talentwise she is there ,shes always been there, but i think her next door personality plus her being true to herself and wont play into this "diva" mold is what holding some people from seeing it. but shes getting there on her terms which is actually more impressive.
I love this rendition! It is probably my favorite rendition of this song. Let’s also not forget that she doesn’t really even rehearse these Kellyokes either and let that sink in. KC is definitely one of the best singers in the business currently & one of the best voices ever, period. Her versatility and ability to make her voice match whatever genre she’s singing is incredible! Not to mention that her tone, clarity, control, transitions, belts, agility, etc. are impeccable. People know that she can sing , but it’s like they don’t realize just how talented she is & don’t give her the credit that she deserves. She’s had to fight the label of being from a singing competition her whole career, and I can’t help but wonder if that’s at play in this conversation as well. That in combination with she just is who she is and doesn’t try to act like she’s anything other than herself with some fake public persona (which I personally appreciate and respect). I very much hope that she ends up getting the attention and respect that she deserves to get from the masses. 💙

You are so right, Brad. People need to start putting her name in with the other huge female singers. I’ve been her biggest fan since watching her on AI. I know that people, who didn’t know her voice really, have seen her immense talent since The Voice and her talk show.

Besides her redoing be still from my December yesterday I think this is one of her most angelic performances her voice was in perfect control the entire time. Yet somehow you feel every single word she sings She can sing her ass off and she's most likely the best singer of my entire generation. But she can emote like nobody else. And the comparison to Billie is really hard because Billie has her own very unique voice She doesn't tend to pack power. Kelly literally has to hold hers back. But Billy wrote this song I'm pretty sure her brother composed it incredible lyrics super well written just like all of her music. Kelly just kind of bumped it up to another level
nah she's better than. each of the divas are good at 1-3 things, but kelly can do it all in all genres. mariah has whistle notes, but her belting is not great for example

Seriously, I don't think Whitney, Celine or anyone can come close to Kelly. She might not have the writing talent, or at the very least not the qauntity of output, but her singing, technical skill, emotional delivery and amazing versatility is just unmatched in the popular sphere. I have yet to hear someone that can take over a song to such a degree as Kelly Clarkson can. It almost feels sad for the original artist, but at least they made a very good song.
Also, smart choice to put something of your own after the reaction video. Very on theme with a little 'a moment like this' vibes coming from the lyrics and tones. I was surprised by how high you sing, for someone with such a lower masculine voice, you have a certain finesse and emotion in the (for you) higher registers that is beautiful and almost delicate. I don't think it fits at all with your super manly look and speaking voice, but that is the fun of being able to surprise people. Great job!
