For future gardens, if your squash flower, but never set fruit, you can always rescue some food value by eating the blossoms! Cucurbitaceae crops are very dependent on their insect (mostly bee )pollinators. If there aren't enough, humans can help by transferring pollen from the male to female flowers with a q-tip when the females are open in the morning.
Deer like to strip away the bark on tender young trees. Might be a good idea to place wire mesh fence around tree for protection. Garden looks good and giving back
I really enjoyed this gardening video. I had been looking forward to see the results. It is so interesting to learn what works in a garden. I think I will try wood chips as mulch based on your findings. At the least, it will be an interesting experiment!

@@AdventurousWay you’ve got that right! We finally took our Rv cross country from Georgia to Oregon and areas in between. My lovely garden was a mess. Oddly, I have the most beautiful peppers while everything else is a mess. My herb garden was slightly overgrown, but it’s back in working order. It’s all fun and interesting.
You😢hazelnut trees will do well I think, you should firm them in though, a good foot wait all around any tree/ shrub you plant o firm up the soil, looking forward to roasted hazelnut next year or may be three 😂take care
