don't really know what you mean with pulling leg. If you mean, pulling on somebodies leg, I would say no. Even if the pull is into extension (but it's most likely to go into traction), you still need active control of the knee.

    Can walking on toes work for knee extention?

    • @yourphysioonline
      @yourphysioonline  2 года назад

      Not really. While you walk on your toes, you're probably focussing more on keeping your balance than on extending the knee

    Hi, i had acl recon 2 weeks ago and a few days after my surgery my calf really tightened up and make it very difficult to straighten. I had a scan to check for blood clot but it was clear but the calf is really painful and tight. Any tips?

      Hi, keep on extending the knee. It will get better over time. If you keep pushing yourself into extension, you knee will adapt to it and will use it more frequently during the day. I hope this helps. And if you need any personal help, consider booking an online consultation at yourphysio.online

    When im working on knee extension with these exercises im noticing pain in my hip as if its pulling that area, any idea what it could be?

    • @yourphysioonline
      @yourphysioonline  3 года назад +1

      Hi Vinay, I need more information to answer that question, it can be a hamstring or just activation of the hip that you're not used to. Good luck

    I have full knee extension so I can get my leg straight but I still can't get active hyper extension. And I'm 4+ months out of surgery. I can get most of my full hyperextension passively extending my leg out with weight or gravity pulling my knee down but I still can't achieve active hyper extension. Is that something I should be concerned about'?

    • @yourphysioonline
      @yourphysioonline  Год назад

      Not really, hyper extension isn't really needed, as long as you have extension. But try finding that activation to get that activation in there. It will come eventually

    I've had recon surgery over 6-7 years ago. Didn't physio properly, and reinjured it 2 years ago. I've been going gym consistently for the last 8 months. It feels a lot stronger, and the clicking has been reduced. I still get instability issues and it feels like my new ACL gets pulled when imbalanced.
    Is there a way to perhaps increase its flexibility? It feels rigid if that means anything. I also have hyperextension, but the reconstructed knee does not hyperextend as much as my other knee. Should I work to increase flexibility to hypertension?

    Hey! I’m 5 months post op and Every morning I wake up and have to stretch ACL to get it straightened back out because it’s so tight. Is this normal? I can powerclean 225 and squat 345

    • @yourphysioonline
      @yourphysioonline  Год назад

      I don't think you're stretching the ACL, but it can be the joint itself. If the stiffness decreases over the first couple of minutes after getting up, it can be a normal reaction to the surgery. And make sure you take a look at your training regime, because hitting those numbers is okay for some people. But if you started doing them too quickly, you could irritate the knee causing that stiffness. Good luck

    My leg is straight but when I am walking my knees not going backwards...9 months after acl surgery

    • @yourphysioonline

      Okay. This could be a control issue. Or your knee doesn't have full extension. To give some clear advice, I need to see the knee by a video consultation. If you want to, go to yourphysio.online where you can book your appointment.
